An inscrutable and abnormal territory, known as Hell's Gate, appeared in Tokyo and altered the sky. At the same time, people who possess various special abilities emerged, and the night sky was altered. The stars disappeared, replaced by fake stars which correspond to those people with special powers. However, the cost of gaining those abilities is the loss of human emotion. Kept secret from the knowledge of the masses, these individuals able to murder in cold blood are known as Contractors. Various nations around the world use Contractors as spies and agents, often resulting in violent battles for information.

Hei is sent to Tokyo under the guise of an ordinary Chinese student, Li Shunsheng, but is really a Contractor working for an unnamed organization. His Messier code, or star number, is BK201. Hei fights against other Contractors with unpredictable abilities while carrying out missions and gathering information for his Agency.

Thanx for joiing Mori and yeah the releases have been slow even in the case of pseudonym . I dont use pseudonym though I watch with mishicorp and archeive with shinsen . I have a 19 inch monitor so well h264 do not make that big of diffrence to me .

I want to join as well ^^ it's the only anime I've been following lately(now that death note has ended T__T) I really loved the mysteries in the show. Hei, Yin, Mao.. everyone is a mystery there. And even though the show is made up of two episoded arcs so far, they are still quite good. Once the animators get into the one major story, the series will be even more exciting.

As a side note, the next arc is about Yin that I can say it will be pretty interesting, even without actually seeing it ^^ And just to visualize what I talked about:

DBT is actually just an anime. But a manga was adapted from it recently. I heard that the manga story is different than the anime story, and I'm not sure but i think only a few chapters have been released so far, or maybe just one. :p

Just watched the final episode of this series and I don't know but I guess I'll have to check out all the episodes in a row because that would be better to understand then.

That's sad, I was hoping for at least 50 episodes or so, since I never felt that the story really kicked off. (I'm currently at ep 19 though.)

Yeah..25 episodes from the beginning and I also felt that the show was too slow-paced most of the time...it was kinda weird..and I still don't understand the ending, but then again, I should just watch it in probably one go..with the filler epis out of it ofcourse;)

I finished the series yesterday. I agree, I'm so gonna miss this anime. But contrary to what I've seen most, I really loved the ending. Watching the last 5 episodes non-stop might have helped. There are so many unanswered questions but I think it was a proper ending for sch a mysterios story ^^ I heard that there will be an ova but I'm really not that hopeful for those questions to be answered such as "how and why did the gate appear", "how can one become a contractor", Is Hei going to hook up with Kirihara or Yin :p etc...

Well, overall, it was such a good series, I really hope that there will be a 2nd season. One can hope!

i really loved this series and im so sad it ended so early..im desperately hoping there will be a second season so we can get at least some answers..
i loved the action, although the fight scenes were all a little short, and of course hei was just awsome!
