Guys... If any of you know... may I ask, what is the point of making different versions of FCs? =/ I think it's better/easier to have one thread, but maybe that's just me. Or I'm just used to the Naruto forums. :P
Yeah like Nocturne said, all threads with 1000 posts have to be closed and a new one started. I think the reason is because opening up large threads like that really drains forum resources, so it's better to just start a new one when it gets that big.

How do I feel about chapter 285? I love it! Why? Because Ichigo proved that he came there to fight to protect his friends, especially Orihime (that's why her name is in BIG, BOLD, BOMBASTIC letters 'cause he shouted it out to make a point that last certainly ain't least in his book. XD). As Danna said in his posts earlier, Ichigo would have gone to HM alone to save Orihime as he said in chapter 238. To those who think he went there just to fight is totally fooling themselves just to make themselves feel better. :D

Also, chapter 284-285 is really more about Grimmjow than it is about Ichigo. Grimmjow wanted Ichigo to admit that he's there just to fight. Ichigo pretty much said, "okay you want me to admit I came here to fight? Fine, I came here to fight BUT my reasons are to protect my friends." That roll call is what sets Ichigo apart from Grimmjow. Ichigo showed Grimmjow that they are not really alike because he fights to protect where as Grimmjow fights just to fight. It's when Grimmjow realized he's been going it all wrong, that Ichigo isn't really like him, but that he is like (or should be like) Ichigo. As Primera Espada said in his awesome post at the manga thread, you can't be king when you're alone. Grimmjow saw from Ichigo's roll call is that he's a "king" because of his friends. Grimmjow lost his, is therefore alone and can't ever be king. Compare Ichigo's purpose to coming to HM (to save Orihime - and later the rest of his friends) to Grimmjow's purpose when he went into the real world with his fraccion. In the end all of Grimm's companions were dead. He doesn't have a roll call of his own to make, he doesn't have subjects to rule over. His fraccion were the ones who wanted him to be their king and they were now gone. Ichigo's roll call totally made Grimm realize that. It emphasized to Grimm what a true king does.

I think that's why it's important that people don't just read Bleach like it was a romance book else they miss out on things like Grimm's awesome character development. Also, I think people are trying too hard to prove that Ichigo really didn't come to save Orihime. Sorry, but Ichigo's actions have proved over and over that his first priority especially in this fight was Orihime. If he was anything like Grimmjow, he wouldn't have bothered saving Orihime 3 times in one fight alone. That's why Grimmjow couldn't understand why Ichigo would absorb 5 of his elbow missiles just to protect Orihime. Grimmjow wanted Ichigo to say at the beginning of their fight that Ichigo is like him. Ichigo, by his actions, kept proving him otherwise.

That said, the other thing I do love about the chapter is seeing Orihime there again for the umpteenth time. Seriously, Kubo could have made all Ichigo's fights like in SS and not have the damsel-in-distress witness any of his major fights. But this is one heck of a major fight and Orihime was in every single chapter of it all. What is the purpose of Kubo having Orihime in there at all times? What is the significance of Orihime being the first to see Ichigo fight with his mask on? Even Byakuya hasn't witnessed Ichigo at his most powerful. Orihime is the only one who has. This is really turning out to be one heck of a reunion! I don't think Ichigo will be battling anybody else like this when he and Orihime goes to rescue Chad and Rukia. He deserves a break.

Anyway, least we now know why Kubo just made Orihime just stand there. She's there to give Ichigo his major power up that will ensure his win. I don't think Ichigo would have been inspired to win had she not been there at all.

BTW, you guys think Ichigo will still have a remnant of his mask on at the end of this fight. It will be cool for Orihime to see him face to face with it. Having one eye still black/yellow and the other his normal gorgeous brown ones.

Hey, thanks, Peachilicious, Hime-chan, Lady O, Mz D, Avi for the reps, and responses to my post about chapter 285. What can I say, I was inspired by the chapter and the hope that Grimmjow lives. That's what I love about Bleach, the story and the characters that Kubo created. Pairings are just for fun and I'm glad we have not lost sight of that fact.

Anyway, what are you guys looking forward to in the next chapter? I've already said I want to see Ichigo and Orihime have a sweet moment together, probably staring into each other's eyes. But I agree with Mz D that comedy would be a welcome change. So yeah, I want Nell to just get annoyed and tell Ichigo to kiss Orihime already. Or even say that he can lose his virginity to Orihime. XD Sigh, still love that Kubo decided to have Nell be close to Ichigo first and now Orihime. Another tie that binds. XD

Lastly, thanks for the scans of the doujins, Lady O! You spoil us with so much goodies!

I like the part where Orihime and Ririn talk. I'm not really a big fan of the mod souls, but this made me like Ririn a bit. I like how Ririn said everyone knows about Orihime's feelings for Ichigo. Then she called Ichigo an idiot for being clueless about it. XD

4th scene: Orihime is happy that Jidanbou is healed and offers to race Ririn to the top of the gate he opened cos there is a nice view from up there.

5th scene: On top of the gate Ririn asks Orihime why she likes Ichigo. Inoue is all shocked and wonders why suddenly she would ask such a thing, Ririn answers that only that idiot Ichigo doesn't know yet that she likes him. So Ririn asks what exactly it is that makes her like him and Orihime says she used to be scared of him and his eyebrows but after the fight with her brother she saw a calmness in Kurosaki that she never saw before, it has the lecture Ichigo gives about what an older brother is meant to do (protect his younger siblings no matter what). And she then comments on how she saw him at the Don Kanonji event and that he said he just came for his family. She said it's nice of him and he said it is normal. Orihime says she felt herself change being around him and when she went with him to save Rukia she felt she was just getting in the way being a burden but she had to be near Kurosaki anyway. Then she says she doesn't know why she is babbling about it and Ririn tells her it is ok and Inoue thanks her.

Significance!! I'm not being biased, I hope . . . but they do look similar. The only difference is that Ichigo's smile to seems to look a little more convincing (thats why it fools Michiru, Mizuiro, and Keigo), while the other looks like he is having a hard time faking it. Even Mizuiro who had been fooled by his smile before notices that its not genuine.

Ah I agree as well. It would be a good plot tie in if Ichigo did take Orihime on a date with the tickets. (It would be brilliant for me as December 5th is my birthday!)

So I totally think that there were lots of hints about how upset Ichigo was that his friend Orihime was taken. It's maybe a start for him to realise just how important she is to him. (Because of course before that he had no clue! >_<)

Great find, Lady O! Yeah, I vote for significance as well. As batz said, Ichigo looked awful! Losing Orihime not only made him have a sleepless night (shown by the circles under his eyes), it affected his attitude so much so that his friends couldn't help but notice. Without Orihime, Ichigo's smile was affected, he didn't greet his friends like he normally would, he wasn't excited about tickets Mizuiro gave him, he also lied to his friends about Orihime, wouldn't share anything about Orihime's whereabouts, he just wanted to push them away. Ichigo is not the same without Orihime and his friends knew it.

That said, I agree with silhouette that the Bad Shield 2 tickets were meant as a foreshadowing. It will be the most awesome thing for Ichigo and Orihime to have their first date there.

Gosh, it's been forever since I made a decent post in my own thread! XD

Well kiddies, today I have an interesting topic.

Out of random curiosity yesterday, I found a LJ site (http://chirachira.livejournal.com/103520.html) that had all of the Bleach manga poems that go with each book, the pictures that go with each, and the SOULS and VIBES poems and pics. And it got me thinking.

I'm going to be talking about the SOULS and VIBES books, for the most part, but other things will be mentioned as well. ^^

I decided to bring this up because the Ss/Vs books have always been taken as harcore "romantic" canon for Ichigo and Rukia, and while I see where romance might be able to come in...my own logical reasoning made me think heavily otherwise. I've come to think that while the Ss/Vs books have only Ichigo and Rukia on the covers (they were, at the time, the main male/female leads) they both also connect heavily to Orihime, and have continuously throughout Bleach.

And the strangest, if not perhaps the most hilarious thing of all, is that whenever I try to find that ONE thing to support what I'm talking about, I always end up finding SO MUCH MORE along with it! XDDD

First off, I guess I should start with the basics, and quote the 2 poems each from the SOULS/VIBES books.

Titles
SOULS:
The rain drags black sun down,
VIBES:
But the rain dried by white moon.

I don't think it's strange to say that YES, Rukia helped Ichigo dry the rain in his life. I mean...she IS the White Moon, and it says pretty clearly that the rain dried by it. Does this make it "romantic"? Hell no. It would be a definate possibility if Ichigo and Rukia had anything even remotely romantic to go by, but the fact is that they don't. It just means she helped him dry the rain in his life. That's what friends do for each other, ya know? They look out for each other.

I wish I could say this was fact, but unfortunately it's mere speculation: I think Rukia dried up the rain that was plagueing his life at that time. I've wondered (and *I* think it's true, at least^^) if the rain came back the day Orihime was captured and Ichigo found out about it? I can't really confirm it or anything, but Zangetsu did say that whenever Ichigo was sad, it rained (in his inner world). It's quite clear that Ichigo was heavily distressed after Orihime's capture.

(lol, for the most part, knowning the names of their attacks really doesn't amount to much in my point, lol, but I wanted ppl to know them all anyway! XD These few paragraphs below are serious rambling, so don't give them too much attention, thanks! :D:p;) )

So in a way, Ichigo and Rukia are connected in their "moon" attacks, and Ichigo and Orihime are connected in that Ichigo ALSO has a "heaven" related attack, and Orihime's powers are all associated with Heaven...3 times...just like Rukia and Ichigo have 3 attacks... XD

So whooh! Once again, it's all OriIchiRuki FTW. **is shot**

In regard to the poems themselves, and how they connect to Orihime, Ichigo supposedly "locks Heaven" (which is odd because Urahara says that Ichigo gave Orihime and Chad the KEYS to open their powers...so is this saying that Ichigo is still holding back something from Orihime without knowing?) And Rukia's poem can also be re-worded as "The moon erases the night" (becuz that's the literal translation...). The "night" reminds me of HM, so it makes sense that Rukia wants to eclipse/erase the night for Orihime. She basically screamed as much right before she "died" anyway. ^_^

Now, logically, why people put the White Moon <--> Black Sun (in a romantic context) is beyond me. It just doesn't make sense. Period.

Ichigo (Black Sun) is incomplete without his other "name" (Black Moon) and Rukia (White Moon) AND Ichigo (Black Sun) are incomplete without Orihime (a Sun!!!)

It's strange how Rukia represents the White Moon, Orihime the (Light of the) Sun, and Ichigo represents both the Sun and Moon, only rather than the "light" of each, he's the Black Sun/Moon.

Combinations:

White Moon <--> Sun

Rukia <--> Orihime (the moon shines because of the Sun, which reminds me of Rukia's speech after fighting the 9th Espada, and her great friendship with Orihime)

Black Moon <--> White Moon

Connected/one and the same, but polar opposites, and BOTH need the
light or lack of light from the SUN to complete each other. (Ichigo <--> Orihime (connecting them all) <-->Rukia)

Black Sun <--> Sun

Connected/one and the same. Unique in that it's the SAME sun, being eclipsed by the moon. ^^ (Ichigo to Rukia (connecting them all) to Orihime)

Black Moon <--> Sun

The sun's light doesn't reach the moon. (Common Orihime to Ichigo)

Eclipse because the full moon moves into the Earth's shadow. This sounds like the GrimmIchi fight3 where Ichigo falls into the shadows of his hollow without his Sun, Orihime^^ (So it's subtle Ichigo to Orihime)

Impossible (alone). You can't logically have a combination of both, without the original Sun. The WHITE MOON can eclipse the SUN (which LOL makes it sound like Rukia's blocking Orihime's path of light from reaching Ichigo XDDD) to achieve a BLACK SUN. And a WHITE MOON isn't possible in the first place without the SUN. Which brings us back to the fact thatit's all IchiHimeRuki connected/related.

So really, in all of these possible equasions...RukiHime the most canon ship in Bleach to date still pwns all is the only combination that doesn't need Ichigo. But any equasion with Ichigo needs both Rukia and Orihime, except the BlackMoon/Sun combinations, which really reminds me of volume 19. **romantic sigh**

Well, there's ALWAYS been tons and tons of Orihime --> Ichigo hints. In the first 70 chapters alone I could probably have at least 15 blatant ones. Even though a lot were taken out of the anime, there are still quite a few (though I've heard the anime is more Ichigo --> Orihime! :rotflmao). In the manga, the Ichigo --> Orihime "hints" are waaaay more subtle, like the way he treats her gentler then all his other friends and stuff like that. However, I think the most solid "hint" was right after the Ichigo v Byakuya fight when Ichigo gives his girl that adorable, soft look:love It's sure not one he give out to any other girls in the series! XD

Meh, if you really don't like the neg rep(s) you get, then you should just calmly ask a mod to get rid of them, and not make a bigger deal of it. Using neg reps of all things to be nasty to somebody who shares a different view from you is LOL worthy, cuz you can't get much lower than that on a forum. Seriously, if you don't like what a person says, why not just SKIP OVER IT? It truly isn't that hard to do. You just scroll down and whaola, you skipped over it. It makes me wonder about people who neg rep what kind of lives they lead in real life. o_o;;

Anywho, I cant wait until the RAWS are out and all that jazz. This chapter, while I'm still not 100% sold cuz of Noitora (though I'm getting there at about 96%), is gonna be awesome! XD

I'm happy and sad with the chapter. I'm happy even if Orihime is being used as a sack of potatoes (there's a lot more body contact than with the briefcase way>>) and I'm sad that Noitora showed up. Even though I thought Grimm was going to die I was hoping for Ichigo to knock him out and later he was killed.

I just hope Ichigo leaves quickly before the fight starts. He had no quarrel with Ulquiorra before he heard about Inoue. So maybe he'll leave Spoon head before he hears about Chad. (We know he would fight him if he heard about Chad.)

LMAO!!! Soooooo true! But in the case with actually holding Rukia, it's like, she was hanging hundreds of feet in the air...if Ichigo hadn't held her, she would have dropped and splattered on the ground, o_O so like, what else was Ichi supposed to do?! In this chapter, it's the same idea (Ichigo has to get the girl down from high up), but Ichigo didn't have to put her over his shoulder caveman style without warning, and KT didn't have to throw in that LOVELY scene showing Ichigo grabbing Orihime's waist. I'm sure he could have very well just asked Orihime to hold onto his side, held onto her, then jumped down that way. Hey, was so busy at work today that I only had chance to squee once or twice over at FLOL before I had to get back to business. I was able to read over everyone's comments on the chapter and I totally am squeeing like the rest of you. Anyway, this is my take on the chapter which I already posted at FLOL. Might as well share it here.

After reading the scanlation from mangashare, my love for the chapter multiplied. I'll begin with the ending of Ichigo's fight with Grimm. That's an example of Ichigo thumbing his nose up at Doldonie's advice. Leave his chocolate? He doesn't have to. He won this fight because he was chock full of chocolate. It's funny, when chapter 285 came out, people elsewhere commented on how Ichigo just came to HM to fight those who harmed his friends. He's out for revenge. He wanted to fight Grimm because he punched a hole in Rukia's stomach. For someone who's supposed to have a vendetta, he sure has a lot of compassion towards the one who hurt his friend. Where's the fire of revenge burning in Ichigo's eyes? I don't see any. All I see are eyes full of compassion for a fellow fighter who wants to be king like him. Ichigo understands Grimmjow, likes him enough to want to fight him over and over. Ichigo wants fight buddy and Grimm's it. XD

That said, I do think that Grimmjow was sliced in half. Yeah I know the pic doesn't look conclusive, but still. That said, I have a feeling that Orihime's going to heal him. She witnessed Ichigo show compassion for Grimm, even heard him not mind fighting Grimm again and again in the future. Even though Grimm hurt Ichigo, he still wanted him to live. That's something Orihime understands. She's got a lot of capacity for compassion herself. She healed Loly/Menoly even after they hurt her repeatedly. She also owes Grimmjow for saving her from being beat up anymore by Loly/Menoly. It would be fitting if after she heals Grimm, he'll ask why and she replies, "For the face". So I'll put my hope in that. Whatever happens, I want Grimm to live to fight Ichigo another day.

I still can't get enough of Ichigo and Orihime's interaction in this chapter, along with Nell. I loved how Ichigo asked how Orihime was. Weren't there people saying how Ichigo didn't even care to ask how Orihime was back in chapter 277? Well there's Ichigo's "how are you" and he looked mighty handsome and sweet while asking. Loved how his eyes softened as it always does only for Orihime, love how there's no trace of a scowl all because of Orihime. Page 6 is all Orihime and Ichigo staring at each other, smiling at each other. That's got romance written all over it. Also Kubo having Nell interrupt Ichigo and Orihime's moment like that totally implied that there was a moment. You don't ruin a moment between friends, but you do ruin a moment between friends who want to be more than friends. It was funny how Nell was lecturing Ichigo about a lady's weight. That's like straight out of the book on "How to Be a Good Boyfriend" or something 'cause we know Nell wants Ichigo to be a good boyfriend for Orihime.

I also love how Orihime is so totally adorable and back to her bubbly self in front of Ichigo. I love how she's totally absorbed in explaining how she's sturdy and never got sick and didn't even notice Ichigo's hands at her waist. I love that pic. I love Ichigo's hands at her waist. It's so...possessive and absolutely intimate. You know you can look at that pic another way, think of it as Ichigo laying Orihime down on a mattress and she's excited 'cause Ichigo's about to make love to her, or Ichigo just made her come. XDDDD

Finally, yes Ichigo totally touched her butt while his face was pressed along it. Ichigo you perv you! Top panel of page 9 you can clearly see Ichigo's chin pressed up against her butt based on the crease on her costume. Love the fact that her waist is perfectly pressed against Ichigo's neck, her stomach pressed against his shoulders, her boobs touching his back, her thighs against his chest. That's a lot of body contact. Ichigo is getting a more intimate knowledge of Orihime's assets this way than if he were to carry her bridal style. I also like that in page 10, you can see how he's settling Orihime down last after letting go of Nell. What makes it even sexier is that he's letting her slide down against his body, not lifting her off his shoulders and settling her down. No, sliding her down his body. Ichigo, you're more like Isshin than you know!:inlove

They'd have to speak up if their opinions differ from mine, though (which is very likely; I can't speak for everyone).

It's not that we're hiding in this FC... it's just that what we say (some of us) isn't liked by a lot of people because they say we're biased... even if we were just to comment about Ichigo carrying Inoue. *shrugs* So I prefer to just talk about it here... Yeah I agree Starry, I don't want to post my thoughts on the chapter especially when it's IchiHime first. I try to keep my chapter opinions in the main forums pretty general and I don't comment about Ichigo and Orihime being together. I hate "debating" about pairings as it's really down to interpretation and personal opinion.

But I do love the last what.... 10 chapters, so much IchiHime love. (from one fangirl perspective anyway!) I can't wait to see all the pretty banners and Icons that are going to come from the latest chapter.:inlove
