    Default Buying Doujinshi

    Sure, Lucia! ^_^

Well, right off the bat. I highly recommend any works by Ichijyou. Other doujinshi collectors can also tell you that they are one of the best IchiRuki circles out there. Their art is stunning. These two books in particular I enjoyed very much:

    Nakenai Kodomo
There is an implied sex scene in the first half.

    Babies Kiss
This is one of my favorites. Like the title says, there's a kiss, so...

Other books by them that are available on Happy Otaku:

    Kuuhaku no Aozora
    Summer Vacation
    Rukia

^ The last one is very new. It was released this August, and I haven't bought a copy yet, so I can't tell you if it's good or not. xD But, being Ichijyou, I would say it's worth considering.

Aside from Ichijyou, I also recommend anything by Rin Rin House, Orange Honey, and, of course, Love Drop. Rin Rin House tends to include all characters in their stories, although they focus on Ichigo and Rukia the most. There is a lot of humor and their doujinshi are the type that you can understand without knowing Japanese. Orange Honey and Love Drop are more serious.

You can find some of their covers that I scanned in my posts HERE and HERE. Everything in the second post is very high quality so if you ever see any of them up for sale, GRAB THEM.

    Things to avoid:

If you DO NOT like hentai, AVOID works by Utsumuki Garden. Here are some of their works:

    Junketsu Choucho
    Osozaki Shisero
Shirayuki ni Kimi ga Sode furu

Don't let the pretty covers fool you. >.< All of their doujinshi thus far contain very explicit scenes. Although I've heard the last one is a nice AU. But if you're into that kind of stuff, then go for it...

    BUYING FROM RINKYA

So if anyone is wondering, my main source of doujinshi is from RINKYA, which is a service that allows you to bid on Japanese auctions and will ship internationally since most Japanese sellers don't do that. Just search for "Bleach doujinshi" and several links should show up. I suggest you search through BOTH "BLEACH Books" links, since they sometimes contain different items.

Some things to keep note of:

    - DO NOT buy anything over 1000 yen. If you do, you will be charged an extra $20 in commission, and for one single doujinshi this is not worth it. Don't worry, chances are it will appear again in a few days if it's not something very rare.

    - If you live in the U.S., you're going to have to wake up very early to win your auctions. I live on the west coast. During my doujinshi craze, I would wake up at 5-6 AM and sometimes even 4 AM because that's when the auctions usually end. But sleep is for the weak!

    - You will be charged an extra $4 for shipping & handling for every item that you win, unless you buy multiple things from the same seller on the same day. Use this to your advantage. If you see a really nice doujinshi that you like, browse that seller's inventory to see if there is anything else you are interested in so you can ship them together.

    - Don't forget about the final shipping charges from Rinkya to you. It can really add up. Usually I let my doujinshi pile up before shipping them at the same time. A box of 18 doujinshi cost me over $70. :x

Hmm... that's all for now. If anyone has questions about Rinkya, you can ask me or even Ileenka since she's the one who introduced it to me. Spread the IchiRuki love!
