I think they're mentioning the execution rescue (エクセキアス is close to execution) when they're talking about Rukia, like maybe a flashback to that?

Ichigo's very excel, but there are hindrances in front of him.....although Rukia-taichi turn up and tell Ichigo to go on, and leave these people behind for them(Rukia-taichi) to handle. This is the reason they've come....to save Orihime.....ie they (Rukia-taichi) want Ichigo to save Orihime.

Orihime tells to Ulquiorra that there is one person in her heart while Ichigo still struggles to reach there.....basically she(Orihime) is thinking of Ichigo.
