Psychometrer Eiji, anyone?

I know it's an obscure series but it's just sooooo good! I need to go catch up on it but it's about this high school student Eiji who has the ability to touch things and know history associated with them. As such, he has trouble relating to people because he can see if they are lying or have darkness in their hearts. He hangs out with a lot of street people but the adventure begins when he teams up with a police detective named Shima who believes in his abilities. The series run as a sort of case by case style like Case Closed! but there is a thread of story with the main characters that allow for some continuity and something to look forward to.
