This certainly is one of the more awesome chapters that we've had in a long time. I've always thought that KT neglected the Vaizard's character development so it's good to see them finally getting some background history.

Shinji as Aizen's captain?

Best revelation in a long time. Rivals Isshin being revealed as a Shinigami.

I'm so curious as to what kind of relationship they had and whether Aizen respected Shinji or was more deviant. And I simply can't wait till they reunite in the manga. That will definitely be epic.

Explains how Shinji and crew know some stuff. I'm sure he always knew the real Aizen. But I thought that the guy in the fillers was the former 3rd squad captain, if he was before Rose, he must be hella old. Or maybe Gin was so awesome that he replaced him after the new guy took over for Rose

Quite interesting, havn't thought about the posibillity of having more than just one Vaizard as Captain (Shinji was on my radar, just cause of his really high skills!), but damn 3 formally Captains and one vicecaptain, that's a surprise for sure!
Really, really lookin forward to the next chapters, imo the fb will be quite the long one, really excited about that!

i hope the other vizards are vice captains or high seated officers too. hachi used level 75 kidou, that's impressive based on what we've seen. heused an incantation s should be like vice captain level i'm guessing, since isane needed an icantaion for a level 77 kidou. tousen skipped the incantation for 77 cos he's a captain i guess.

kensei seemed very cool. please let him be a vice captain, along with lisa and mashiro too i guess...

I saw this earlier, but couldn't post anything because I really was speechless. But after this long period of cooling-off, I thought of something: if Aizen trully was Shinji's fuku, and there are only 8 Vizards, possibly all captains (or Urahara's fuku in Hyori's case) and counting Yama in, as he's the oldest one, there are still 5 captains missing (there should be one for 0 division too). Who could be these at least 5 captains, older than Aizen, but younger than Yamma, that were active since then? I count Ishin and Yoruchi as two of them.
