View Full Version : What "Peace" Does Yhwach Want?

He's harping about how conflict "is such a bitter affair", and how he intends to pursue peace, yet his every action leads to more conflict, more war, more destruction.

Hell, there's even some indication that he enjoys conflict (see his smirk/grin at killing Yamamoto and fighting Ichigo).

If he intends to kill the Spirit King, the whole of the Soul Society will fall, permanently disrupting the balance of reincarnation between the worlds. That's not "peace" at all. That's annihilation.

Just a thought but what if annihilation is what Bach is seeking? Perhaps Bach (still not use to calling him Yhwach) does seek utter destruction, as he could see the empty void that will be left after the destruction as the only true peace.

What if after his experiences in the past (with the much more ruthless Gotei 13) and knowledge of the Quincy massicure from 200 years ago (and only knowledge of it, not having experienced it himself), Bach has a dark perspective that all this world will always lead to repeating wars and destruction (With Quincies wiping out hollows, Hollows killing humans, and shinigami battling Hollows while also fighting the Quincy as the past has shown).

Maybe Bach's dark mind honestly believes that there could never be peace in this world and would rather destroy it all and bring about the ultimate 'peace' by killing everything everywhere?

Eh, just a thought.

Let's say that's true. That priories yet another contrast between Aizen and Yhwach.

Aizen wanted to change the status quo by having himself oust the Spirit King. Everything else stays, but he would've been the absolute ruler.

With Yhwach, it could be peace through annihilation, for everyone apart from himself, of course.

Although we could question whether or not Bach actually intends on having himself survive all of this or not.

Hell for all we know, Bach could also intend to end himself at the end of all this or actually allow himself to continue on as the last being in existence. While he may not look like it due to his very selfish actions that have been displayed so far, maybe Bach also feels that he should also perish in order to have this 'ultimate peace' come to be...

Or of course could be a case of him wanting be the absolute power in the universe by being the only one left type of deal...I would put my money on this one though.

Although this does give Aizen a reason to stand against Bach, how could Aizen rule the world if there is no world to rule in the first place?

Yhwach is incredibly selfish. It's why he killed Kanae and Masaki.

I doubt he'll want to kill himself to achieve peace.

Peace for a pure blooded Quincy world, it's looking like to me. Apparently everyone else is fair game for using then slaughtering.

He's a hypocrite IMO. How can he speak highly of Masaki knowing he contributed to her death?

What Tom said, except I don't think killing human souls is part of his agenda.

Yhwach probably wants a world where it's him and his ''children'' and converts. I don't think he cares if the balance collapse since his main territory isn't in neither Soul Society nor Earth. He could utilize the Muken if he needs more space.

Thinking about it, it's crazy how someone who was practically dead or in a coma for nearly 1,000 years just woke up one day and did a god-like power stealing technique on an unknown number of his descendants, started a war, and killed thousands along the way. He even went up to Aizen and attempted to recruit him, knowing he's ''immortal'' with a reality warping ball fused inside him. Talk about confidence.

At this point I think its obvious this peace Bach wants is for him and his league of quincies to rule the world. No shinigami's to tell them what to do and no one telling them its bad to kill hollows. However, they are disrupting the soul balance though, so if they continue to do this, there won't be a world to even rule. So the next guess is that Bach, like aizen, just wants to rule all the worlds as the soul king.

Probably peace for Quincies and only Quincies, eradicate all that arent pureblooded Quincies (aka his "Sons" and "Daughters").

A weird thought I just had....
Since Yhwachs blood runs through every Quincies veins...... does that mean Quincies are getting intimate with their pure blood cousins?

If his power is to infuse others with his blood then it doesn't really matter. He can always infuse other people with his blood to expand the gene pool. And he probably didn't start with just 2 Quincies, Adam & Eve style.

What kind of peace, you say? Why, peace on earth and mercy mild for all Quincys, of course!

Bach's such an extremist, I bet he won't accept any peace until all the shinigamis are dead. No exceptions. But there is a big chance this guy has other motives besides revenge and that he isn't just after the welfare of his children. I'm willing to bet all the guy wants is power with a little revenge served on the side. He kinda gives off the vibes of a power-hungry maniac - well, at least to me.
