I just never liked the dubbed ones, esp on YYH's case cause of the way they changed the characters' names and such :)

Just kidding :) though it's a good fight I think I enjoyed The Knife Edge Deatmatch the most. Yusuke vs Mr. Punkmaster, his name was Chuu or something like that.

Definitely Yusuke v. Yomi for me, it was just the overall intensity of the fight that I loved so much. It was so fierce and fast paced.

Dark- yeah, that fight was great, all the moves used, Yusukes powers and how it ended, good times :XD

I have a few fave fights, but i think Hiei vs Seiryu is my fave, that was just great stuff :XD

Yusuke Yomi was an excellent fight, and it was the zenith of the series, so it stands to reason that it be the biggest spectacle. Though it's just one of many for me. ^_^

my other favorites:

Kurama v. Karasu- This is probably the single bloodiest fight in the entire series, but Karasu had such a memorable personality, so it all worked out in the end. ^^ I find it strange that for all his talk about robbing himself of the things he loved, he was going to let Kurama live in the end.

Kuwabara v. elder Toguro- 'cuz the rare instances when this guy actually wins deserve recognition. ^^

Kuwabara v. Shishiwakamaru- because it was my favorite of all of Kuwabara's many losses.

Hiei v. Seriyuu- because this was his last fight as a pure swordsman. afterward he became more of a DBZ-style energy shooting fighter, which just wasn't as much fun to watch... although Hiei v. Shigure was an awesome battle as well.

Aside from the Yomi x Yusuke fight.. I also enjoyed Genkai vs Toguro, because I like the way she fights and her powers. she's so powerful. Young genkai is soo pretty :p

I just found it with pure luck on a board and decided to give it a try. The first 10 eps nearly bored me to death, but the latter 100 were just the pure awesomeness. First the Mortal Kombat like DT arc. Then the best arc in my opinion with Sensui's seven and the ultimate conclusion at the Youkai Realm with Yomi. Wow, that's definitely the best quick watch Action shonen out there, since every other series has 200+ eps.

yeah the territory concept gave the sensui arc it's greatness...Togashi has a really great imagination about making abilities for his characters...He showed more of that in hunter x hunter

Because it's the perfect blend of awesome, funny and story. Neither the anime or manga drags on too long which makes things even better :3

Not really... Sensui basically gave up against Demon Yuusuke because his goal was already achieved and he knew he was going to die anyway. Fair enough he didn't stand a chance against Demon Yuusuke but Yuusuke regained his senses... if Sensui had bothered to dodge (like he could have but simply choose not to) he could have continued the fight and probably have won it by all accounts.

Toguro... well... he's far more badass then Sensui but i really don't think that Toguro ever stood a chance against him. Sensui is just so stupidly unreal strong.

He became what he hated to kill the demon yes but he lived the rest of his life waiting for a strong opponent to kill him for his sin. He said things like "being human makes you weak" and so forth as an act to make everybody believe he was evil. He even killed Genkai to make Yusuke hate him more but despite killing her Toguro KNEW that if Yuusuke won that she'd be revived and even arranged for it to happen. He spaed Kuwabara to make sure that Yuusuke would have Genkai and only Genkai revived.

Basically he was good throughout but wanted to suffer for his sins but not to simply use his life as a demon to do so he instead built upon his sins and atoned for them all after he died in battle.

He was a good guy yes but a demon in a previous Dark Tourny killed his friends. In order to gain revenge he became a demon himself.

The sins on top of that were being a demon for hire who did stuff like he did in the manga.

thats true, but elder toguro was shown as a survivor of the final round of the dark tourney, and he elected to become a demon as well i thought :XD

or in the anime when toguro retruns from being gone for the months before the tourney and genkai sees him and comments on how he changed

Makihara ate elder toguro to absord his abilities, but the n it turns out toguro took him over and then he fought with kurama

and kurama used the sinning tree to put and end to him, but toguro never dies ;)

Yeah the lower jaw never really goes away. It's just there. All the way through that fight. It's freaking freaky.

And Kurama was really pissed off so he sent Toguro off to an eternal damnation. A living death as it were.

Koenma didn't actually force Toguro to choose. He was going to let him off a bit easier, considering everything, but when Toguro got there, he asked for the harshest possible. And he kinda had to convince Koenma to do it. :p

I was reffering to Elder Toguro. The creepy one.

The younger Toguro basically did DP said ^^ I'm not sure how long the punishment lasts for either ^^; I think it was something like a few thousand years of pure torture.

English dub of YYH was amazing, holy lord I love it. I liked it better than the subs. xD

Yeah, it was my favorite series for ages! It's been awhile since I watched it, though ocasionally I go and watch Yusuke v Yomi just because it really is that cool. :p

I remember watching the behind the scenes of YYH dub on my Saga of the Three Kings dvd box set and the guy who does Yuusuke's voice was REALLY into it. He totally loved doing the voice and even researched it by obtaining fan subs and watching the Japanese version.

It's probably why it's so good. Not many VA's do that afterall.

Yes that is true. He was just one of the judges at the audtions and after god knows how many people showed up he gave it a go himself (for fun) and everybody agreed he was fit for the part.

Quite amazing really as he fits all the aspects of Yuusuke just about as well as the Japanese Yuusuke did. There are very few dubs that meet the standards of the original (and only one or two that even exceed them. The only one i can think of the top of my head being Outlaw Star.) and YYH dub definatly matches the original.

hell, they even incorporated accents well

Like giving Chu the stereotypical aussie voice :XD or Jin and his crazy whatever the hell accent that was XD
