kinda like Nel's all smile and sunshine while Grimmjow's all gloomy and grumpy, though he distinctly isn't when he's with her

How much of a chance it has that Nel will heal Grimmjow? Also, for what reason would she heal him in your opinion (aside from 'cuz we want her to')?

It's either her or Unohana, so 50%. But for some reason I can't imagine the Unohana scenario because
1 - GJ accepting help from a(nother? - not sure if Ichi counts) shinigami sounds off, especially since he'd think he owns them. I seriously can't imagine how he could repay a debt to Uberpwnage Momma-taichou.
2 - the way Unohana heals. I know this just sounds like an excuse, but I simply don't see Grimmjow lying in a makeshift bed in the middle of the desert, patiently waiting to be healed.

The reason... the main reason would be my crack theory what has little manga base.
But Nel saw when Ichigo saved GJ's life so she'd know he wants him to be alive.

I totally agree with you. I don't see him lying back like a meek kitty, twiddling his thumbs while Unohana heals him. And you're right, I think he'd feel the need to repay the "debt" if she did, and I seriously wouldn't see anyway possible for him to do that. And now that you mentioned it, I do think that Nel would probably save GJ for Ichigo's sake.

I think there's a pretty good chance of it. Nel's a good person and it seems she holds some sort of connection with him. I mean, this has been brought up before, she knew his rank and name even though she had forgotten everything else!

If she is conscious, she'll try I'm pretty sure. it's gonna be her or Unohona. It's all about if Grimmjow will let them or not.
