Sorry for the title, guys. I didn't recieve much feedback for names this version, so I wound up coming up with one. ^^ As always, if there's serious negative feedback, I'll see to having it changed.



I've tried to turn much more of my focus to the FC this time around, and I think I succeeded for the most part. A few new members still slipped my sight, but if you find your name isn't on the list, just say so as part of your post, and I'll pick up on it. ^^ I care very deeply for the UlquiHime fandom, and I want to make sure everyone's name is credited as part of it.

To all the uninitiated, welcome to the Ulquiorra x Orihime fanclub, a place where those who feel giddy at the idea of reverse-stockholm sydrome, gather to bask in the aesthetic beauty of this ever-more popular pair of lovebirds!

If you enjoy Ulquiorra and Orihime's interactions as well, why not join? We're an easy-going and generally accepting community, devoted to one of the most dynamically opposite pairings in Bleach.

First of all, the rules:

*If you do not like a pairing DO NOT post in that pairing FC. If you read the fanclub and want to discuss something that was said then sort it out via PM or elsewhere, do NOT go into that fanclub and start a war. Anyone posting in a pairing fanclub that isn't a fan will almost automatically receive a ban.

*You can discuss other pairings but when others discuss your pairing negatively and you don't like it sort it out through pm, if you break the above rule to start a flame war it's an instant ban.

*Neg reps to rival pairing fc posts over such things won't be tolerated. I consider this being in an FC of a pairing you don't like therefore breaking a rule.

*I'd suggest just totally not reading the fc of the pairing you don't like but I know that is never gonna happen. You all wanna be able to talk about other pairings so much well fine but just be prepared for others to do it about your favourite pairing also. These rules were changed as per YOUR wishes so don't come complaining to me when you decide you don't like the change.

About Ulquiorra and Orihime

Spoiler!

Ulquiorra Schiffer

Arrancar and 4th Espada in Aizen's army. Best noted for his melancholic appearance and two prominent tear streaks down his face. Elegant and aloof, Ulquiorra almost never shows any emotion whatsoever, but can be rather snide and condescending when speaking. Has a habit of referring to people as "trash". Unlike most arrancar, he does not like to indulge in violence and unnecessary killing. Is very likely a Vasto Lorde class.

Orihime Inoue

One of the main protagonists. A cheerful, optimistic girl. Has a rather active imagination and comes off as a bit air-headed and clueless. Orihime in fact cares deeply for her friends and tries her best to help. But due to her lack of combat ability, she is always the one getting protected in the end. Secretly has a crush on Ichigo. Her ability "Souten Kisshun", previously only seen as a healing technique, is in fact a power violating the realm of God.

Page 5: Orihime remembers where she had 'met' him before and after one of the escorts asked who the hell he is, Orihime said wait! And ask if he had something to say to her.
Page 6: After shooting one of the escorts, Ulquiorra calmly said yes, he does have something to tell her.
Page 7: As Orihime started to heal the escort, she told the other one to run....
Page 8: ...but, he bit the dust as well! And so, she started to heal him as well.

If it's rage, this so has to be the second time we saw a angry Orihime. XD) “Come with me, woman.” And don't speak(After she was about to say something.), and she will say yes, any other words will mean he will have to kill. And it won't be her.
Page 10: Oh, no, it will be her friends. And don't ask any questions nor say anything. She hold the threads to her friend's lives, and understand that isn't a negotiation.
Page 11: This is a bloody order, and Aizen-'sama' want her power and he is under orders to bring her back unharmed, and he will only say this once.

Page 20: Ulquiorra mention that the sun has already set in their hands... and then after saying those words:

Page 3: While it look like Orihime was making a list for Hitsugaya and...the big boob lady, and then she glanced at something on her wrist, which was a bracelet. She start to remember words from Ulquiorra.
Page 4: The bracelet has a special aura that make so only Arrancar can sense her and she can past through solid matter. He told her to put it on and not take it off, and she has 12 hours in which she can say goodbye to only ONE person.
Page 5: And if the person notice her saying good bye, well... that will be going against her orders. ...Yeah.

Page 8: After the 7th Espada ask who was missing, Ulquiorra mention Orihime's name.

Chapter 247:
Page 21: Orihime was wearing a Arrancar outfit, and Ulquiorra said that surprising she looked good in that. (And... may or may not been there longer than he said he was. ) That surprised Orihime and cause her to ask when did he come in, which he said that he just come in and that she should stop make such a fuss(or something. >.> )
Page 22: ....Ulquiorra has tell her that her friends have broken into Hueco Mundo.

Page 3-4: Orihime repeated what she just heard as a question, Ulquiorra said yes, and that it shouldn't hold no meaning to her, for her body and mind are the Arrancar, which what the clothing she wears means.
Page 5: Orihime said yes sir.. and Ulquiorra asked just what her mind and body exist for? Orihime said yes again.
Page 6: And said here that they exist for Aizen and for his will.

Chapter 249:
Page 7: Ulquiorra has just left her room and knows that she only show a second of dismay and didn't even flinich at his questions and that she is a strong girl/woman.
Page 8: ...and here the pervert Nnoitra himself, and he asked how she was looking. Ulquiorra didn't answer. Nnoitra then mention that Orihime is under the care of Ulquiorra.
Page 9: Nnoita asked how was the 'taming' going. Ulquiorra looked at him(like annoyed.) and turn walk away with the parting word of scum. Nnoitra moved in front of him and said don't be so testy and he just wanna to know how things are going. Ulquiorra ask him does it bonder him? And it was just a trivial matter. (....excuse me as I laugh.)
Page 10: Ulquiorra said that she was already under Aizen's spell. Nnotira ask if it was Aizen's sword. Ulquiorra said no, and that when she was invite they set up emotional 'cages' by A. threating her friends. B. the 12 grace period in which she can only say goodbye to only one person and they can't know it. Nnotira wonder how in the hell that is a cage.
Page 11: Ulquiorra looks at him and tell him why. (Nnoitra is not impressed. At all. XD)
Page 12: And mention the fact she said goodbye to one person will 'show' poof that she left on her own will and just look like she betray her friends in her only will.
Page 13: ....Nnoitra is now a little more impressed and said that was well thought out and something they would expect from Aizen. Ulquiorra said well thought out? This is just a game to Aizen if she is trap, goodie! If not? Oh welll! Either way, she has not the power to get the hell out of her. (....*look at page 8* Contradict much?)
Page 14: And she will not have the will to turn against them. (...I have the urge to yell contradict again.... >.>)
Page 16: Flashback mode, activate! Ulquiorra gazed at the two Arrancar girls that storm out after being told to leave by Aizen. (and wait...does this mean he was there to see Aizen showing Orihime the item of doom?)

Chapter 262:
Aha....yes, one of the more famous chapters for Ulquihime. XD
Page 8: Instead of scaring her with appear without a announcement like the last time, Ulquiorra said he was coming in before he come into her room.
Page 9: First panel: Orihime looks at him. Panel 2-4: Ulquiorra looks with a soften(?) face and then gave her the 'news' on what happen to Chad. Panel 5: Orihime said that Chad isn't dead. Panel 6: Ulquiorra glanced to the side.
Page 10: Orihime repeated herself, and Ulquiorra turned his gaze toward her while still facing the side. Ulquiorra turned to tell the servant Arrancar to enter and it did with some food. Ulquiorra told her to eat, which Orihime says that she doesn't want it. (...Yeah, won't blame her, it likely has human sou-*brick'd*)
Page 11: Ulquiorra tells her that she should eat and it's her duty to(or something like that.), Orihime made no move to do it and so Ulquiorra says that shall he shove it down her throat or give her a IV(or however ya wanna word it.). Orihime again repeated that Chad ain't dead. Which makes Ulquiorra say such persistence, and that it doesn't matter either way and ask her what she wants him to say? To not worry, he is alive?
Page 12: Ulquirra says that he not here to comfort her, Orihime looks toward the ground. Ulquiorra frown(?) and said that he doesn't understand and ask her why she so concerned about matters of life and death? And said that any rate, her friends will be killed by the Espada/Arrancar. Which made Orihime look sad(?), and he continued on with so what if one dies sooner than the others?
Page 13: Ulquiorra says that they should have seen this coming, Orihime told him to stop it, but he continued on with: If they couldn't see this, then they are foolish. Ulquiorra said if he was Orihime, and they didn't test their streight before coming, he will be very annoyed at their stupidity.
Page 14: Orihime did a bitchslap of mightily DOOM and awesome. XD Ulquiorra turns his gaze to her.
Page 15: Ulquiorra looked sad or shock, he continued to look at her before turn and leaving with the words that he will be back in one hour, and if she doesn't eat her food by then, he will bind her and force it down her throat.
Page 16: Orihime has start to cry after he left.. but what this? Ulquiorra was still stand behind the door and listening to her cries!


Chapter 270:
Page 13: Ulquiorra mention how surprising that Orihime's friends come all this way, and yet... had doubts she was a traitor.

Chapter 272:
Page 9...uh, doesn't really count to much, but hey, Orihime start to said Ulquiorra's name when it the door open. XD

Chapter 277:
Page 10: What this? A person appear in the ruin doorway, who could it be!? ....okay, it's easy to tell that it's Ulquiorra. (Random note: I am kinda of surprise the girls haven't move yet. O.o)
Page 11: Ulquiorra asked the Arrancar girls what happen here. (Interesting note: I find it interesting that in panel one of this page, we don't see Ulquiorra's face, just part of his chest and neck. (And....what the heck? He got a new clean outfit!) And, well.... Lolly and Menoly were scared. >.> )
Page 14: Orihime wondered aloud as she heal Ichigo who could have done such wounds, and Grimmy answered her. Ulquiorra as he stood in front of a very big hole in the wall asked the Arrancar girls who did this, and Lolly said it was Grimmy. (...hello, last panel, it look like Ulquiorra has a expression of shock.
Page 15: While Orihime look at Grimmy questioningly, Grimmy said that was Ulquiorra's trademark, any prey he take a interest in he stabs a hole in them the same place where he is. To Ulquiorra, he looked toward the girls before saying '...I see.' and leaving.
Page 20: ....That didn't take long, Ulquiorra appeared right behind Grimmy. (And bwhahaha, it just me, but I am amused that his eyes were darken. )
Page 21: ...To the shock everyone. XD

Chapter 278
Page 6: In panel 3 Ulquiorra looked at Orihime with a frown(?), and panel 4 Orihime looks at him with shock or something. And in panel 5 Hime looked away guiltily? Panel 6, Ulquiorra's frown lessened.
Page 7: Ulquiorra mentioned to Grimmy that the 'woman' was placed in his care, and so... *BEEPING* hand her over!
Page 15-16: ...and there goes Ulquiorra! (...holy cow, I think he cursed. o.o)
Page 17: Orihime stared in shock(and maybe horror.) and asked what just happen to Ulquiorra. After she was told, and told to heal Ichigo, she defiantly said no.

Chapter 315
Page 16: Ulquiorra is back, and appear right in the same place as Orihime was.
Page 17: Looks between Ulquiorra and Orihime! (Looks to be some shock from Orihime?)
Page 19: Ulquiorra was walking toward Orhime. ..I think.

Chapter 316:
Page 16: Ulquiorra is walking towards Orihime and asks if she's scared.
Page 17: It goes back to Orihime then to Ulquiorra who says that she is useless to Aizen, no-one will protect her, and that she will die there. (More eyesmex.) He says that he asked her if she was scared.
Page 18: She replies by saying she is not scared because everyone came to save her, her heart is with them. (Ulquiorra is looking confused, or something)

Chapter 317:
Page 4: Ulquiorra (standing in front of her) says that it is nonsense.
Page 5: "You're unafraid because your friends came for you? Are you serious?" Panel goes from Orihime to Ulquiorra then back to Orihime again, "Yes." The backgrond is whited out and Hime has a soft look in her eyes as she thinks of her friends...
Page 5: She starts to talk about her friends and there is a panel of the both of them. Orihime is opening up and Ulquiorra is simply listening to what she has to say.
Page 7: Another panel of the two of them, they're standing a fair distance apart.
Page 8: Panel of Ulquiorra as Orihime says "ah, they felt the same (as me)" she says she would do the same for her friends.
Page 9: Another panel of them, Orihime talks about the heart. Then...
Page 10: "Hearts? You humans are always talking about hearts as if you hold them in your hand. My eye sees everything, nothing can escape it. What it doesn't see doesn't exsist. That is how I've always fought." He starts to walk towards Orihime. "What is a heart?" He reaches out his hand towards her chest. "If I rip open your chest will I see it? If I crack open your skull will I find it in there?"
Page 11-12: Ichigo bursts out of the floor as Ulquiorra still has his arm outstretched ()

Chapter 318:
Page 1: "Once again Orihime is captured-- but this time it's different!" Because Ulquiorra isn't holding her by chains or holding her so she can't go.
They're both standing close in the first panel and Ulquiorra has put his hands back down.
Then another panel of Ulquiorra with foreshadowing technique and Orihime's flowing hair (hehe)
Page 4: Ulqui/Ichi stare down. Orihime says "Kurosaki-kun" trailing off... the last panel is of Ulquiorra standing in front of Orihime. Busted. (lmao)
Page 5: Ulquiorra steps away from Orihime, he won't harm her and he'll let her live (even though he said otherwise before) Another panel of the two of them, Ulquiorra standing in front of Orihime taking a step away from her and her looking at him. He states that Ichigo is a different story. He will let Orihime live and Ichigo will be killed (he won't be... he's the main character)

Chapter 340:

Page 8-9: Ulqui returns after so long!
Page 10: Ulquiorra asks if Ichigo has gotten stronger because of Orihime (or because of Grimmjow or everyone else but let's not debate now) Ulqui turns to look at Hime. (He's standing in front of her because you can see his coat-tails. He says that Orihime is one of them. (She is looking at him while he is talking.) That fact won't change even if she is rescued (so he isn't keeping her prisoner anymore, really.)
Page 11: He says that rescuing her is meaningless. Ichigo says that is not up to Ulquiorra to decide. He agrees. He says that Aizen made that desicion instead.

Chapter 341:
(The chapter that brought in so many new fans!)
Page 3: Loli and Menoli come up to get Orihime. Orihime is standing watching the fight and is unaware. Panel of Orihime's face and then Ulquiorra's sword.
Page 4: Ulquiorra's sword is swung at Ichigo and Orihime has a conflicted look on her face. The air is drawn around her and the background whited out.
Page 5: They continue battling and Orihime is shown conflicted again. Whether it is about Ulquiorra, Ichigo, both, or if she should step in.
Page 11: Ichigo notes that he is able to keep up with Ulquiorra. Maybe because Ichigo has gotten stronger, or because of something that's happened...
Page 12: In their first fight, Ulquiorra fought like a machine. .. or even a statue. What are statues made out of? Stone. And Ulquiorra was said to be like stone, according to Kubo. But now... Ichigo says that Ulquiorra is more human. (There is a panel of Ulquiorra reacting to it, which obviously means it's true )
Now think... what must've happened between then and now to make Ulquiorra more human and less out of stone? He was stuck in Grimmy's sugar cube for so long, he might have had time to think... or maybe it was talking about hearts?
Page 13: BAM, Ulquiorra blasts a hole through the floor with his sword. Talk about a temper tantrum..
"...I... have become more human?" There is a panel of Orihime and then of him, hiding his eyes. He says "I see." He doesn't deny it.
My favourite manga techniques are all used in those two panels... foreshadowing, erasing the background, drawing the air around the characters. little things like that are what draws the moment.
Page 14: Because of what Ichigo said, Ulquiorra starts to fight Ichigo with more force. Now he starts to enjoy the fight and Ichigo isn't able to keep up as much. He can't stop him but the person who can is...
Page 18: ...Orihime.
She has put up her sheild between him and Ichigo.
I think Ulquiorra while fighting Ichigo had a smile on his face the whole time, until the shield was put up and it faded. He didn't notice it coming. Ichigo couldn't keep up with Ulquiorra. But Orihime could. And it stops Ulquiorra in his tracks. The shield starts to break and you see Orihime standing on the side. She has finally stood up for once...!
Page 19: Ulquiorra is still looking at the place where the shield broke. Orihime is holding up her hands. Ulquiorra turns his head slightly to look at her, he is stunned a bit or confused. Orihime does not have a determined look on her face like we've seen before but instead she looks conflicted like before. Nonetheless, she stood up to him, like she always has.

Chapter 342:

Page 3: The shield's shards are only shown and Ulqui says "...What are you doing?" He took a long pause before he said anything.
Page 4: Panel of them just looking at each other :P
Orihime is confused. "...Huh?" she doesn't understand.
Ulquiorra "I'm asking, why you helped him" (oh he's jealous)
Orihime "Why? I.."
Page 5: Ulquiorra interrogates her and asks why she didn't protect him when he was first attacking him. He knows she was conflicted but she doesn't. She stutters and shakes. Ulquiorra kindly offers to tell her why lmao. "You don't know? Then let me tell you. You-- are in love with me" Then Ichigo comes in and tells him to stfu. (Ulquiorra was surprised by this, he was so focused on Hime he forgot all about Ichigo, like with chapter 318 lol.)
Page 7: Ichigo is surprised that Ulquiorra talks a lot, he thought he was the silent type. (well not around Hime at least.)
Page 14: Loli and menoli have gotten hold of Orihime. Ichigo notices this and turns around shouting "Orihime!" but you can see that Ulquiorra has noticed first (as it's in his eyesight and as Ichigo was turning around Ulquiorra was already looking)
Page 15: HIS FAAAACE OMG DO I NEED TO SAY ANYTHING
Page 16: Ulquiorra stops Ichigo before he can launch Getsuga. Why he did it, we can debate until the cows come home, but Ulquiorra says he was not helping Loli.Meaning he did not agree to what they were doing at. all.
Page 17: Ulquiorra is still focused on Hime and blocks Ichigo single-handedly. (So cool~) Ulquiorra says "kill me first" even though before he said Ichigo will never defeat him.

Chapter 343:
Page 5: So Yammi has appeared and he's all "What're these bitches doing here yo?" And Ulquiorra simply says "Ask them yourself." LOOKIT THAT PANEL. You can only see his back, it's coloured darkly and the air is drawn around him. He is pissed with the twins and does not like what they were doing...
Page 7: Just before Ichigo goes to Orihime Ulquiorra appears before him again, see look, he's been so focused on seperating the two of them lol. As soon as Ichigo takes a step towards Orihime, he stops him.

Chapter 347:

Page 3: Orihime can feel the deep reaitsu of Ulquiorra's cero and wants to go to the top of the dome (she thinks Ichigo will win)
Page 10: "Humans will never be the equals of hollows"
Page 12: Ulquiorra screams and unleashes his emotions! Made of stone, eh? The rest of the chapter he release as "true despair."

Chapter 348:

Page 9: Orihime and Ishida can feel the true force of Ulquiorra's "despair" Ishida says it's like an ocean above the sky.
Page 16-17: "You should fear my power, yet you still fight like you think you can win. I don't understand you. If that's because of what you call a heart, then it is the heart that causes you humans pain. It is because of your heart, that you will die."
Not only applies to Ichigo but Orihime moreso.
Page 20: Orihime appears before Ulquiorra. "So you've come, onna." (He knew she would come then?)
Page 21: Ulquiorra has caught Ichigo and is holding him with his tail. He tells her to watch closely, the man that she has put so much faith in will lose his life. He blows a cero through him and Orihime screams.

Chapter 349:

Page 6: Ulquiorra sonido's in front of Orihime (now that kurosaki is out of the way he goes straight to her) Orihime looks at him and isn't scared of him. He tells her that going to Ichigo is useless and she can't bring him back to life (watch what you say, Ulqui)
Page 7-8: Ishida appears to attack Ulquiorra who looks back with a "More trash?" look.
Focus on the 4th panel.. how he lets Orihime just go to Ichigo anyway even though he said it was useless. He wants to save her from despair (yet he causes it anyways)
Page 13: Orihime has Ulquiorra-like tearmarks down her face. She feels despair (like he does.)
Page 16: Ishida charges towards Ulquiorra but Orihime knows he is no match. Orihime looks at Ulquiorra wondering what she should do. And at the end she screams for Ichigos help.

Chapter 351:
Page 1: Orihime's look on her face when Ulqui's arm is ripped off.

Ulquiorra says that it is a 'trivial matter' when he took he was seriously about making sure Orihime eats her meals. He also told Nnoitera not to worry, when he doesn’t even know if he’s worrying. He became real talkative and explains his plan to his fellow espada after calling Nnoitera a scum. Also, when we saw the flashbacks as he talked about the plan, we see the IchiHime scene, which means he did know who she went to last. By the way, Ulquiorra escortedOrihime to Aizen's place!! Going to see her future father-in-law
Notes, as well, Ulquiorra speaking her name, how uptight he was about Orihime and how he said the opposite later!

159 - The Slap. 04:52~08:20.

"It appears that Nnoitra got impatient, the fool." "I don't understand." "Why can't you do that?" "I will come here again in one hour."

This time Ulquiorra said 'I'm coming’ before coming in. That isn’t like his character at all. Why is he so worried about scaring her again? He also seems talkative again even when Orihime told him to stop. Also, he used the statement 'if it were me' which means he was trying to put himself in her place. That is very much out of his personality. After the infamous slap scene, he only looked at Orihime. Not glaring. Not fuming. Not getting ready to do anything. Then he turned and walked away, telling her he’d be back again in an hour. Well, why should she care? In fact, why should he even care to tell her that, after she slapped him? And pay attention to when he closes his eyes and looks away from her.

161 - Intended Fight. 19:17~20:44.
Quote:
"You don't think you need to kill me first?" "Even if I said that the person who abducted Inoue Orihime to Hueco Mundo was me?" "Despite coming to save her, it seems you still have some doubts." "Have you found a reason to fight me?"
Notes:

Why is Ulquiorra telling ichigo about Rukia’s ‘death’ and about what the Espadas can really do? A warning? Why warn Ichigo when he knows just how strong the Espada are? It seems like he’s building something up. It also seemed to look like he was teasing ichigo. Ulquiorra teases? Since when? And this time, he requested his own fight. Isn’t that Grimmjow’s job? Ulquiorra doesn’t want to be anything like Grimmjow. So what made him push himself to that level? Then, all that build up climaxed when Ulquiorra said the reason why Ichigo should fight him. His unbreakable hand comes into effect here XD! The question of this episode, why did Ulquiorra ask for a fight when he doesn’t like them? I feel like ‘jealousy’ is the answer

162 - Ulquiorra VS Ichigo. 03:18~05:16, 06:25~11:22.
Quotes:
"If you're still able to move with that body, leave this place immediately." "If you can't move, just die there." "Your path ends here, Shinigami." "Ul..."
Notes:

Here’s today’s first thoughts. Why didn’t Ulquiorra finish Ichigo? Why did he leave him with a warning? I thought that uqluiorra thought Ichigo as a waiste of time and ‘trash’. Look back at the previouse episode, where he and Yami came to earth. When yami asked if he should kill Chad and Hime and everyone else, Ulquiorra said that they were ‘trash’ and should be killed. So, what’s with Ichigo’s case then? Maybe…because he’s Orihime’s love? As much as he is obviously jealous, he seems to care about her feelings. The way he tries to get rid of Ichigo is to just tell him to go? Ulquiorra, what happened to you? Now notice, his sarcastic tones when he speaks nouns, like Orihime's 'Woman' & Ichigo's 'Shinigami'. Another notice is when Loli and Menoli were coming in, Orihime is so used to Ulquiorra coming into her room, but we’ve only seen him come in two or three times. Just how many times as Ulquiorra come for Orihime to get used to him?

164 – Discovery
Quotes:
“What is the meaning of this?” “Who did this?”
Notes:
Watch how dark and angry Ulquiorra’s aura is when he comes in to see the princess gone. Loli and Menoli could sense it easily by the way they tense up when he said only one line. Then, when he asked ‘who did this’, it seemed like he was repeating his previouse question because he realized the tense look on their faces, and eased his aura just a little. After he found out that it was Grimmjow, note the look on his face. Is it just me, or does his face actually show a little bit of emotion? Sort of like a surprised kind of look. And then after Grimmjow says he will teach Ulquiorra when to mess with someone else’s prey, we see Ulquiorra and he has a very set, determind look which isn’t like him at all. I don’t know if i’ve evere seen him so confident. End finally, at the very end, we see Ulquiorra showing up at the scene. Is it just me, or was that waaaaay too quick? Unless Grimmjow was explaining everything in the same time period as Ulquiorra discovering Grimmjow’s kidnapping, then the amount of time it took for Ulquiorra to get to the scene was like just five seconds! Trying to get there as quick as possible, emo boy? He’s probably so worried about Orihime being surrouned by two men, one she likes and the other who may have a seriouse interest in her

165 - Sort Of Rescue
Quotes:
“What are you doing, Grimmjow?” “Regardless, Aizen-sama has entrusted that women to my care” “hand her over”
Notes:
First note here: Ulquiorra asked grimmjow directly what he was doing. He wanted an answer immediately, no introductions. He was even stepping closer, almost like a threat. Then he insited again his question, asking why Grimmjow was healing Ichigo? Code for: ‘Dude, why are you healing my rival? I killed him for a reason and that’s o my soon-to-be-girl can forget about him’……or something like that . Ulquiorra didn’t really seem to give Grimmjow much of a chance to answer. When you are being stared down by the 4th espada, even if you’re the fifth, your going to feel even a little nervous answering his questions. Ulquiorra knows this but still dosnt seem to give Grimmjow a could amount of a time period to answer. Grimmjows smiling wasn’t really helping Ulqui’s mood at the moment >.>. And then finally, the stare down. Ulquiorra looked past Grimmjow to Orihime, where she just looked away, guilt written all over her face ^^ But wow! The anime extended that scene! Ulquiorra looked back again and then we see Orihime shaking. Doesn’t he seem just way to angry and weighing it down on Orihime? Either that, or orihime knows his different expression even when we think its just the same facial expression! Then we see him telling Grimmjow that he can have his own way but he was entrusted to care for Hime. Now note the way he says ‘hand her over’. What’s this? Another invitation to a fight? Maybe our little emospada feels threatened by Grimmjow’s own interest in Orihime And, hey! Grimmjow even pointed out Ulquiorra’s talkative attitude!! Our Gimm Kitty see the change in Ulquiorra as well! Now, heres the scene where Ulquiorra is trapped in that prison thingy. Orihime asks Grimmjow what he has done. Note the hesitation in her question, like she just can’t belive what had happened! Ok, one more note before leaving this episode: is it just me, or did Ulquiorra sound super pissed (in his own level) when Grimmjow refused to hand her over? Just, wow! So many changes and it was all the cause of own human girl >.<!

I think in a way Ulquiorra was a character that came in and planted himself firmly in the middle of Ichigo and Orihime with the intent of driving Ichigo away and severing Orihime's attachment to him. (Could explain why some others HATE him so)

He could have been aware of Orihime's crush on Ichigo, or he couldn't. It didn't make a difference because the moment Ichigo burst into tower five and even before that, he had been standing between the two, both literally and figuratively. (Oh, what's that about "getting away from Inoue" again?)

Right from the beginning, he was there when Yammy beat Ichigo up and Orihime got hurt in the process. It may not be him doing the dirty work, but they were the cause of the rift that was created between Orihime and Ichigo. Before then, Orihime could cheer Ichigo up and encourage him to save Rukia, but now she couldn't get him out of the slump.

Kidnap scene speaks for itself, he was there to intercept Orihime while she was on her way to help Ichigo and co.

Even at the five-lifetimes confession scene, Ulquiorra was the barrier. Why? The bracelet he had given Orihime prevented anyone from being able to sense her presence, and in that state she made her confession to Ichigo. But nothing results from it because no one other than herself (and maybe Ulquiorra as well) knew.

Even when Ichigo wasn't necessarily going towards Orihime, Ulquiorra goes and puts himself between them. Hence their first battle.

When Grimmjow took Orihime away to heal Ichigo. Ulquiorra was furious. I know he doesn't show it in his expressions, but take look at Loli, Menoly, and even Grimmjow's expressions and you'd understand just how pissed off he was. He wasn't concerned as to WHY Grimmjow had done what he had done, he was concerned that Orihime had been brought, without his knowing, to the side of the one he wanted to keep her away from. (Okay, maybe I'm reading a bit deep into this so smack me) But if you think about it, he was there, and she was safe, no one's doing anything to hurt his Aizen-sama's woman, and he really didn't give about Ichigo. Then, why is he so desperate to want her back? I have more to say on this but I'll restrain myself for now.

I won't elaborate on all the instances in the second battle of Ulquiorra getting in the way of Ichigo and Orihime. because they're just sprinkled all over the place, you'd be blind to not see them. One scene stood out though, that is him speaking to Orihime right after Orihime put up her shield for Ichigo. Yes, when she tries to connect to Ichigo through some means or another, he would stop and tear her attention away from the strawberry. Even if it means starting his infamous verbal diarrhoea-ing in the middle of battle.

Well, I just made Ulquiorra seem like a jealous third party, didn't I? XD That is, if Ichigo and Orihime had a beneficial and working relationship in the first place, and Ulquiorra relentlessly stood in the way of it, I would hate Ulquiorra for that too. But the truth is, Orihime's love for Ichigo is painful and crippling to her, and it's been proven that she herself can't do anything about it, not to mention Ichigo's total obliviousness. So I guess in a way, Ulquiorra is playing the role of Orihime's salvation. Sometimes, saving someone can be a painful process for them too. This is why I also think, even after he's gone, Ulquiorra will STILL continue to act the "piggy in the middle" to Orihime and her affections towards Ichigo. Except this time, the piggy's really trying to make you realize the person you're throwing the ball to doesn't want to play with you. But the piggy certainly does.

I think it's safe to say that Ulquiorra is the only character in Bleach to get out of his way in trying to separate Ichigo and Orihime. Of course their friends would never think to do such a thing, and other enemies only care about fighting Ichigo anyways.

I have a question for the FC. It's something that had been bothering me as well, and I want to hear what people think of it

She wasn't even wary of him, she never ran away and she was smiling during the hearts conversation. After the second battle, all it took was a look from Ulquiorra and his outstretched hand to make her walk towards him. I admit it's rather perplexing on that level, but hey. Kubo ships it more than we do

Seeing that Ulquiorra always stood between her and Ichigo, why do you think Orihime never hated Ulquiorra?

I see it as how he allowed her to have time to wander around her time and say goodbye to one person (even though that person would never be conscious about her presence), along with never actually harming her physically - I think she also had some sort of belief in him. Perhasps faith (is this possibly too OC?). I don't know - but this is Orihime, we seen how she wasn't afraid to go against Grimjow's "orders" to heal Ulquiorra, she wasn't afraid (well at least didn't show it) to the Lolis (and yet she healed both of them).

I think overall, it all has to do with Orihime being a compassionate person, who cares so much more about the world than overs. She would do smallest things that we would usually brush aside and ignore.

Because this is Orihime, somewhat...this should be no surprise.
especially how she even bitch-slapped him and then acted like as if it never happened the next time round he appeared - which he had a did the same

Oh yeah, I like the title, balladbird! I guess we don't have to have title proclaiming that Shishou ships it the hardest of anyone, since we know it's true anyways.

That's a good question.

Thinking about it logically, Orihime has every right and every reason to despise Ulquiorra for the things he's done. He 'kidnapped' her (though of course we all like to refer to is as 'chauffeuring' :P), he's mocked her faith in her friends, he's severely wounded Ichigo (yeah, what's up with that? Ulqui's already pwned her love interest once... and she doesn't even seem to remember it once everything else happens), he's threatened her friends, he's threatened her (in his own, twisted way), he beat up Ichigo (again. And turned him into a strawberry doughnut while doing so), and so on, and so forth. As you put it; Ulquiorra is the barrier between her and Ichigo.

So why doesn't she hate him, after all these awful things he's done, and for all these negative things he represents to her?

That's why it's such a good question, because I'm pretty much perplexed by it now, too.

But I guess it's one of the things that makes our ship beautiful and strong. Orihime... against all odds, and definitely against all reason, doesn't hate Ulquiorra. She doesn't. It's obvious the way she talks to him and acts around him that:

a) She is not afraid of him in any way, and no matter what he does to her of her friends that won't change.

and

b) She doesn't hate him. In fact, I doubt any particularly 'negative' emotions are directed towards him from her. It's still ambiguous, what she really thought of Ulquiorra, but whatever it was, no one can say it was anything akin to hatred.

And maybe it sounds cheesy, but our pairing pretty much transcends most of the trivial barriers that most people seem to think stand in our way. Everything divides them, and yet they managed to form a connection.

Simple. As. That.

Who's who and what's what don't really matter for Ulquiorra and Orihime's dynamic, which makes it one of the most beautiful and amazing ones around.

This is one of the reasons I believe Ulquiorra will return... this is an unanswered question. When we return to Orihime I think we'll have her reflecting on this... why his 'death' bothers her so much, why she was never truly afraid of Ulquiorra (afraid for her friends yes, for herself no).

I think though, it will come down to her understanding Ulquiorra instinctually better than she ever understood Ichigo. She was never afraid of his fundamental form as she was of Ichigo's hollow.
