This anime is too overrated. It sure is individual and epic, but none of my all time favourites. But i guess everyone has to see it for himself.

Do you mean Elfen Lied? It was certainly different from what I'm used to. It's very gory and violent. >_< But nevertheless, I did enjoy watching it although i really don't like the level of violence in it.

I enjoyed it. It was more violent than I usually like but it worked. I like it more than the manga.

I've heard it's drastically different from the manga and that it stops short. Not surprising since the anime ending left me with an empty, dissatisfied feeling. Nevertheless, it was still enjoyable ;)

I'm not sure how different it was from the manga, but the anime rocked, most of the time. There were times where the story was very boring, side from the high impact moments. Lol.

Ha I watched the anime the other day, thanks to Lilium's advice. It was great, very emotional, not to mention violent as hell. D:

I have never read the manga, but I really like the anime, it's very good. It also is the most violent anime I've ever watched. . .while watching the first episode I was like "Hmm, okay >_o", but shortly I got used to it.

Elfen Lied is worth a watch to those who don't freak out because of gory violence.

I haven't been able to read the whole manga, I stopped at volume 2 or 3 and just picked up the anime, I wonder how much different the rest is.

I have not seen this one yet, but I really want to see it.
I first saw it on AMV Hell 3 and they also put some in AMV Hell 4.

I've been reading the manga, haven't watched much of the anime. The manga is excessively violent, and sometimes even groutesque, but the characters are what keep me coming back. I don't know if Lucy's history is the same in the anime, but in the manga she can be so evil, and then show a glimmer of what she could've been. She's what keeps me reading the manga.

I don't have anything against blood, but wasn't that too unnecessary bloody? I really liked her powers, and the story was okay, but Elfen Lied is not one of my favorites^^

The anime really had potential :devestated if they hadn't stopped it before the manga, I would have been fangirling over a violent theme (which is seriously not me). I really wanted to see more of Bondou (sp?) though :XD He's kickbutt....

I'm with Rukia151, I've read the manga and really loved it at the time. The violence was excessive but the characters and the various themes of the manga got me addicted.

I haven't watch the anime (but I will at some point) but I've read the differences between the manga and anime. I hope they didn't really tone down Lucy's evil-ness because I think that's what makes the character who she is...
