It's chibi Orihime and chibi Uryuu making chibi Rukia's chibi wedding dress! :D

...okay, it does seem like a strange idea, I admit. But I really wanted to draw Orihime - and a wedding dress, only I couldn't help thinking that the one dress I had in mind fit Rukia better. :( I didn't know what to do! But after much hesitation, inspiration arrived.

Inspiration: *punch in the head* "You idiot! Orihime sews!"

Me: "......so she does. Uryuu too! :yell Okay, now the path ahead of me is clear!"

As to why they're chibi, uh... I simply wanted to draw some chibi, really. :p

By the way, and I don't remember if I already joined the bleachness community or not - er. I'd better go check now. :D

Thank you Debbie! I was convince to join this FC when I though of how tragic Ishida's and Orihime's love could be. I can see it flashing through my eyes.

The love, the doubt and Orihime hurting because she was suposed to have been in love with Kurosaki-kun but suddenly she loves Ishida-kun and 'How can that be?'

The wonderful heartwrenching pain that I am starting to feel compelled to write!

Currently Im working on a pic of.. AU IshiOri, mostly theyre just older.

I havent really been able to get Orihime right, though I think Uryuu looks perfect.
Im trying to be able to switch my style easily from Naruto to Bleach, but especially the girls and boys in Bleach are drawn really differently. I will finish something soon and show you!

YES! Mezzo_marinaio belongs to this FC and posted that one just a couple days ago. It's called "Wedding Dress" and I love the fact that the dress is for Rukia. Mezzo does great IshiHime and IchiRuki art.

Kubo can still rearrange the characters in such a way that Ishida and Orihime are side-by side in the spread. He has done that for the previous poll winners' spreads too!

The very idea should not make me as happy as it does.
It's a crazzzzzzy wtf poll. I miss my Renji, Gin, and Urahara, and I've never understood the Kira phenomenon.... and yeah, HIMAMORI in a coma and making Aizen cookies in omake for this arc beat Orihime who was supposed to be the star, but I am happy for my Ishida.

Peliqua, you may post a link to your ecchi fics (PLEASE DO!:nuts) but if it's a very mature ficcie, I just won't put the link in the first post where it's easily accessible is all. That's what the IchiRuki FC does and I think it's a fair precedent.

Okay, let’s ask about this months topic “Characters”. First of all, let’s start with our main characters Ichigo and Rukia

“The first Ichigo I drew wore glasses. He wore glasses and had black hair (laugh)
He also had kind eyes… and it looks like a different person from the Ichigo we have now”

Is it true that Rukia’s design was decided before Ichigo’s design?

“Before the story was decided a Shingami uniform popped up into my mind. Unlike the design we have now it was like a uniform from Catholic school where they wore a black jacket over a white blouse with a black bowtie… and they carried a huge scissors. I thought that was what Shinigami was like. After that, to match Rukia’s design I changed Ichigo’s character design. Like Rukia had black hair so it’s best if Ichigo didn’t have black hair.”

Oh wow! It sounds like Kubo has an affinity with Uryuu's character design! XD Guys with black hair and glasses... aha! I think Uryuu is the only one that matches that description so far! Thats incredibly interesting that Kubo coordinates his characters on eachother :)

Ah, I have a doujin that Ileenka (<3) sent me--Maybe Baby. As soon as my husband scans all of it at work ( my scanner is broken and my husband seems to be taking his sweet time with this doujin >.<), I'll have an download link on a friends-only post at Bleachness.

So this stuff is new? Ah, maybe there will be more. Annie (<3) recently got me two IshiHime sweet doujinshi in Japan, and I hope to scan those too.

Orihime has been getting increasingly sexualized as the Bleach manga goes on--there is more and more H stuff with hers (although there has always been plenty). The IshiHime arts I see from Japan are adorable-sweet-only very slightly ecchi but never full on H.

I expect there will be IshiNemu art galore soon, given last week's chapter, but I do hope the eventual (I'm being PATIENT!) reunion of our lovely pair will spark imaginations of artists everywhere!

That just depresses me. Grr. >__> BLEACH doesn't even seem like BLEACH anymore. The story-line is at a halt, and the lack of interaction between our core characters have been suffering.

I do hope it gets back on track and Orihime and Ishida get some panel time together. The pairing is adorable. Anyone else think it's still possible?

Oh definitely. DEFINITELY. Take the whole forest into account, not just the latest tree. The time that Ishida and Orihime spent together in SS was a set-up for something, plot-wise. Just as the plot demands that Orihime's feelings towards Ichigo be resolved (and you guys know which way I think this is going to go), it demands resolution on the part of Ishida's feelings too---he has to find out what it is he wants to protect (hmmmmmm, wonder, wonder) and understand his father (according to the great plot-set-up lines from Souken) and Bleach is far from over.

I'm being very patient. Kubo hasn't disappointed me yet. The IshiNemu interaction of late was actually very satisfying--even though I've quasi-shipped those two before, I always thought it was a dark, unlikely ship and the revelations about Nemu's booby-trapped womb just make her pairing with anyone VERY unlikely--not to mention that her sexual experience is being juxtaposed with Ishida's innocence just as Yoruichi's was with Ichigo. It's done for the yuks. It's a teasing shounen thing--like Nel glomping Ichigo.

Ishida and Orihime have an egalitarian friendship that Kubo spent a lot of time developing in SS. He doesn't drop his stitches, as I've said before.

Depends on what you define as a "moment." The chemistry has always been there. And there's been sexual tension (well, clueless Orihime and Ishida flustered when she took off her shirt). Orihime has been in his arms. I counted--they literally have TOUCHED more times than any other pairing. They accidentally bonked--Chad throws Ishida into her, Ishida fixes her arm (funny that he heals her but she's yet to heal him in canon), Ishida rescues her. There are a few wonderful instances of Ishida standing in front of her to protect her--very epic, very romantic. That's the sort of stuff that feeds ships.

Yes, but since Soul Society Arc finished, there has not been many Ishi x Hime highlights that we can go "OMG! CANON :yell" Lol (despites that phone spread but some people make random comments about it so I guess it does not count)

The thing is, despite that I still find it amazing how people continue to support this pairing. Some people give up after a while after their fav pairing have not had a moment for a very long time but Ishi x Hime still remain quite a popular pairing in Japan

Yes, ^___^, well it's a testament to Kubo's characterizations that a pairing that hasn't been together in the manga can remain so popular. Ichigo and Rukia have been apart over a year--they're still number one. Ishida and Orihime have been consistently popular....

and yeah, Kubo's given us NOTHING, nada, zip...... well, except for that last reaction shot of Ishida when Urahara told him Orihime was kidnapped (that was even cut out of the anime) and for Ishida telling Renji that they were there to save Inoue-san, not fight espada. It was very clear that was supposed to be a parallel to Ichigo's recent statement of coming to fight AND to rescue EVERYONE (not just Orihime)

Ishida's sole purpose for being in HM is Orihime--that's enough for now. I can wait for the rest of the story.

Some characters just click. It doesn't have to take much interaction just to see the compatibility of the two, and even though its been so long since we saw interaction between the two, we still desire to see them together. I don't know what it was about them, but I just couldn't help seeing these two together, especially with everything they went through together. I think Ishida really does suit Inoue's personality, and vice versa. At least in the SS arc, she added some light moments to them, while Ishida was very protective of her. It was a very sweet thing to see.

How to join this fan club:

1. Swear allegiance to IshiHime. Part of the vows includes a declaration to like no other pairings for Ishida and Orihime.
2. Write a 5000 word essay. No more. No less. It must be exactly five thousand.
3. Post a video of yourself on Youtube re-enacting your favorite suspicious look that Ishida gives Orihime.
4. Make a cake. We're hungry here and you're on the bottom rung.
5. Create six fanfics, fourteen fanarts, three AMVs, and do one twenty kilometer marathon...all related to IshiHime, of course.

After doing all that, you'll be put on a waiting list to participate on the entry exam you need to complete before you can join. This year's test is on quantam physics.

...Is what I thought people should need to do, but debbiechan will likely let you join simply because you posted here and like the pairing.

I'm sure all of us would follow in your footsteps if you take the initiative to be the very first member to do all that. :D

As for number 2, I couldn't even finish a 5k word essay for ANYTHING, so again, I fail.

Number 4. I make cakes. They usually get burnt at the bottom of the tray, though.

For number 5. I've made one fanart! *accomplishment* But as for the marathon... I'd need to find two large coconut halves and stuck them to my chest, buy a long walnut wig, two blue hairpins before I can make a run for it.

hello! new here and a fan of ishihime! This pairing is just too adorable! :inlove They are probably my favorite in bleach next to ichiruki. I think it would be just so awsome for the biggest nerd in school to end up with the hottest chick. (isn't that the formula of a high school movie?) Yeah I just down to earth don't like IchiHime:hm how can people like them? they both have orange hair, it doesn't work right. Yeah so anyway, I really hope there will be more Ishihime moments in the future.

You have every right to love ishida/hime for whatever reason. But the whole nerd/hottie thing imo imply unintentionally that ishida is lesser than orihime.
Its like he doesn't have (normally) what it takes to be a suitable desirable partner to be with the "good looking" chick.

It also kinds of implies(again prolly unintentionally on your part) that Orihime is some sort of grand prize that the "unfortunate" ones like Ishida...can't "get" on normal occasions.

Lets cheer on for the (nerd) to get the hottie) argument is not favorable to the the fans of those characters. Because a character here is being downgraded and is not thought of as unequal to the other character.

Enjoy your stay in the FC:) I was just pointing out a sentence that i do not fair nor it paints either of the characters involved in a favorable light.

I agree somewhat with Jasse above. Jasse doesn't ship IshiHime but have many great discussions about the relationship and about our favorite Bleach character, Ishida, and yeah, there's something pejorative about the very word "nerd." I think Orihime's a nerd too, you see. She just hides it with her ditziness. And Ishida hides his amazing good looks with his glasses. They're more alike than people give them credit for. They fit together amazing well.

I think it's interesting, though I don't really like the term of 'can't get' as well. To me, natural circumstances just prevents it from happening because she is oh-so-in-love with a certain kumquat-coloured haired male. It's ironic, though. She is a grand prize that someone like Ichigo.... doesn't 'want'.

Someone told me last night how most guys love big boobs. Of course I know this is true but we know that when you're genuinely in love, size of boobs don't matter at all. Perhaps the guy would gripe about it every now and then, but I would probably ask him to go squeeze some water balloons and fantasize if he's that desperate. Anyway that's sort of out of topic. I'm just saying Orihime's boobs aren't an issue. In Kubo's art, however, they're scary. Not as scary as Rangiku's, though. Can people walk with those drums? They'll have a hunched back, even with triple the amount of calcium. Probably.

We've seen his naked face when his dad pwned him but his eyes were closed. Here's to ORIHIME seeing the true Ishida one day--and since the whole glasses removal seems to be a big metaphor for Kubo (eg Aizen and true identity), maybe Ishida will will lose his glasses and some clothes for her by the end of the manga.

I'm not too optimistic about an Ishida reaction. After all, we weren't even shown his reaction to Ichigo's "rescue" of her (even though Grimmjow technically BROUGHT Orihime to Ichigo). He may or may have not have been aware of her being safer or maybe he considers in as much peril as from the beginning.

I holding onto "I'm here to save Inoue-san, not to fight Espada"---that little bit of speech seemed so important and telling. I hope it foreshadows something and that indeed Ishida is the one who manages to save Orihime somehow.

Oh! I think I remember that line vaguely. I have fallen so far behind in Bleach. Which chapter did Ishida say that?

I think it's wonderful. He did go to SS to search for himself, to search for an answer to his grandfather's death, besides growing stronger. But in here, he made it clear he's here to save Orihime.

Ileenka, the Ishida line about wanting to save Orihime instead of fighting Espada comes when he and Renji are running away while Szayel is changing clothes, somewhere in the 270s. I'll find it later. It came right after the chapter where Ichigo made his speechie to Grimmjow about coming to save ALL this friends AND to fight... and I remember thinking, oh yeah, Kubo, rub it in how pure Ishida's motives are compared to Ichigo's.

I think this is the perfect opportunity for Ishida to prove himself. While the SS Captains are present, I think rescuing Orihime is the least of their priorities and the same thing follows for Ichigo. I have no doubt that Ichigo will pick his family over Orihime's rescue since he has always been family centric.

Ishida has not yet been given enough screentime by Kubo while Ichigo has way too much. I believe Kubo is setting up the scene where the ryoka team consisting of Ishida and Chad will rescue Orihime. It doesn't make sense to make such a big contingent to rescue Orihime when there are more pressing matters at hand.

GO ISHIDA!!! I'M ROOTING FOR YOU!!!

Welcome cris! *showers you with candy* So when did you start liking IshiHime? Let's talk, people! There's much to talk about! I've been on IM all day squeeing about the excitement and promise of the spoilers and trying not to gloat too much about how the summaries continue to show Ichigo's lack of interest in Orihime (and now show Ishida's concern! Ishida and Rukia mention her name at least! Ichigo! Where is his much anticipated angst over Orihime's being kidnapped? Aizen goes "Yo, Orihime is in tower five" and Ichigo doesn't give her a thought and tries to make a break for Karakura town where his family is--if Kubo, with his mighty authorial intent, wanted to put romance in here, he could've added a one panel of "Inoue?" a tiny haunted flashback over Inoue's last look, something.... <.<.....

anyways, seeing as how Kubo-sensei can toy with shipper hopes, I'm trying not to get mine too high. But all year I've been calling the IchiOri ship a red herring and I've maintained that Ishida and Orihime will meet in this arc....

What do you think now? The stage has been cleared? Should I dare raise my hopes?

Giiiirl, you ALWAYS keep my hope afloat! I did notice this as well, and I finally do believe that something will happen with our wonderful ship. It's really overdue, don't you think?

The hints and metaphors have gone far enough, we sorely need some progression with what's going to happen to these characters. Especially with Ishida and Orihime. Seriously, the foundation that was created between them, along with the obvious concern of our Quincy with saving her in this arch...It can't amount to nothing, right?

Debbiechan, I don't know what the future holds, but to just see you so excited...I sincerely hope that Kubo brings these two together. And not only for that reason, but I think if these two were to get together, they would just simply be the most adorable pairing ever. I always thought that when I watched them interact in SS. At that point in time, I was not even into shipping anyone that deeply really, but these two intrigued me so much, and made me think that Kubo was really up to something between the two. Ishida is the more serious of the two, while Inoue always maintained the light atmosphere, and just causing Ishida to go o___o often times hehe.

I'm really waiting for that reunion now. And anything can happen up to this point, so there is always hope.

Well, it's been almost two years for us, but in manga time, it's only been about a month for Ishida and Orihime. I'm presuming they haven't seen each other since the day Ryuuken took Ishida to train under the hospital. Remember that Orihime noticed that he was missing school.

My first hope is still that Orihime will play a larger role in all things and prove Aizen a liar; I hope she saves herself before Ishida saves her, but I do expect a reunion. Given that these two aren't very far along in their relationship beyond intimate friends (a few days and NIGHTS together in SS made for some quick bonding time--more, I dare say, than Orihime's had with any of her other nakama in HM, more than with anyone but Tatsuki), I certainly don't expect a reunion with physical affection but it's funny when you think about how many times these two have accidentally touched, bonked or Ishida has swept Orihime into his arms. Didn't I just say last week that I didn't expect an Ishida reaction shot this week to Orihime's kidnapping! Glad to have been proven wrong! :nuts Who knows! Seriously, with Kubo'S penchant for surprises! WHO KNOWS!

When I read the spoilers, I couldn't really believe that Aizen found Inoue 'useless'. I think its just another ruse to get everyone to come to where she is located. If he really didn't have a use for her, he either would have just left her with Ichigo and Kenpachi, or would have killed her right then and there. But he spent an immense amount of time getting her to HM, and I think there is something and that Inoue will definitely be playing a huge role in the upcoming war.

And yep, it was a given that Ishida would be one that would have been thinking about Inoue through the panels. I agree, there will not be any physical affections from either side, but there will be something. There always is :D

@ Mizu, :yell, those are GORGEOUS!!! They both look so sweet!

yahoosoda - :D:D:D I have so many ideas for what will (I hope) eventually become the 'Bleach cosplays Naruto' series, that I don't know where to begin. Unfortunately, I also have quite a lot of work at my university at the moment, not to mention a few fanarts/colorings that I began but had to temporarily abandon because of said work.
