I wanna join, too! :)Yeah, these two and their history is so well told in the story, it pretty much beats out any other two pairs in all of Bleach! They already act like a married couple as it is, so they should just get married some day. Then, Byakuya can consider Renji as a part of his family, and Renji will be just as good as a noble (no more need to feel like she's somehow above him anymore). :hug

Hey, to those who watch the current anime from Japan, did anyone notice that in the scene from the manga (end of Arrancar Arc) where Byakuya and Kenpachi come through the SS doors into Inoue's room to force Renji and Rukia to go back to SS, it was animated a bit differently? Renji put his hand on Rukia's shoulder as they were leaving, reluctantly, through the doors in the manga, but in the anime, you only see Rukia going through the doors, looking back at Ichigo, as if Renji had already gone through before her! I was like, what?!! I've been waiting to see that animated and they totally cheated me out of it!!:mad:

Yeeeah, I was kinda miffed that the studios diced that one up...>.> I mean, they pretty much changed that scene to favor Ichiruki over Renruki...wtf! Not fair, animators, not fair! Then again, the movie Memories of Nobody was totally shipping these 2 (while Ichigo was off w/ Senna) so it's all good, aaall goood....^__-
(I wonder how they're gonna do Ren&Ruk's re-entry scene in the anime? Better be good. And before the new fillers. :notrust)

Fave moments?? Honey, that'd be everything!! XD R&R rock my soxes! I guess I'd say er, pretty much all of their childhood together (including the scattered brief comedy scenes we get of them in the Shinigami Academy together; really shows their closeness/adorableness etc.), the parts where toward the end of SS Arc Renji was pretty much carrying Rukia around (almost like a bride :D) everywhere, and then kept refusing to give her up to Aizen no matter what. (And this is AIZEN he's up against, here :eek:)

And of course in the movie. (I saw this scene in a trailer a good while before the movie even came out subbed) Rukia was alone somewhere in nighttime Seireitei watching the 'Kidou Cannon' about to go off, and Renji just walks up from behind her and, well, here it is: (hard to describe tho, 'twas just so classic RenRuki :p)
*neither looking at other*
Rukia: Watashi-- (I-)
Renji: *interrupts*Ore mo-- (Me too-)
*both pause*
Ren: *turn to Ruki w/ old-friend smile* I'm goin' too.
(surprised Ruki turns head to him)
Ren: Why should he get all the action? (Ichigo, who went in the alter-dimension-thingy all alone)
Ruki: *closes eyes, makes sound/sigh of agreement with smile & small nod*
Ren: *makes sound like about to say something, but closes eyes too with a "heh" & shifts view back to kidou cannon* :rolleyes:

Their scene is from about 0:30 to 0:57 (or watch 0:00~0:57 for a liiittle more scene context) --literally, short but sweet! (Their love is so...uh, forbidden...ness! Le gasp! XDD) So many things going on there; these 2 know each other way too well... ^___^ Plus, Renji's line abt. Ichi got me thinking--probly meant in more than one way (NO not a dirty way; not that kind of action), it also sounds like he's jokingly being jealous over all the Rukia-time Ichigo's been getting. Hard to tell if that was really on purpose by the scripters or not, tho...Either way, it seems like that scene was specifically put in there for rabid fans like us. Not to mention the other brief scenes they get throughout the movie. :3 :uhuh
Which reminds me, if you have not seen Memories of Nobody yet... :hm

Oh, I forgot all about posting my favorite RenRuki moment...

This one's probably a lot of people's favorite, but when Rukia thanks Renji when she was confused about whether or not to join the Kuchiki clan. He was making her feel like she was the luckiest person in SS to get asked to join them, excited and all, but she just solemnly removed his hand from her shoulder, thanked him, and walked away... it being the last time they spoke for four decades. *sniff* :cry

Those two make me cry... I love when they finally reunited, but I only wish Renji hadn't been so angsty the whole time. He really messed that up, acting tough and like he was enjoying seeing her screwing up. I realize he had 40 years of pent-up emotions, frustrations, etc., but his attitude prob during that reunion just wrecked the whole experience for me.

I'm just glad it was only a very temporary problem and they are back to being practically married again.:glomp Their relationship has grown so much since they last spent any time together at the Academy. I love seeing that. They are so sweet together... (Get married, you two, get married!)

Thanks Sora Chan! That was a great post, Kurai. I have to say I love everything about them too. Such great chemistry and the reason why my computer is full of fanart of those two. I enjoyed Memories of Nobody. The movie did give our fandom some great fan service. I love how they always show up together, making up for lost time.

I really want Rukia back in the manga...I'm not as avid as some other fans...because...I LOVE LOTS OF CHARACTERS IN BLEACH to say she's the only thing that adds to plot, but I've been dying for Rukia/Renji interaction. They're so beautiful together. I think Renji is the most appealing male character in Bleach so I don't ship her with anyone else. She gets best pick :yell!

Chap Goh Mei is a Hokkien term for ‘fifteenth day for the first lunar month, the first full month of the New Year. This occasion is marked by various festivities, namely Lantern Festival, Chinese Valentine Day Festival and eating tangyuan(normally done on Winter Solstice Day). These different festive celebrations have their own separate celebrate date, but somehow they are brought together to be celebrated on one day.

Lantern Festival >> There are two types of Chinese Lantern Festival, one that is celebrated on 15/first lunar moon and the other one is celebrated on 15/eighth lunar moon.

The First Lantern Festival(15/1)
Long time ago, an emperor dreamt about his home palace being burned down, believing that it was a bad omen. Some of the court officials used the emperor’s dream as an opportunity to set thousands of concubines and female servants free from the home palace, by telling the emperor to that the dream was indeed a bad omen and the palace would be burnt down to the ground by deities. In order to avoid impending disaster, each female resident in the imperial palace must carry a lantern and go home, thus fooling the deities in believing there was already a fire in palace and people were fleeing, and every one would return to the palace afterwards. The emperor agreed and of course, there was no fire at the palace and the emperor credited the supposedly successful aversion of the disastrous fire with what was done, and hence he decreed the event to become a regular festival. As a result, the festival eventually became a family reunion day(the girls went back respectively to their homes) when it merged with other Chinese traditions of various regions in China over time.

The Second Lantern Festival(15/8)
It is sometimes referred as Mid-Autumn Festival. Originally intended for friends and families to gather together, to eat moon cakes and pomeloes and enjoy admiring the bright mid-autumn harvest moon(which happen to be the brightest and roundest throughout the whole year). Mid-Autumn Festival also has a romantic Chinese eternal love story that is similar to the Tanabata story, about a couple(HouYi and Chang Er) who were separated from each other and could only come together during the Mid-Autumn Festival, when the moon itself is in it’s fullest and brightest (bright mid-autumn harvest moon).

Chinese Valentine Day (15/1)
Chinese Valentine Day is also celebrated on Chap Goh Mei, but on a smaller scale in compared to the other festival during the Chinese New Year. However in compared to the other Chinese Valentine Day (7/7, Tanabata), the former one is preferred because Chinese Valentine Day (7/7) falls during the Chinese Ghost Month (possibly they don’t want to mingle love and ghost together, or making their love to be forbidden). It is also my opinion, that Chap Goh Mei is a much more happier occasion than 7/7 Chinese Valentine day, because there is no rain, and unmarried girls would be able to go out and meet their prospect suitors on a date throughout the whole night. In certain places, the girls would throw tangarines into the river / sea in hope that the tangarines that they throw, would be picked up by their fated partners.


Rules & Regulations:
Chap Goh Mei Night is also a Chinese Valentine Day, like Tanabata 7/7 Night, but with a slight difference. The moon on Chap Goh Mei is a full moon, while the Tanabata moon is a sickle moon.

RenjixRukia is the main couple for the love contest Chap Goh Mei. As it is a Chinese Valentine Day, your other favourite couples, other than RenjixRukia are welcomed to ‘join in’ the festival fun, the more coupling the merrier. Provided the other couple is not the rivaled coupling for RenjixRukia. No IchigoxRukia, RenjixHinamori, RenjixOrihime, RenjixIchigo, RukiaxOrihime pairing are allowed allowed. Maybe a slight ByakuyaxRukia is allowed.

You can do anything on RenjixRukia Chap Goh Mei; you can even have Renji and Rukia in a Halloween/Christmas/Thanksgiving, with a condition that there is no element of rain, no sickle moon (full moon is better) inside.

Try breaking out the usual norm for RenjixRukia coupling.

I should tell why i think it works =) of course, without bringing in my hatred of ichika into this.

Renji and Rukia have known eachother since they were young in Rukongai. In a world of pain and hardship, they had eachother when everyone else around them had disapeared. They developed a sort-of support system for one another. They made the decision to become shinigami together, and went through with it, enduring the 'bullying' from their classmates. But, when Rukia was adopted into the Kuchiki family, Renji became all alone, his support system was gone and it was now him enduring all the hardship. He had to let her go because it would be a better richer life for her. Renji (most likely) wants to surpass Byakuya so that he too, could have a high ranking place in society like Rukia, and this was his only way to do it, so that he doesnt have to endure everything on his own. Renji might have seemed cold when he met Rukia in the realworld, but imagine how upset he must have been. He never planned on hurting Rukia, they were going to take her to the S.S from the start, but they were scaring her to get information.. He must have been jealous that she'd taken an interest in a human, and probably assumed things. His rage probably got even higher when ichigo came. During their fight he said that he blamed ichigo for everything, for putting rukia through all of this, claiming that it was his fault she was being put to death. But then realizing that it was his fault, because he didnt stop Rukia from going into the Kuchiki family, for letting her go. So my anaylsis of Renji is that hes a hurt character who loves Rukia, but feels that shes the moon and hes just trying to reach something he never can.
