The UlquiorraxOrihime fanclub (v.21) ~One day our hands will touch~

Ahem, I want to say something about those hand scene...
This is Orihime's hand on the mirror in her poem, volume 27.

This is Ulquiorra's "everything divide us" in the sketch of volume 30, chapter 262, Unblendable, "The Slap"

After all, this page is really NOT NORMAL. I still didn't get this one. Even if I think I did get, but I still think that I don't. I think this is the 1st sketch of Ulqui ever right? Is it the time when Ulquiorra was outside the door and listen to Orihime's sobbing? (Because the chapter stops at that time, please forget about Rukia and Kaien scenes) I see his hand's reflection, but I don't think there's a mirror here. Just at least look at the Orihime's hand on mirror above and compare the shade. I guess it's the white marble door of Orihime's room. It seems like he wants to come in one more time but stops at his hand here. Arr, now I start to angry when I watch the anime at this scene, they were cut off here.
Somebody talk about this is Kubo's foreshadow of the future chapter. And yet it's true. Look at chapter 353, The Ash, the hand reaching scene. I know you're used to it.

As you see, Orihime's hand which can touch her reflection in the mirror TRIED to grab Ulquiorra's hand but couldn't because his hand (which hestitated to touch the reflection of his hand in the sketch) was turning to ash.

Ever since Ulquiorra "died" trying to reach out to Orihime, I thought "yep, this was foreshadowed through the "everything divide us" sketch".

For a while I had the pessimistic attitude that Ulquiorra won't come back, because of the foreshadowing in the sketch and what I interpreted to be some foreshadowing in Orihime's poem. I had the idea that "well, it's beautiful to see he began to understand the heart, but it's a bittersweet connection he has (with Orihime) because there's too many factors that go "against" their relationship."

But now that I think about it, there's too many things left unanswered with Ulqui's "death" - too much that in a way doesn't make sense. I mean, if he's gained a heart, doesn't his death prove his belieft that hearts are a weakness/useless? Shouldn't he come to realise the opposite now that he has a heart? Also, too much was left unsaid between him and Orihime...yet they made some connection. In some way, it's kinda beautiful, to think that despite not being around each other a lot, they made a connection, that despite everything dividing them, they made a connection. But at the same time, we're left wondering - how will this effect Orihime and will we see Ulquiorra truly learning about the heart, and her changing for the better because of him, just as she's changed him for the better?

Personally, I think the best way to answer these questions, is to bring Ulquiorra back - to prove to him that hearts are not useless as he has learned to believe, in his existance as a hollow.

What I like about those sketches (Orihime's and Ulquiorra's hand) is how it suggests that both of them are reaching for something they can't really grasp - again, this looks like a bit of negative foreshadowing, but we can only hope for the best.

You're not alone in that theory. I remember quite a while back there was a discussion on whether it was a mirror reflection or if he was reaching for the door again.

I never actually realised this, but one of his fingers is raised, (the hand on the right) and you can see his black fingernail So that is Ulquiorra. I don't know why some people used to argue that it wasn't. (Obviously to steal the shippyness away from us )

The reason I love anime because of its merchandise. I just found out a set of Ulquiorra and Orihime NOT in their uniform. They are so pretty. I'm not sure if they were allowed to share or not. But here are they.

Orihime's so pretty in a priestess outfit while Ulquiorra's in his coolest casual clothes ever And look at the number. #40 for Ulqui while #32 with 3 x 2 = 6 or 3 + 2 = 5 for Orihime. Is it coincidence here? XD
