Ehhhhhhhhhh They are so cute They wear matching coats, matching scarfs. Rukia's eyelashes are so long. She looks peaceful, gorgeous and Ichi looks so hot. He's really staring at us not to disturb Rukia Ah, I'm so buying this calendar <3333

Now I'm convinced the yellow shoe belongs to Ishida and Orihime's the green boot Renji's shoe is so......

Thank you for scanning this Annie! I love this picture. Rukia looks so serene and at peace. Ichigo does look like he's ready to shield Rukia from any disturbance. It's lovely. I'm tempted to write a short fanfic about this. Like everyone else, it took me a while to notice the feet. I didn't understand why Kubo would do this. It looked a little out of place to me. Then it hit me.

Kubo - OK, here' s my cover for the new 2010 calendar. Whaddaya think?

Editor - You're doing it again.

Kubo - Doing what?

Editor - You're making IchiRuki too obvious again! There's no ambiguity here!

Kubo - What are you talking about, it's plenty ambiguous.

Editor - You have just the two of them, side by side in matching outfits, sharing a scarf!

Kubo - Ah, but look! The scarf goes off the page here. So are they sharing a scarf, or is it two different scarves? There's no way of telling! Pretty coy, I think.

Editor - Oh come on! Nobody's going to buy that. We need something less shippy! You'll have to use something else for the cover.

Kubo - Hold on, lets not do anything hasty. (Looks at drawing) I can fix this.

Editor - You can? How?

Kubo - I'll put the Nakama in too.

Editor - Where? You've used up almost all the space on the page! How are you going to fit them in?

Kuob - (Sketching) Just wait. I've almost got it. (More sketching) There! TA-DA! (Shows Ichiruki drawing; NOW WITH FEET!)

Editor -

You know, I've been thinking: maybe the old Ichigo may have had a chance at defeating Aizen. I mean, you would think that Ichigo would continue to get stronger, especially after all this time, and after all the fights that he has been through.

when Ichigo went through SS, he definitely came out of that arc a lot stronger than he was going into it--Ichigo is a fast learner, and gets stronger with experience. So maybe that's why Unohana seems to have so much "faith" (for lack of a better word) in him...? I'm sure that not everyone knows about what went down up at the dome. And not everyone knows Ichigo well enough to be able to tell with a single glance that the Ichigo we see in the recent chapters is NOT the same Ichigo that we all know and love. So...maybe that's why? I'm not quite sure where I'm going with this, though...

I think I know where you are going with this ComeComeParadis. The Ichigo we saw in Soul Society seemed so much stronger than the upgraded visored Ichigo we see now. Why is that? I believe it is because of what's going on inside. His strength is directly tied to the purity of his intentions. When he took on Soul Society, his goal was clear and his heart was pure. No matter what he said about paying off debts, his intention was always to not only save Rukia's life but to make her world safe and happy. He didn't care for power except as a means to reach that goal. Now we see an Ichigo who is not being honest with himself. He says he came to save Orihime, but he seems to forget that a lot over the course of the arc. He admits that he wants power, but what are his motives? He says he wants the power to save his friends, but acts as though he wants power to destroy his enemies. It is this conflict that I believe is limiting his power. Mask or not, he isn't half the man the old Ichigo was. I suspect Rukia will play a key role in helping him come to terms with his true desires and help him to honestly examine his motives. This will allow him to achieve true synthesis with his hollow form and gain power the right way.

I was just squeeing with you over this and seeing your post with the IchiRuki goodies listed out so succinctly, its just wow. Magnificent. Abso-fucking-lutely magnificent with a capital M.

I cant believe that anyone residing on this planet and subscribing to earth logic would even deign to bleat about how "wwww so platoooonic yawn" these two are. How can you look at the goodies relentlessly bestowed upon us by Kubo, and utter with a straight face and a clear conscience that a) He doesn't love or ship them and b) They're thrashing about in a sea of platonicness in platonicland on a boat made of platonicwood?

And this new ethereal spread is just the fantabulous icing on an already scrumptious IchiRuki cake. Ichigo and Rukia in fresh and clean white, situated in their own little world, presumably flanked by the feet of their nakama ensconced in colored footwear, which only deigns to highlight our pair even more.

Finally, I love that we only see the nakama's feet, because this spread is strictly about Ichigo and Rukia. So incredibly beautiful.

Thank you so much for loving them as much as you do, Kubo sensei. Just, thank you.

*splutters* Damn I knew we were lucky but I didn't realize the extent of the love for our "sibling" ship

And you're right FTB was certainly one of the greatest things to happen to IchiRuki, a movie, a damn movie in which the mangaka himself was involved. So much squeeing over that one and even before getting over that we find out what are in the cited cards which nearly flays us alive with its proof of how much Kubo loves us and how much Ichigo feels for Rukia

Then there's fangirl-worthy chapter "eyes of a victor" sparking the newest frenzy between us IRs for the manga...shouldn't we put that too?? As the first time we see IchiRuki appear side-by-side in..what two years(??) It was legendary.

Of course the in-your-face shojo-sih slice-of-life "letter from the other side" that was approved by Kubo made the fangirl girls flutter with cuteness. An account of small, sweet IchiRuki caring-for-each-other event. The awkward Ichigo, the blush-ey Rukia

Kubo's Ichigo-Rukia drawing on live television was epic-ly bold There he was, meant to draw only Ichigo and when he's done what do we see?? A beautiful Rukia with the warrior expression we love, just beside him. There's our reason for proclaiming Kubo thinks Ichigo is incomplete without Rukia
Shower us with MORE goodies Kubo-chama!!

And shower us he did A zanpaktou calendar spread, which shows Rukia has no body just because Kubo decided to put her body right on Ichigo's or something. As long as they're beside each other A Halloween spread worth a LOT of lives because of its utter sexiness from the individuals themselves, and now the stunningly, gorgeous Kubo art of Ichigo and Rukia lying beside each other while she sleeps peacefully and he watches protectively

WOW...subtlety certainly rocks!

Kubo makes it so blatant. How he do it for more or less than a year is quite fabulous. Like what Annie had posted, the spreads, the movie, the novels (which is both approve by kubo), and the cover (maybe there are still more). And I'm happy that we are still receiving such great and worthy ichiruki stuffs that are approved or made by Kubo himself. We all Ichiruki fans are really happy with this,, I just hope that Kubo can read all of this. How thankful we are. This year is again another Ichiruki Year for us,,!!

The calendar cover is so sweet and wonderful.. There is no rukia and ichigo interaction in recent chapter but I like it and it is cool and funny.

I am glad Kubo made an Ichiruki art like this and it is not the usual style of Ichiruki team up. It is weird why their nakamas are standing but anyway, Rukia is so pretty with long lashes and Ichigo is so hot despite the winter.

Dropping by to share a couple of drawings and to fangirl a bit about the beautiful calendar cover . I am so in love with it. It is now my wallpaper at both my computer at home and at work . Kubo is definitely the biggest tease in the Universe, but he is hinting lovely things for our pairing . Ichigo and Rukia are in a little world of their own, napping and drunken with love . I know that scarf connects the two even though it goes out of frame .
I am so loving all the art from many of the members and coming out of this calendar cover as well avatars, siggies, etc... Thanks for sharing guys , great JOB! We are getting more and more spoiled by the day, too bad Kubo is on vacation, but poor thing deserves it, he has been working really hard, mostly for our ship . We are sure a demanding bunch hehehe, keep em' coming Kubo sama .

I made a Rukia dressed like a "maja" from Spain for Koto's challenge thingy lol. She can be going to the "Zarzuela" or a wonderful "Romeria" somewhere hahaha. Yes, someone said that Spain has more like Regional traditional clothing, but they tend to be a bit on the ugly or mundane side . So this one is more recognizable and feminine. That dress was a blast to make ^_^. I was thinking that she would look lovely with an all white dress, white carnations and white shall as well. I didn't put a "peineta" on her hair, I just didn't like how she looked, but I am pretty please with the results. I hope you like it.

Also, I fixed and improved this pic I made for Mikaoru as a representation for her country Argentina, with Ichiruki dancing TANGO. Which I think it suits Ichiruki to a t, since it is very passionate, dynamic, aggressive, yet elegant and you have to trust each other deeply to dance it well, in perfect harmony and collaboration. Someone said that it reminded them to Mr and Ms Smith. I guess I should've put a little dagger strapped to Rukia's thigh hahaha .
