No Hueco Mundo Arc for 2 months!

Yeah, he only had the usual SJ weeks off in 3 years.
And he did had two major drop off in the middle of very interesting moments. I guess he'll leave in a cliffangher and hide from the fans who wants his head XD

Also, I think that he's something like 3 or 4 chapters ahead from what is told now x___x because if something is needed, he has to go back to his work, redo it etc. x___x
While there are at least 2 (if not 3) anime teams working at the same time on Bleach. So it's not really the same, even though their work is really hard XD

I'm torn with this.

On the one hand I want Kubo to tackle his current plot instead of putting it off for so long.

But then again, these could be important.

^^Hmm.. well, technically, you can't call these "fillers," since everything Kubo-sensei writes/illustrates is considered canon. A filler is some meaningless fluff that adds nothing to the weight of the story and is supposed to be forgotten eventually. It's a time-waster for the anime, but there is no reason to have fillers in manga. Kubo-sensei never writes anything that is meant to be forgotten.

These backstories are not filler and I wouldn't say that to him for fear of seriously insulting the man, because character development is just as important as the plot itself. He may have a very particular reason for wanting to do this, so let's just trust that he knows what he's doing...

I think its better if there separate from the main storyline because when the characters have Flashbacks its only certain parts of there life not the other stuff you want to know.

You forget though, that there are multiple meanings for the term filler. Hate to say it, but these chapters would be filler. Sure they are canon filler, but filler nonetheless. We had plenty of instances in the anime, in which a filler episodes, of canon material, would pop up right in the middle of an arc. Same difference here.

Fillers, no fillers...

Why are we all assuming KT's "filler months" will
#1, not be at all relevant to the current arch
#2, be somehow less important or of less weight to the overall story

There have been a lot of questions hanging over the plot for a long time. Assuming KT's not a total jerk, we'll most certainly learn things that answers old questions and will surprise and shock us with respect to the current plot.
