I hope it's the end of Grimmjow in the next chapter! *squees* I don't hate him or anything, but I seriously want this fight to be over and gosh, Ichigo was so cool... Power up! Woo! :D But looking at Grimmjow and then his eye made me tear up a bit... flashbacks are evil.

Great posts, Jhaxe and Primera Espada. So in a way it never really was about Ichigo losing his chocolate, it's about Grimmjow finding his. Love this chapter!

I read that it´ll be a double issue with some new color pages! ^_^
I´m really looking forward to it!

I also hope that Grimmjow won´t die, but actually I can´t imagine
that KT will kill off such a great character.
If so however, he will surely die in an epic, remarkable way,
so that his fans won´t be too mad at KT! XD

Ohhh, this chapter came out really cool. The panels are beautiful.

I'm really glad Orihime got shown at the end of Ichigo's "i can has friends after i kick ur butt lolz' speech, I hope knowing that Ichigo does in fact care about what happens to her, and that Ichigo is thinking about the safety of his friends even while smiting helps to reassure Orihime as to her place among Ichigo and Co. and makes her less apprehensive about the situation with her friends. It's OK, Orihime, they're all thinking about you! >_<;

maybe grimmjow didn't eat them so they didn't turn back into gillian.
anyway i have actually been liking this fight between grimmjow and ichigo. i think its mainly cos they're mostly fighting phisically which is way better to watch atleast i think. plus ichgo and grimmjow do look cool in theor released forms too. i guess it's gonna be over next chapter though.

I don't believe Grimm devoured them. He probably said he'll devour them, but not right at that time. You know he's all tough talk but really is just a softy inside. I think that's why he kept insisting that Ichigo is like him. He wanted to show that he's all tough and must kill everyone and figured Ichigo must be the same. Ichigo told Grimmjow what he wanted to hear, that he did come there to fight, but he showed the difference between them that he was fighting to protect those he cares for. That's why Ichigo did a roll call of his friends and and this affected Grimmjow. He remembered his own companions, those who offered themselves as food for him to become stronger. It was a realization that Ichigo became stronger because he chose to protect, that he fights to protect. As Primera Espada said, it's not because Ichigo is like Grimm (live to fight alone), but that Grimm is like (or needs to become) like Ichigo (live to fight to protect everyone). Here's to Grimm living so he can live up to "if you can't beat Ichigo, join him" theme of Bleach.

I don't know. When he is saying those things, we can see an image of D-Roy being attacked and Grimmjow on the bottom part of the page with blood in his mouth.

Based on what Shawlong said, I'm pretty sure he and the other were Adjuchas already.
And Grimmjow devoured them >__< I REALLY need to see the third parte of the flashback next chapter.
How Aizen took the Gillian Five inside Grimmjow's belly? And how they became Gillian again?

Nah, they were gillian working their way upwards...they were close to becoming adjucha class but apparently still ranked as gillian (Nakim was apparently less evolved as he just looked like a menos grande with arms legs and a different mask)

Grimm didn't eat them, they were his friends.....He probably promised he'd find a way for all of them to get stronger....And so they removed their masks..

I'm pretty sure they were Adjuchas already (probably not Nakim).
Shawlong realized they were destined to be just Adjuchas, and he says it after Ilfort saying they had already reached the maximum of their evolution.

Their maximum = Adjuchas. They had already reached their maximum = they were Adjuchas.

I'm quite moved about this chapter, and I also started to feel as if Grimmjow won't die. At least I hope he won't. The thing that he gets quite a development now would make his death such a waste, in my opinion. He's full of potential, I tell you. He can become a Vasto Lorde. . .and the protector of love and peace. XD *ahem* . . .I'm anticipating the next chapter and also, at the same time, worried (= prepared for GJ's death if that were to happen, but at this point I somehow doubt it).

I mean that the loss of his companions seemed to mean more to him than what we were first shown. It really seems as though he was affected by Ichigo's words. Eh...But didn't Ichigo and his friends...kinda...KILL all of Grimmjow's companions......That would make me want to get stronger and cut his throat in the war more than it would make me want to join him........

Yes, they did, but it was Grimmjow who took them there; Grimmjow and his companions who invaded the Karakura Town. It's not like Grimmjow should avenge the death of his companions. Shinigami are supposed to fight against the Arrancar. Ichigo and co were the ones under the attack that time, he didn't make the first move to attack Grimmjow and his companions. They were defending themselves and each other from the Arrancar.

Maybe Grimmjow feels a little bit guilty for taking them with him to attack Karakura? :confused: Who knows, but he just might.

Still, I'm not leaving out the possibility of him also staying in Hueco Mundo, but if he does, I have a feeling that he'd still feel lonely.

I'm sure he feels guilty....but that wouldnt excuse ichigo and his crew from murdering Grimmjow's friends...Its not like "Hey man, you killed my team but no hard feelings its my fault" lol

it would be the same had DeiRoy killed Chad....The arrancar were there to slaughter anyone with reiatsu, but its not like ichigo would have forgiven him....

That's not what I meant. ;) I didn't say he completely blames himself for it, but that maybe he's partly taking the blame. I only meant that I think that he doesn't hold an endless grudge towards Ichigo and his team. Grimmjow might feel somewhat bitter about it, but it's not like he'll hate Ichigo forever because of it. . .I dunno, but that's how I feel.

I find it really hard to be sad for someone who asked for having all his subordinates to be killed when they tried to murder people. However, I do think the way the author is adding dimension to Grims character is very interesting. Makes him feel more real, rather then just a psychotic murder machine.

@ .access timeco. - I doubt Grimmykitten ate them. OK, so one could get that feeling from the shot of him with his mouth all bloody, but... why would Aizen bother re-create average Adjucha hollows? Unless they came in one package, which I doubt. >__>

I'd say...

...the next moment after they had that conversation Aizen popped up with the Hougyoku yelling "EUREKA! :nuts"

But I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't ate them. As a friend of mine said, maybe Grimmjow ate a part of himself to prove that the fact you can't evolve anymore is not an excuse (although this would be strange, taking his words in account)

Perhaps it's too obvious but ... how could he have eaten them if they were still around after this scene to be made into Arrancar?

Deeroy's head bandage is from that first bit, but there's no wounds on any of the others. And they apparently can't heal those parts that were bitten off.

Kubo better do the third part of this next week :D

So, I think that Shawlong, Ilfort and Edorad were adjuca.
But D-Roy and Nakim were only gillian (Nakim is not much different from a Menos Grande; and D-Roy is so big and underdeveloped..)

By the way, this puts Hitsugaya, Renji and Ikkaku bankai powers, under a different light. Knowing that the opponents they killed were adjucas and not gillians, makes a big differences.

And also, seems more plausible that D-Roy and Nakim were killed by just shikai, unlike the others.

Good, point with shikai killing Droy and Nakim. They were for sure weak. I still don't know. Aizen said they were all gillian. And all Shawlong said was that they weren't going to stay at the gillian and adjucas level, that they were going to raise to vastrodes, not that they all were gillians and adjuca. I'm going with Aizen, that they were all gillians.

Maybe the size thing is what is throwing people off. In the current chapters they all are much bigger then what they are after being arrancarized, including shawlong.

@air: well yeah it's true that it puts them in a different light if they beat an adjuuchas class arrancar, but the shinigami admitted themselves that the arrancar were pretty much stronger and actually would've won if they fought with fullstrength in the beginning (and not gaining the advantage of the limit-release surprise-element)

and about the shikai thingy, i don't know if anyone would've managed to kill the gillianarrancar off with just any 'shikai', don't forget it was hinted that matsumoto was close at gaining her bankai :O but I don't know about rukia though T___T;;

Gillians aren't too strong to begin with since Captain Class Shinigami don't break a sweat killing one and Adjuucas are supposed to be Liuetenent class anyways. Becoming an Arrancar does give you more strenght but it still depends on what Menos level they once were.

Rukia's Shikai is fairly developed. I wouldn't stretch it to "she's close to Bankai", but she does already have 3 shikai attacks, which is I daresay more than most Vice Captains have. ^__^

So while she's probably not as good as Matsumoto, her killing D-Roy with just shikai is not much of a surprise, I guess. It's one good, good Shikai.
