But I must give credit where credit is due and thank you for the idea of the GrimmNel challenge. Also, you are not fail. I have read your writings before, remember? Also, I will posting entries here or over at our LJ comm so if you're watching that, you'll have no trouble keeping up to date with all the entries. Having said that, I think its time for a nice shiny official entry challenge posting.

I'm hoping that he switches back to HM, I mean, Kubo would kinda have to account for the group that is still there, right? So maybe he'll see fit to mention them, which would really make my day. I don't think that Kubo would include them in the new arc, though were he to delightfully surprise me, I would have no qualms seeing them in the final arc. I really just want to see him resolve all Grimmjow and Nel's stories.

This just occured to me (it occured to me earlier too, but I forgot about it again) but we still yet to see Pesche's and Dondochakka's resurrectión. Or even more important (for me, anyway), their unmasked faces. I mean, I know they are not important characters and that they are pretty weak compared to the new characters, but their story still feels unfinished without us having seen at least their faces.

See, another reason to go back to that part of Las Noches. They still need to get back to Neliel; it cut out with them trying to get away from Szayel and go to her when all the captains showed up. Kubo hasn't picked that thread back up yet.

We need to see what happened with their masks and find out why they look far more like standard Hollows than any other Arrancars we've seen. I don't think those are their real masks; we don't know if removing the mask from an Arrancar really does anything or not. Any explanation won't happen until they get back to their mistress, and maybe we'll get a peek at what's going on with Grimmjow at that point since he's right in that same area.

Hey guys- two quick notes related to GrimmNel

1. I just read a new awesome fan fics by Beautiful Nightmare07

It is the sequel to Urges and it is totally GrimmNelicious (new word I created). I urge (hehe) you all to read it and plead for the writer to continue the series, and not just because there is a lot of sexy loving, but also some really great plot lines. See Codegal I can think of something other than perverted things.

2. I noticed that although there are a couple of GrimmNel fan fic communities on the fan fic site, that they have not been updated for months and so there is not a community that has all the GrimmNel stories for people to read. I was wondering if we should create a new one or just let it slide.

Actually, this is a really good point, since I've been kinda eager to see what lies beyond their masks. I mean, since their hollow masks were pulled off, wouldn't they look like humans? I'm really interested in seeing Pesche specifically.

Thanks for the link, Fostersb! (I'm gonna have so many recs for this months rec list! ) The author is on my f-list on LJ so I knew she had a sequel, I just hadn't found the link yet, so thanks for that. Also, you may be able to think of something other than perverted things, but the majority of the time...

Yeah, I was invited to be staff in one of them (forgot which one though, I gotta check it) so I guess I could add the new fanfics to the list. I just didn't think it would be that important since people can label their fics properly, now that Nel's name is on the character list.

As for making a whole new comm for the challenge... Not sure if one challenge would be big enough to fill up a whole comm. However, if there was a comm created to host fanfics for ALL GrimmNel challenges/contests/festivals, I'd definitely approve it. You could already add the festival entries to the archieve, after all.

☆ THE GRIMMNEL CHALLENGE 2010 ☆

The GrimmNel challenge is a year long event in which participants take on the challenge of completing 15 fanworks that revolve around this couple.

☆ Who? ☆

Anyone can take part, as long as the main focus of the fanwork is GrimmNel.

☆ What? ☆

The challenge revolves around four different categories:

♥ Fanfiction: 15k words to be written.
♥ Fan art: 15 fanarts to be drawn.
♥ Fan videos: 15 AMVs/MMVs to be created.
♥ Graphics: 15 icons and/or banners to be made.

☆ When? ☆

The deadline is 11:59pm on Friday the 31st of December. I will make allowances for different timezones, so wherever it is that you are, as long as you submit before that time, it all counts towards the challenge.

☆ Where? ☆

All submissions can either be made here or over at the GrimmNel Livejournal Community, where they will be added to the Master List and displayed as often as possible.

☆ Why? ☆

The challenge is to promote more fanworks of this couple, and if that's not enough incentive, than how about a brand spanking new banner by Eloni once you complete a category of the challenge? (If you haven't seen her works, simply go here to her graphics comm and have a look at her work.)

☆ How? ☆
