That calendar spread is Too. Darn. Cute. If I forfeit grocery shopping, maybe I can rationalize buying it...

I love how quickly our FC gets inspired and makes those cute little banners, sigs, and avatars! So much talent! Hugs for all!

We're really lucky to have not only talented and creative members, but smart ones and connected ones.

The Rukia cultural exchange is so freaking fantastic, I think Kubo would be proud to be able to reach his fans in this way. This must be why he spoils us with IchiRuki goodies!

Regarding the chapter,

Ichigo is so adorable. I miss this Ichigo. I'm not going to analyze everything because not only am I not sure exactly what happened with his 'healing' and how much he's aware of, but I just wanna enjoy his cute little faces

and his-"Hai Captain Mom!" attitude. He's such a mama's boy..LOL!

A loooong time ago, I asked people what their favorite scenes were from Fade to Black. I maintained the list, but since people seem to be done answering, I thought I'd remember to post it here before I lose it in the bowels of my computer for posterity's sake.

Kubo, if you love this ship so much that you put them in a calender spread together ALONE sleeping with each other then just keep on doing what you're doing.

Thank you Annie for posting the pic's for it ! I made a set for you guys outta it. Feel free to use, just PLEASE CREDIT ! I hate to see people going around and not crediting something that ANYONE worked really hard on because it's not fair to the people who devote their time making it.

*goes to watch and hear it again* <3, Oh gosh, I just remembered we also had FtB DVD released this year

so many goodies. I remember people answering what was the best in 2008 for our fandom last year and this year we also have so much to fangirl about.

@chapter - Unohana scared me out again

dorky!Ichigo melts my heart and that assured me he wasn't lying and really believes Inoue healed him (though I still believe he wasn't talking about that particular time, but in general given the flashbacks of Nnoi's owneage).

Is this the first time he drew a new "spread" for a Bleach Calendar?

B/c if it is I wouldn't be surprise.

The chapter was interesting, but it makes me think that Ichigo got NO IDEA what so ever what happen up on the dome. He seemed lost and made an assumption that it was Inoue that healed him since he looked positively the same. (Wounds wise.)

Your art looks great, ComeComeParadis! (Both the lineart and coloring.) That was something like what I wanted to draw - in fact, I recalled the same exact lady-in-front-of-the-moon picture that I see repeatedly when I was thinking what I wanted to do for Rukia.

(Also, I feel your pain about college apps. And also very jealous, because I am nowhere near 90% done with them. Sorry, off-topic.)

The CALENDAR! OMG, if I could somehow justify spending $20-$30 plus shipping to buy that calendar, I would do it in a heartbeat. Sadly, I can't. But thank you Annie for sharing it with us anyway! the HQ pic is just stunning.

Ah, ComeComeParadis's reaction was my reaction to the calendar cover when I saw it. I didn't even notice the feet around them, even though those feet are the most colorful bits of the drawing and usually the most colorful parts are the most attractive. That's because - helloooooo IchiRuki! Ichigo's eyes and that look he's giving us is so smoldering and sexy and Rukia looks really beautiful with those amazingly look eyelashes. I love how even though Ichigo is technically facing you, his body language is open to Rukia, and Rukia's facing him too. And the all white colors! Usually, it would make them blend into the background but I think in this case it makes them stand out. Kubo's doing this on purpose, tugging on our heart strings >:]

And yes, the scarf MUST be connected. Well, in my mind, it is,

Sharing one scarf reminds me of the red thread/ribbon that connects them <3

Aizen, literally, only used a finger to beat him. Maybe this second time around, Ichigo will be a bit better (that's usually the case with him), but I HIGHLY doubt he'll even scratch Aizen. And then this week Unohana's saying that just because Ichigo's reiatsu is captain-class even though it's only half full makes Ichigo Seireitei's trump card? Isn't that going a little far, to claim Ichigo as a trump card? I hardly think that Aizen has forgotten that a little certain somebody named Kurosaki Ichigo exists, especially after he expressed interest in Ichigo at the end of SS arc, the very same Aizen that practically predicts everything and incorporates the most minor details in his grand master plan.

Unohana should realize that simply having an extremely high reiatsu does not mean that he's a capable enough shinigami to fight Aizen. We know that Aizen too has terrifying levels of reiatsu and he hasn't even revealed any other abilities of his shikai (if there are any; I'm thinking like how Rukia's shikai has three dances. It might not be the same, though) or even his bankai! Unohana is overlooking the major fact that Ichigo has just come from fighting battle after battle against Espada - I mean, since Grimmjow ordered Orihime to heal Ichigo, he hasn't had a rest. From Grimmjow to Nnoitra to Ulquiorra and to Yammy (whom he barely scratched!), if I remember correctly (however, I might be wrong; I am known to have a terrible memory). And he's expected to do something about AIZEN?! That's kinda laughable.

I can't find again who said this but somebody said that Ichigo probably won't fight against Aizen immediately; he'll fight against at least one of the subordinates first. I think that's a very plausible situation - more sensible than heading straight for Aizen. Besides, if anybody makes a move against Aizen, Tousen always jumps in (like a personal bodyguard...

). So maybe Tousen vs Ichigo?

Huh, I somehow missed this. May I just say what my favorite scene was? I know the hype is all over but, I'd just like to add my two cents. I loved the hill scene the best. The scene and the background made it seem like an idyllic situation (I can't get the image of two lovers meeting on a grassy hill... so beautiful!) and when Ichigo found out that Rukia couldn't remember him, his expression broke my heart. I also like the part in the final battle where Ichigo fights Dark Rukia and reanimation of the first episode but I think the first reunion on the hill captured IchiRuki in its essence even better.

no, it's not even the first time he's done a new IchiRuki art for the manga calendar. Last year he drew a new spread featuring the nakama (and Hitsugaya) in Olympic gear, but the year before that he drew Ichigo and Rukia's zanpakutou side by side.

I agree--their scarf MUST be connected. After all, it's so like Kubo to use symbolism. I mean, if the scarf was red, it'd be even more perfect, but still--it just goes to show that Ichigo and Rukia are connected spiritually, with a scarf, and hopefully in the near future, they'll be physically connected as well.

The chapter was interesting, but it makes me think that Ichigo got NO IDEA what so ever what happen up on the dome. He seemed lost and made an assumption that it was Inoue that healed him since he looked positively the same. (Wounds wise.)

Ichigo was pretty out of it ever since he unleashed IchiThing! He wasn't conscious when he went ape-feces up on the dome. And the minute he snapped out of it, he realizes (somewhat disbelievingly) that he skewered one of his closest friends. He lost control, but it seems as if he doesn't recall any of it.

This might explain the "lost" behavior that he is demonstrating. He wasn't conscious when he went crazy, at least I don't think so. So he's having a hard time wrapping his mind around what he did exactly. He realizes that he lost control and that he hurt Ishida. He realizes that something went wrong--and that something is still not quite right (the mask will no longer manifest itself upon Ichigo's command). But rather than allowing himself to be fully hit by the full impact of realization, he is trying to brush it off. Ichigo refuses to fully acknowledge what happened because at the moment, it's the last thing he needs. He is tired of this whole thing, and he cannot/will not handle what he just did--he's probably afraid that it might break him, if it hasn't already.

You know, I've been thinking: maybe the old Ichigo may have had a chance at defeating Aizen. I mean, you would think that Ichigo would continue to get stronger, especially after all this time, and after all the fights that he has been through.

when Ichigo went through SS, he definitely came out of that arc a lot stronger than he was going into it--Ichigo is a fast learner, and gets stronger with experience. So maybe that's why Unohana seems to have so much "faith" (for lack of a better word) in him...? I'm sure that not everyone knows about what went down up at the dome. And not everyone knows Ichigo well enough to be able to tell with a single glance that the Ichigo we see in the recent chapters is NOT the same Ichigo that we all know and love. So...maybe that's why? I'm not quite sure where I'm going with this, though...

I totally agree that the new calendar spread is love, magic and puppy dogs sprinkled onto each and every one of us for our steadfast devotion to ichiruki, through and through!

when I first saw it, I couldn't help but be mesmerized by ichigo's gaze into the depths of my soul.. then I was comforted by rukia's angelic sleeping face. it almost seems as if ichigo is our death angel's single-headed cerberus

everyone's wonderful spread-based renditions have been spectacular!

keep up the great work!

on another note, I was really hoping to see more ichiruki moments in this week's chapter but there was barely a mentioning of rukia

. the way things seem to be progressing in the manga, I'm not sure if we'll see it for a while

. like others have said, it's refreshing to see dork!ichigo again but I much prefer ze eye smex

. it'll be difficult for anyone from soul society to help ichigo in his fight with aizen, considering they've all seen aizen's shikai, though I hope hope hope we get to see a third dance or bad ass rukia at ichigo's side, pwning aizen & co.

by the way, what is rukia doing exactly in the manga? is she still chillin on that building...? c'mon missy, go take some names, kick some ass!!
