List/Describe any anime that you think was better than the manga it was adapted from.

YuYu Hakusho- the anime (both dub/original) was much better than the manga

i've actually hard otherwise about YYH, except that the ending sucked because the manga ends abruptly.

S-CRY-ed is a much better anime than the manga. The dub sucks, the sub is good.
Cowboy Bebop is a much better anime than the manga. Coincidently it's one of the best dubs :>

Heard the Ghost Hunt Anime makes more sence then the manga

InuYasha- for what the anime covers i find it much more enjoyable (the manga goes so slowly)

@ezxx- I've heard that too, but to me the manga's art is average whereas the anime is amazing and the YYH dub is among the best dub's ever. I agree with Cowboy Bebop, great show.

If the director or the animation studio doesn't screw up the anime , they are better than the respective manga . I always enjoyed animated moving pictures than plain ole still pictures

Watching the anime is more enjoyable but the same story seems like it loses something when it gets adapted into an anime from the manga.

Spiral- the manga and anime were really different and although the anime just ends with no real conclusion I still think it's better.

Definitely Mai Hime. From what I have read of the manga, I am quite glad they changed the the story for the anime. That story would have sucked hardcore. I more then likely would have stopped watching it. Not only the story, the characters look much better then they do in the manga. Sunrise ftw.

FLCL. Lol. I've seen the manga, and it doesn't live up to the anime. But the anime was first, right?

Im not a huge anime fan, so I havent seen that many animes, but the ones I've seen I've always found their manga counterparts better.

But even though I've read only one chapter, the Darker than Black manga seems inferior to the anime. But like I said, I've only read one chapter so it might get better later on.

Honestly, execpt in rare cases where one is supremely better, that's what it really does come down to: which one you prefer/liked more.

See me I'm the oppisite. I'm not a huge manga fan. I prefer anime. There is music, movement, colors, voices that makes it superior to manga, for me that is.

Anyways, I agree about FLCL and Death Note. This is only from what I have seen from the manga of those, which isn't very much. Would also like to Full Metal Panic. If just looks so much better the manga. KyoAni ftw. I think the story is about the same for the main series.

really? wow I always thought that the Dragon Ball manga was much better than the anime (since I find the anime to be a little draggy xD)

oooh.. I'm the opposite lol! I like both but I prefer the mangas since the art is more personnalized and we get to know the author better also... plus the possibilities of mini-omakes you woudn't see in anime like radio-kon and the mini-sketch series we see sometimes (hanatarou for example)... but that's what you'd usually find in volumes and not in scanlations... and that paragraph applies only if the manga artist is the actual author of the work ;)

I'll always go with the original version while I consider the adaptation to be just a mere copy of it ;) (and normally Mangas are turned Anime most of the times :p)

I had a feeling that Shadoblak would agree with me on YYH.

well of course....the anime had such good lines and execution......While the manga artwise went from holy crap thats cool to I could draw that in my sleep....

I started out with the YYH dub and then read VIZ's translation (which is really off) of the manga. The difference between those is mindblowing.

It's odd to see an Anime with artwork better than the original manga's, but then again quality artwork is always a personal opinion.

Ranma 1/2. Did I forget to say Ranma 1/2? You can't not love the show. The manga is ugly by comparison.

I agree with Ranma 1/2, and I think that author has/had the same problems with InuYasha. The InuYasha anime was decent but the manga is ugly and extremely slow

Fullmetal Alchemist FTW.
They totally altered and got rid of the manga plotlines in the anime and still managed to churn out a damn awesome anime.

Cowboy Bebop easily. I also liked the YYH anime a whole lot more than I liked the manga.
