How good are your manners?

How would you place your own manners on a scale from 1-10
1 Beeing like the lowest and let's just say it would be like eating with the animals at a farm.

10 beeing like nobels from the 1600-1700 centry.


If possible would a moderator add something to each number that would fit?


Oh and this is not only eating habits it's also other social habits such as how you talk to people, how helpsome you are, do you eat what's served, do you do what your parents tell you to etc.


Personally i suppose im somewhere in between 4 & 5 in general ^^'

I would say about 5 for me, i have some manners but i don't exactly chew with my mouth open and get food on your girlfriends face then tell her she's a messy eater. but i don't exactly go around saying "Good day old chap" to a friend.

Well i do say stuff like good day, usually when i ain't expecting to have a conversation right away.

Reason i placed myself at 5 is I might be alittle to stubon at times and not care about other stuff ^^'

Such as even at big celebrations just leaving food without even touching it, leaving the table when i want(though rarely at big celebrations obviously)
Not beeing the first to offer my help in the house.
when having my parents here as guests I do at times tell em to do stuff themself a bit more, then they'd like it sound like ^^'
Yet again, i suppose the ones i show the least manners towards generally is my parents... strange

I rated myself a 7/10 when it comes to manners.

I don't eat with my mouth open (which imho is very disgusting), don't speak with my mouth full, I 'eat' the way it's supposed to..like cutting with the left hand and fork in the right (although I do switch when all my food is cut..hahaha Leftie in every wayXD) ehm...I help people, even strangers (if they ask nicely) etc etc.

I can also be a complete rude b*tch when things don't go as planned..like when people suddenly come over I get very angry, and immediately go to my room or such.

it depends on the day and how i want to deal with people. On average i'd say i'm 7, on worst days i'm something like a 3 because I can completely disregard people ;)

Talking about laughing, yeah i know that can be rude at times...
Sometimes i end up laughing when people are angry at me.
Another one that some call impolite is when walking away when people are speaking to you.
I usually do that when people rant and won't allow me to explain, which means the conversation is just a waste of time.
Hmm... swearing... in my head yes, through my mouth... does happen, but i usually keep it within.

In my culture, you have to have to respect elders, so I always address and greet them with formal titles. I dress formally when attending important occassions, sit properly when I'm a guest somewhere, or when there are guests at my house. Good etiquette at the dining table. Always smile and greet people if we make eye contact ... will definitely lend a helping hand if I see someone in need. So, I'll give myself 8/10? I have very bad manners when it comes to driving ... :(

I would put myself on a 9. I'm not perfect, but I am polite and respectful as much as I can be. It's sometimes difficult to remember and sometimes difficult when dealing with people that get to you. >.>. lol. But I try and be a nice guy pretty much always. My friends say I'm a freak cause I'm never in a bad mood and almost never rude. ha.

I'm exceptionally polite. I knock before I go into ANY room, have perfect table manners, and hold doors for old folks.

Being at work is a slightly different story. Since I work a critical table for the day to day operations, whenever the truckers bring me some bullshit compliant and start telling me how to do my job, I just turn my radio up louder and ignore it. Or I chew them out and call them things like "sock puppet" or "2 day old coffee filter" etc. I get colorful and creative.

Depends really, I think I range from anywhere from 6-10 depending on the situation. For example, maybe perhaps having a formal dinner would require me to be at 10. At home, it could be really be anywhere from 6-8.

8-9 / 10 depending where and what the occasion is.Excellent point haha. Depends always. I voted 8 though. I've got pretty good manners, adapt with the situation. For example if you're in someone elses house you're a 10. If you're shopping you're a 6-7 but thats acceptable for the situation. You also don't treat your friends like royalty and speak like all that nonsense so its manners relative to each situation.

I work at a supermarket so then it would be 10 there most of the time haha:p

It depends on so many things... xD like my mood, the occasion, who I'm with, on and on... so lowest being 5 and highest being 8-9 which makes about 7 ;)
