Holy wow. I thought I was the only one who disliked that fight, even though I liked the GJ flashback. I blamed a lot of my dislike of the whole thing on my bias against IchiOri too---wow, goes to show IchiOri time together was a total failure with readers in Japan too. Those numbers are amazing. I'd heard that the tankubon didn't sell well, but I didn't know it sold THAT badly compared to the others.

And inside the cd was included Ichigo's only version and Rukia's only version... they've found their own partner, ne?

We can see that not everyone can turn a blind eye to how epic fail! Ichigo is during the Grimm fight.

The number of manga sold really speaks for itself.

Most responses say they see IchiRuki-ness in it. And for it to earn this much (and continues earning) speaks the volume how fans feel natural to this pairing. So be happy that FTB earn this much because I really doubt it would have been the same for any other pairings.

Yeap, I'm glad too that IchiRuki is accepted by the majority even non shippers alike. At least to them, IchiRuki is not a pairing which happens out of the blue and it's easily digestible/acceptable. Even if after the movie, they're still not a fan of IchiRuki, but I'm sure the amount of attention put into IchiRuki has made them come to a realization that only IchiRuki has so much substance and potential in them, and they indeed has a special bond which other pairings lack.

But, I love that FTB has generated so much success. It shows how truly popular the IchiRuki bond is. I mean, this movie isn't a typical shounen movie. And yet, people still love it! They even say it's the best movie out of the three. That makes me very happy Ah, Kubo must be feeling so smug right now He created this wonderful relationship and judging from FTB's success, people really do love these two Hehe, I do love how he slipped in the little bit of Ichiruki in 340

aww that sucks >,< Japan won't accept that pairing very much? Oh well I'm not fond of OriIchi at all either, matter of fact I didn't even watch those eps It was a bore even if it had Grimmjow....and that's hard to do Not that I only watch the show for couples but, Those episodes were to uh how to say "Shoving Ichigo protecting Orhime-In your face "-y.

I think the Bond they have was already popular to begin with, the movie just gave it a little air time for billboards, and advertisement oh and A Novel ^^

Ichuki Kuchigo Very true. Ichiruki has always been popular. FTB obviously gravitates towards the Ichiruki fans, so, of course, it would get many viewers, since so many love the pairing. But, it's also nice to see those that don't even ship like the movie, which shows that Ichiruki is simply the natural pairing of Bleach and that it makes sense and that those that don't even really pay attention to the romance notice it and are fine with it

Oh My….Been busy for the holidays so I haven’t been able to come visit my home away from home until today…I don’t have that much time so I skipped through some pages, but I really loved all the fanart, really great job to all those that participant. I see that FTB is doing really good in Japan, which is great to hear. I really love to see that even non-shipper can not denial the Ichigo and Rukia love!!

Time to answer a VERY good question…

Since it's Ruki's Bday month , of all the quotes, phrases, words, what do you think best describes her to ichigo and why... ?

I might be weird when I say this, but I think the first real time (I say this because I had thought that something was going on but I had little poof that they had something that SPECIAL) I saw that Rukia had a VERY special place in Ichigo’s heart and the same for Rukia was when Ichigo was in Soul Society and Hanatarou was helping them. Hanatarou was telling Ichigo what Rukia said about him and how she has “unbelievably high faith” in Ichigo. And how Rukia was saying that because of her, Ichigo life has changed forever, but Ichigo said that “Those are my lines. I won’t let you die no matter what, Rukia”

To me it has a very deep meaning. A meaning that without one there wouldn’t be the other.

TBH, I don't think other fandom really is a factor because compare to IchiRuki we know it's really small especially in Japan. But yeah, imagine Rukia-haters, IchiRuki hater will probably ignore this movie. I think I'm amaze at how well FTB doing is simply because it mostly focuses on IchiRuki bond yet it manages to stay at same par as DDR which was an all-out shounen movie. I truly am happy. It shows how big IchiRuki fanbase is in Japan and the positive responses FTB received it show fans don't have anything against IchiRuki and are pretty cool with it.

Why am I so happy when some people might simply diss it out that 'fans would watch the movie if it has fights in it'. Er....MON was a big failure, was it not? Even in manga itself fights don't make it successful. If people hate a character or hate the story, they will simply not going to bother with it.

Let me show you some random info regarding 2008's Top Selling Manga. I will just post of Bleach tankoubon ranks and their sell then. Here is the link in case you want a confirmation that I didn't made it up.

12. Bleach #34 (ch 296- 305: Captains show up) sold 874,153 copies

17. Bleach #33 (ch 287- 295: NnoiNel flashback and fight) sold 802,692 copies

18. Bleach #35 (ch 307-315: Ken vs Nnoi and Aizen entered the real world) sold 761,802 copies

35. Bleach #32 (ch 279-286 Ichigo vs GJ )only sold 519,631 copies

And right now Vol 36 (turn back the pendulum) has sold at least 751,547 (and this is the record from its second week released).

See anything here? (if you get my message do remember I won't allow OT talks, ok?) I meant to show that if people dislike the characters or fights they will not going to waste their money on it. Ichigo vs GJ 3rd fight which was oh-so-epic for many makes the lowest sell ever on Bleach Tankoubon. I meant to show this could have applied for IchiRuki-ness in FTB as well. If people truly dislike IchiRuki, they wouldn't waste their time and money watching the film (especially when it heavily promoted as a shippy movie). Most responses say they see IchiRuki-ness in it. I'm so happy that FTB is doing so well. It makes me happy that so many people appreciate the IchiRuki relationship. I don't know why people question our ship when it's the most logical. They have the most couple-potential in all of Bleach. To me, their relationship is the most logical--the awsomeoness is just a bonus. <3
