I got my copy of "Letters from the Other Side - New Edition -" today, yay. Here are some larger scans of the new posters (the first is of Ichigo, Chad, Keigo, Mizuiro, and the two random guys who were harassing Ichigo on the roof, IIRC; the second is of Rukia, Inoue, Tatsuki, and Chizuru) and the Ichigo/Rukia sketch from the new short story. (If it weren't so darn adorable, I'd be annoyed that Kubo made it sketchy instead of a "finished" picture. )

Please do not upload to other sites/Minitokyo/Animepaper/whatever.

I didn't get to see the one for the boys before, so it was indeed a pleasant surprise. Haha, everyone looks like they are having so much fun And yes, the entire feel of the two covers have such a nostalgic feeling for me. While I do enjoy the shinigami aspect of the series, it has alway been Karakura Arc that really drew me into Bleach. Just watching how Rukia adjusted to such a crazy world full of very colorful characters was a lot of fun to watch. I do miss the old gang very much, and I think its sweet to see them as they once were. Who knows if we will ever get a chance to see them like this. What do you guys think?

The little sketch is just too adorable for words. You did a wonderful coloring of it as well, Mikaoru . Ah, I actually miss these types of moments very much since it reminds me of the many crazy antics that went on while Rukia used to hide in Ichigo's room (as well as the many doujins that came from it too huhu). Rukia just looks ssooo cute, and Ichigo XD Sometimes I just can't find the right words to express just how much scenes like these make me love the pairing all over again. They are just too cute XD

OooooOOo, this one is one of my favorites. See, this is how one promotes a plot where it is indeed all about the guy and the girl XD *gets shot* I do adore the fact that Ichigo and Rukia have always gotten such things from Kubo that have always shown just how important they are to one another. Be it the souls and vibes cover, this cover, or the SS arc Intruders cover to name a few. It really goes to show that the series has always been about them and how their meeting really did change everything for them. I'm glad that Kubo still continues this trend with always promoting Ichigo and Rukia, if anyone, in these types of spreads (still giggling like a mad fangirl over the calendar cover). It goes to show just how important they still are no matter what is going on in the story.

It is as if Kubo wouldn't allow us to forget what Bleach is about. I mean, Ichigo and Rukia spent most of the manga time without each other, yet we readers keep recieving goodies xD. The best part is that sometimes, if not all the time, all the goodies are dangerously not-so-subtle I pretty think Kubo misses them as much as we do

Mikaoru, I already repped you but I can't resist anymore..seeing the Rukia-sleepily-drinking-grapejuice-around-a-sulky-Ichigo in color just about made me wave my arms around in excitement like a windmill. Thanks to Athena for the high quality scans

Ahh thanks for reminding us of this, Syn...Of course, its impossible to forget, really. The impact of this spread and destiny bit between Ichigo Rukia first made itself known to me through Syn's tropes essay...I remember seeing this and then reading the essay and going Especially being so unfamiliar to manga in general and then finding out all of it at once was just flooring. and like Navirae said, the way of putting two of Kubo's characters together still remains the same. In fact. after seeing this was the point, I was more confident than ever that an ending without IchigoxRukia would be absolutely incomplete.

A series with the destiny theme implied between two characters and only two characters is the story of those very characters...I guess the phrase "Bleach is the story of Ichigo and Rukia" is nothing but accurate and after seeing this particular cover..it doesn't leave a doubt in mind

I still have hope of somewhat returning to those days because Kubo made it pretty obvious that Tatskui, Mizuiro, and Keigo were/would be developing their own powers.

I think it'll be really interesting to see them react to Rukia after knowing more about her and what she's REALLY like. I so wanna see that!

But alas...who the heck knows when Kubo will get around to it. Or maybe the KK residents save the town itself?

I've been literally twitching trying not to buy the new manga calendar. I mean, Ichigo and Rukia's positions are just TOO DAMN COHESIVE to be a coincidence. Kubo is soooo mean to spoil us...but I hope he doesn't stop

Oh also, I've been biting my tongue, but I gotta say with the nakama's shoes, I just can't see the yellow being Ishida. He loves fashion, sure. But those shoes just look way too girly to me. I keep thinking green=Ishida and yellow=Inoue. But it's really no big deal at all. *iz dork*

Particularly nowadays, its amazing to see just how bold Kubo has become when he does any work for these two. I mean, he helped with the creation of a movie that was centered around the changing feelings of these two as well as approve a rather sweet novel that really does highlight how much Rukia is a part of Ichigo's world and really, the small gestures that Ichigo displays towards Rukia that screams affection in his own way.

I remember that particular topic of destiny and really, its quite interesting to see how big that theme plays in different mangas. Syn did show a couple of other shoujo mangas where the theme of destiny came into play for two people, I found it amusing on how very alike the feel of what we have for Ichigo and Rukia
