Whats your secret to keeping your weight stable?

I'm almost 5'10 and weight 130lbs (almost 9 stones I think).

I eat right after I exercise, but then I do warm-up exercises. It boosts your metabolism and gets you too eat more, and puts on healthy weight.

I'm 1, 70 m (5, 7) and weigh too much>.> I really want to lose weight..about 18/20 kg..but I just can't get it started..O ofcourse I have a week when it all goes well..but then I fall back into my old habits..and starting eating crap again. Not that I eat much..but I won't lose it either..

Gah..I know how to lose weight, exercise, start eating breakfast for once (I don't really do breakfast..makes me sick) eat more fruit and stay away from the snacks..

any have good ideas as to how to lose weight?

I'm 5'11" and about 160 pounds (that should be somewhere around 11 stone I think). If anything I'm too skinny for my own good. I eat a whole lot of junk food, so my diet isn't what is keeping my weight down. I guess the thing that keeps my weight down is how I go surfing/swimming almost everyday and also play hockey a lot when it's in season. I should really start eating healthy, though.

Been around the same weight the past 7 years at around 56 kg and 180 cm in height.

Secret... Have days where i follow my stomech and eat all day and others where i more or less ignore it(get's complains from it)
Don't recall when i were normal weighted, I suppose i would had been around 7-8 years old at that time if i've ever been.

I am so envious of all the males who are so lightweighted..*bawling* Ha..maybe I should just stop eating..then again..mad parents:S hm..what to do.

Riekie- you need to eat more food, and be active. The worst thing you can do is stop eating. If you do that you'll kill your metabolism, then when you eat, it won't be used as energy it'll be turned to fat. You should eat smaller amounts all throughout the day, and increase your activity. If you do that you should lose weight.

I'm around 193cm (6'4) and weigh around 200-205 lbs, although I look like I'm 150-160 , becuase I keep fit by playing basketball, I usto do capoiera, and I'm getting into brazilian jiu jutsu and I always run. I usto weight lift alot and weighed 250 about a year ago, but I stopped so I could loose some muscle and basically start all over by trying to get ALOT more flexible. My goal is to be around 180, and be nice and flexible.. Then I'll be able to get back at 200lbs. Right now, I'm just slim and muscle but I'm not as flexible as I want to be :| I don't eat junk food, and I normally drink water , juices, tea, and milk.

I don't pay attention to the exact details but I think I am fine atm. I only got slightly big one time in my life cos of a baskin robbins addiction and I had to eat a lot of it to get there but lost it pretty fast. I just don't eat much anyways and drink lots of coffee :D

I'm alright I think... I try to eat healthy (once in a while), I walk to and fro work (try to), and if I struggle a bit more to fit into my jeans / clothes, I simply eat less lunch and dinner.

I also don´t eat much, but I need
my 3-4 cups of coffee a day XD (I´m just drinking coffee atm;
it´s my breakfast for today XD)
I have a normal weight.

But I should do more sports again:
I play volleyball and once did martial arts! ^_^

I find it extreamly easy to lose weight but i can never put it back on, as a kid i was always over weight and got picked on so i went on a crash diet for a week and went to a twig because i ate nothing but slim fast. I was 8 stone then and I'm 8 stone now but I'm about 1ft and 1/2 bigger xD

I don't weigh too much, but nor do I weigh too little. My mom keeps telling me I don't have to lose weight at all (she also keeps telling me how good a body I have >.<;; ), but I'd like to lose maybe something like 5-7 lbs (2-3kg), even if it's not necessary. That's easy though, I just have to keep eating the way I eat (quite healthy: lots of green tea, vegetables, fruits, light drinks instead of sugary ones, and the list goes on). I also seem to have a good metabolism. Sometimes I even eat pizza and things like that, but not too much, so I don't gain weight.

I'm somewhat satisfied the way I am now, though. :3

i have an eating problem >.< i just never get hungry. im quite a bit underweight for my height XP and either someone has to remind me to eat or i just plain forget to eat until i start getting so lightheaded and have so little energy i force myself to eat >.<

i really should do more physical activity... that might make me hungrier but im too lazy right now >.<

Everyone who commented on this thread is very brave =D Kudos to you all.

As for my weight I am not brave enough to tell you all, I don't really keep track on it >.<. I would say I am pretty normal though and keep it under control with swimming and having to walk everywhere (literally). I don't really eat too much either. I only eat when something is put infront of me or if other people are eating.

I definitely wouldn't mind losing weight though ^^

I'm skinny as hell. lol. At least I think so. I'm tall, 5'11'' irrc. I'm probably around 140 lbs. I eat ALOT, but just never seem to but on weight. I guess that's not a bad thing. :/ My parents say it because of genetics and that I won't be able to gain any significant weight without actually really trying, i.e. actual gym type muscle training. F*ck that I say. lol. To much anime to watch. lmao.

I'm 175cm which is 5'9" so screw all you tall people! I play basketball too!! :p I weigh 77.5kg which is 171lbs. My body mass index is 25.3 which means I'm .4 overweight haha:p. I just have a well built body thats all. My basketball coaches fault, perhaps genetics a bit too.

I eat several meals throughout the day rather than breakfast, lunch and dinner. I eat a late breakfast since I wake up lateish usually, then afternoon tea, dinner, then supper. I eat anything, trying to cut down on junk food. I don't eat enough vegetables though x3.Whats your secret to keeping your weight stable?

My job is absurdly sedentary. I've regained 30lbs back that I lost. *cries* I'm 5'10/5'11(?) and around 185-190lbs...trying to get back to my happy 170-175 or even 165-170. It just means i need to go running around more, but that's hard when you have to sit in front of a computer all the time and do stupid fixes.

Running is always good! Common way to build stamina, and to keep yourself active. Most instructors would assume that you excercise on your own anyways =p

I think my weight is not more than 50 kg, and I'm underweight :o
I actually eat a lot, perhaps 2 servings of rice in my meal, yet, I don't gain weight. When I count my calorie content, I found out it's actually less than 2,000 (average intake for our people is 2,200 calories. perhaps that's the reason that I don't get any bigger. (-_-) Besides, just walking to my school building burns the fat I ate in my breakfast.

speedphantom

Some people are just naturally skinny or have a high metabolism. Do you want to gain weight? I think if you do its best to do it through exercise not overeating haha:p

rei_ai
08-15-2007, 09:05 AM
Actually, my classmates always go :eek whenever they saw me eat during lunch time because of my big appetite, yet I'm petite. My friend envy me coz I don't get fat no matter how much I eat. The evil thing about them is alleging me of having worms in my stomach. (-_-)

i don't have any, I swear.

My only exercise is walking and doing some stressful mental activities. (e.g. reading posts :D)
And yes, I guess my metabolism is fast, but I swear I don't have hyperthyroidism.

speedphantom
08-15-2007, 01:44 PM
Genetics I guess haha. Are your parents skinny as well?

Oh, that reminds me, people with small bodies but big appetite haha, they're among the biggest eaters, well if they train. Like the steak eating competition in America, there was a huge guy and then two smaller normal sized people.

I used to be thin (sigh) i had that whole "i can eat everything and never gain weight" until about 19 or so, then it was "hellllo stomach" . Although it did strangly coincide with my beer drinking phase >.>

Currently i'm 6ft exactly and weigh 13 Stone , I'm on my path to loosing 1 or 2Stone (down to btwn 75-80 kgs).

The Plan:
Special K for breakie
Salad for Lunch + Apple
another one of the above for supper

And no sugar or sweets or stuff (that i'm good at , not much of a sweet tooth)
Oh and drink water (2l's)

im a shorty haha. im only 5"0 and i weight 122. Im kind of dieting. well...more like yo yo dieting.i always loose a few than gain it back. my goal is 110. I dont look fat or anything, i stay fit by doing Kempo Karate and Track and Field, i still just dont like knowing the fact that im over 120 lbs. Im starting high school in a few weeks and i wanna look slimmer to start. On top of doing karate i also do sit ups, push ups and squats before i go to bed =]
