I'm surprised no one made this earlier. Welcome to this FC of the widely known and widely popular game series, Devil May Cry, which has also been made into an anime that lasts for 12 episodes. The video game series currently has the 4th game on its way.
The series' protagonist is Dante Sparda, half man, half demon, who's known for his supernatural abilities. He hunts down demons as his job.

I want to draw much too. . .maybe a bit too much. I have so many plans for future drawings. I would like to draw: Bleach characters, Final Fantasy characters, Dante, One Piece stuff, and the list goes on. . .
And I have copic markers, but I don't have the kind of paper which is good for them. I would like to draw something and then colour it with copics. ^_^ I have to get the paper first though. >: Oh and also, I would like to have a tablet! But some of them are quite expensive. . .

I just own one single copic marker (Baby Skin Pink; to color skin)! >_>
But I intend to buy more of them, though I´ve no special paper for copics neither....
But I´ve other quality paper for watercolors etc. and lots of sketch blocks, which I use to draw my sketches on (kinda obvious).
A tablet; I´ve just a rather cheap one....>_>
I use it just for acrylic colours and colourful ink!
I´m now looking after episode 3(Kuro-Hana).

I was quite disappointed;

Meiyara it's pitty that the anime will last only for 12 episodes!Don't you agree?
Oh, yes that´s really a pity;
and as far as I´ve watched the episodes,
I wasn´t really content with the fiends, monsters and yoma.
They were rather lame imo -__-
Well, if you´ve played the games then
you expect bigger bosses and such, so
I hope we´ll get to see some relly great akuma
which Dante will have to deal with a longer time
than just one hit with his sword -_-
And regarding your other question about the release date:
I´ll have to inform me first; I´m not up to date,
but I´ll see what I can find! :)

I don't think the monsters etc were lame. But maybe it's because I haven't played the games yet. XDD Maybe I'll find them lame as soon as I get to play the games, who knows. . . :rolleyes: And it would've been nicer if the anime lasted for more than 12 episodes. >.<
Yeah, Nama if you get to see the monsters in the games,
you´ll soon find the akumas in the anime a bit lame...XD
There´re such great bosses in the game, so you need
to shoot them without intermission; that´s why the yoma in
the anime appear a bit lame for me, because Dante just needs
to hit them once or twice; but well, it´s getting better, I
hope as long as the "plot" progresses! ^_^

He fights with a sword and has this special demon
glove/ hand.

I watched one of the trailers featuring Nero, before watching it I was under the impression that he's a bad guy. But I guess not, lol. Then I went and watched Dante's game play video from the official site of Devil May Cry 4. I love the way he moves, hehe. I'm looking forward to the game, but I have to play the first three parts first. XD . . .and then wait for the 4th one to be released.
However, Nero looks much like Dante. I even first thought it was him. XD

Yeah, one of my friends told me that DMC 1 is great. So dmc's time line goes: DMC3, DMC1, DMC4 then DMC2? is that right?

Yeah, Nero looks a lot like Dante.....I think they can´t bear each
other in the beginning of the game (they´re fighting against each other), but actually Nero is on the good side, because well...you can play him.

I don't think that was all of them. XD Anyway, what do you think? Which would be good? I'd appreciate if you told me what you think. :)
And her outfit. . .At first, I thought it'd be leather as DMC 1's Dante's outfit, but then I changed my mind and decided that dark blue denim outfit would be nice. Also, it has lots of buckles like Dante's. xD Her shoes are long boots and instead of pants, she wears a somewhat short skirt.
Her appearance: Has brown eyes and long dark brown hair (like me *cough*), has somewhat big boobs XDD (like me. . . *coughcough* but not too big! lol), etc. etc.

Rain and Storm/ Thunder reminds me of the possible names for the FF Versus XIII character with the blue hair and red eyes! If you didn´t know yet (because you didn´t play the games): Dante's guns are called Ebony & Ivory. Maybe you could relate it somehow to his two guns? But I also like Life and Death/ Birth (reminds me of the NGE movie ^^), Death and Rebirth would be my proposal. Sun and Moon is somehow related to the symbology used for Rukia and Ichigo (that is why I´d like it of course as well =D).
I can´t decide yet, but I´d personally favour Death and Rebirth
or Rain and Thunder, because Dante has a similar attack with
his guns in DMC 3 (Thunder Rain), so there´s be a very good analogy! :)
A blue denim outfit sounds great!
In DMC 2 you can dress up Dante and Lucia with
Diesel wear and it looks good on both of them! ^^

The best weapons in dmc 3 for me are: Ebony and Ivory,Rebelion and Ignis and Rudra!!Yours?
Yeah, Ebony and Ivory of course, Rebellion, Beowulf,
Cerberus and Ignis/ Rudra ==> DMC 3 (I didn´t like Nevan so much,
because I couldn´t handle it so well)
DMC 1 = Sparda (:yell I love this sword), Alastor and Ifrit! :)
DMC 2 = I don´t have a clue about this game anymore...:rolleyes:

How did you like the newest Harry Potter? "The Order of the Phoenix", was it? I haven't watched it, but I've been hearing that it's good. But I've only seen "the Prisoner of Azkaban" and "the Philosopher's Stone". I've never read the books though.

I watched the episode, I like it. I don't know why, but sometimes Dante's comments make me smile/laugh. He's a funny guy. <3 XD I've heard that he's funny in the games too, especially in the third one.
Yeah, I noticed that the hotel receptionist was there. I'm looking forward to see what he's up to. As for the drawing of my OC, I think I'm going to start that all over again. The paper is a little rumpled. :/ But fortunately, I hadn't drawn too much on it.

Yeah, it´s definitely because he´s older.
It´s quite a huge difference between the Dante in DMC 1 and 2,
because he´s a lot more serious, mature and calm; when I first played DMC 3 I was at first really surprised.
But well, I like both personalities of him, but I first had to get used to a funny, outgoing Dante.

If I knew how to colour with Photoshop, yes. Maybe I really should start to practice it! Damn me and my procrastinating. XD I also wish I could get a tablet and paper which is good for copic markers. . .I'm tired of using just a pencil. >.<;; So if I get that kind of paper, I might draw another one and try to colour it with copics. :)

I follow the anime series (casually, at the moment). I've downloaded all the episodes up to the current but have only watched the first and third so far.
I played (and still play) all the games. I fully clocked DMC 1 and DMC 3...and am still struggling to reach DMD Mode on DMC 2...
I like Dante's outfit from DMC 2 the most...and Dante from that game looks better than he does in the other two IMHO.
My fav. characters...Dante and Lucia, hehe. I am not too fond of Nero at all (just because I've had the feeling, ever since he appeared, that he is stealing the spotlight). I love imitating Vergil from DMC 3.
My favourite boss fight is Dante versus Mundus 1 and 2 in DMC 1. How about you two?
Good fan arts too...I collected a hoard of DMC fan art but they're all on my other computer in another city at the minute.

The first one I played was the original Devil May Cry 3...the hard one...
I was halfway through hard mode when my friend lost it....He bought me the special edition and since I beat the original I could play as Virgil from the get go........But as you can imagine....it wasn't much of a challenge :/
I also bought the first two games because they were like 7 bucks each and I'm playing number 1 now
My friend says i should watch the anime but i havent yet...is it any good?
I also play as Dante in Viewtiful joe on the PS2 :p
I'd like to answer to Tyki Mikk's questions, but I can't, since I still haven't played the games. I will get to play them soon, though. :)

Oh no, i was just mentioning it...Because it was a hard fight the first time....ut that what i like about the difficulty of the original DMC, it makes you think alot more (the special edition doesnt make you start all over which is cheap to me..)

The outfit design resembles the one of DMC 2 Dante. The only differences are the colours (of course there are some differences between the outfits, but the overall design is very similar, don't you think?), and that the character carries two smaller swords intead of a big one, and in addition to that, he seems to smoke unlike Dante. Thus I name him. . .the long lost second brother of Dante. XD Even their eyes and hair are very similar. o_o!

The category under which the pics of the "twin Dante" are is 無限のファンタジア, which would translate into "Infinite/Unlimited Fantasia". o_o I'm not sure what it is, and I've seen many pics in various different styles but with the same logo (the one in the "twin Dante" pics, for instance) on them.

That´s great! but was immediately hit by such a low yoma in the beginning and that was when I lost interest in playing this mode, because => just one hit and you´re history! o_O

Well, I wasn't very good at getting S-Ranks. I average B-Ranks to be honest cos I always lacked in one or two aspects...sometimes mission time, sometimes damage and sometimes the number of red orbs.
But whenever I play it a lot, after playing for a long time I get really good by minimising my damage and hitting my targets as I intend to (sometimes hitting targets is a pain). And you?
Also, what is your favourite style in DMC 3?
I think my average rank was also "B"; I got some "S" ranks and "A" ranks; I lacked most in damage amount, time and style (cause I´m the one who likes to slaughter everything in the vicinity; j/k no actually I tried my best to receive some style points and I specially liked using Cerberus, Rebellion (that Dante can fly with the devil mode while using Rebellion is a great advantage ^_^), Agni and Rudra and Beowulf, but I didn´t like Nevan => couldn´t handle it and it was somewhat annoying, that´s why I couldn´t destroy the Nevan statues either ;_; )
I´m also getting better the longer I play and practice the different styles.
I also like the Doppelgänger modus, cause I can invite friends to play my shadow, even if they are easily bored by it XP
And the skill you get after defeating the horse => stopping time, it´s great as well.
But I used to play the swordsman style, because you just could get the best out of your weapons (I actually never used the gun styles).
What style did you prefer?

My favourite style is actually Quicksilver (time stopping), however, I had most fun playing with the Gunslinger style. Though I think it took twice as long to get rid of my enemies with the guns alone. It's really fun though, so you should try it the next time you play. I also like swordsmaster, but I grew out of it and it's now just a memory to me. Lol. I never used Trickster and I just can't seem to grasp Royal Guard. Doppelganger is okay for me but I get really fed up when my shadow is striking the wrong target; it truly lacks accuracy (or perhaps I'm just crap with it ^^.; ).
I bet you really do enjoy destroying everything. ^^. I like Nevan because I can fly with it, haha...but it's far too slow for the way I play. I received twice as much damage fighting with Nevan. I enjoy using Beowulf and I think that's mainly cos of it's ability to home with that slash-down kick (forgot the technique name). And I also loved upper-cutting with it. Rebellion is also grand and I prefer that sword over both Agni & Rudra and Cerberus. My two usual Devil Arms are Rebellion and Beowulf. As for guns, those would be Ebony & Ivory and Shotgun. I wasn't too happy with Kalinna Ann or Spiral because both of those guns pale in comparison to the quality of Grenade Gun in DMC 1, IMHO.
As for the Nevan Statue...I think I was actually able to break that one...right before I broke my thumbs! :P
I need to try out the Gunslinger techniques if I find the time in the future. I consider buying the special edition (cause I just possess the original); it costs 20 Euros in my country atm, so I think I can offord buying it, and then I´ll play the game again and try to get used to the Gunslinger style for once. ^_^
The Doppelgänger style really lacks accuracy, but if you force your friends to play as your shadow it´s really fun, even if in the end it´s up to you to defeat all the enemies! :p
Uh, yeah, it´s Nevan with which you can fly, I thought it´d have been Rebellion, cause in DMC 1 or 2 it´s his sword with which you can fly, or am I mistaken? It has been such a long time sinve I last played a DMC game. ;_;
Yes, Nevan is very slow and I was not able to produce too many bats and yeah....it just sucked somehow, but the actual fight against Nevan was nice =D
(it was at least a nice idea to have Dante fight with an e-guitar and permitting him to fly with it is also great!)
Beowulf´s awesome, because it causes much damage; it´s a bit slow though, but I also loved the slash-down move and used it quite often, as well as the upper-cut (which is a speciality of Rebellion as well); you can toss enemies in the air and they´re helpless while you finish them off XP
My usual Devil-arms have been Rebellion and Cerberus; my guns: Ebony and Ivory, as well as sometimes Kalina Ann (though it slows you down and is somewhat unhandy). Spiral is useful, yes, but I just almost always use Ebony and Ivory; I´m more of a swordsmaster than a gunslinger, because I´ve more fun piercing/ finishing off akumas with swords than with guns XD
In DMC 1 I especially loved fighting with Sparda (=> awesome sword :love), because it can extend itself and you somehow never finish your combos while triggering just one button (bit exaggerated, but great nevertheless =D).

I´ve nearly no memories regarding DMC 2 ;_; I played it once with Dante and half with Lucia; the game´s not my favourite, I was quite disappointed, so my memory lacks regarding techniques in this game.

Yes, that´s right. In DMC 3 you´re in the underworld and have to open several doors, behind which you meet boss akumas you have to defeat again.

Yeah, I´m quite into DMC, but it has been some time I played DMC (uh, wait :headscratch last week I forced one of my friends to play as my shadow, so actually...XD ).
I bought DMC 1 in 2001 and since then, I´m quite "impressed", not addicted, but I like the games and especially Dante :love

Anyways, I came to write my impressions on DMC 3 here. I'm almost in the end, currently fighting the boss in Mission 19, the music of which is pretty good actually lol. Oh well, I like the music overall, not just that track.

Nevan is hard to handle imo. I didn´t get really used to it. But it´s an alternation to all standard weapons, so it´s quite refreshing. But I was not able to destroy all Nevan statues in the game >.<
I wasn't able to, either. It's not as easy to get used to as the other weapons. There was even one Beowulf statue I wasn't able to destroy, no matter how I hit it. And I didn't just randomly hack and smash. XD I memorized some of the moves and then did them. The weapon Nevan, though, is indeed a nice change from the melee weapons. :D

Almost. I cleared Mission 19 yesterday and then took a break from playing. I'm going to finish it today though. And then I might tell more of my impressions. :)

So yeah, I finished DMC 3 yesterday and I think the ending was very good. I like how Dante finally made up the name for his office→Devil May Cry. For some reason I was somewhat sad when Vergil just

I'm still planning to work on my save file, I have things to unlock; I have yet to get the "Heaven or Hell", "Dante Must Die" and "Very Hard" modes. I doubt someone here has cleared the "Dante Must Die" mode? I think it may be a bit impossible, but not quite. XD I'm not sure if I'm going to try that mode. . .at least NOT without it getting on my nerves.
As for DMC 1, I love it as well! I was pretty surprised to see Phantom though, since from what I've read he's supposed to appear in "Hard" mode and I'm playing at "Normal". I lol'd when I heard his voice. But yeah, I defeated him. I also fell in love with the sword "Alastor" XD And the music is very good too, imo. ^^ I'm in Mission 4 now, but not playing at the moment. I'm going to play more of it today though. :)

Yo, I come to write here about DMC characters like Dante and Vergil. I started playing DMC3 and currently I play as Vergil. I'm now in mission 3.

Um, I think I cleared the "Dante must die" mode, but....ehem, I used the special costume for Dante, which allows you to always stay in the devil trigger mode. (btw: you can use a cheat to achieve all modes and costumes at once XD I could search for it if you want; you just need to press several buttons at once as long as you´re in the start screen with Dante in the background; I used this cheat and it was fun XD)
I tried to clear the "Dante must die" mode in DMC 1, but just got through to mission 5 (where you have to fight against Vergil/ Nelo Angelo for the first time) and it really got on my nerves XD I don´t have enough patience when it comes to action games, I guess (it´s different for RPGs though ^_^).

DMC 1 was the better game for story
DMC 2 was the better game for jumping around
DMC 3 is the better game for Combos
Finished the 3 of em like many of you.
DMC 2 was a sad game only took less then 5 hours to get through :-(
DMC 1 i finished at Normal. Doubt i finished it at Hard but where im at now with 3-4 Shadow Panthers as normal opponents... Made me stop playing it years ago.
DMC 3 i finished at normal i think was pretty good.
Music at 14:40 in DMC ep 9 was prtty nice

You first have to shoot them until they reveal their "hearts" and then you´ll have to pierce them with your sword -__-
And they´re so very fast and dangerous!
There´s a special mission in DMC 1, where you have to fight simultaneously against 3 or 4 of them. You´re going through hell while fighting against them XD
They´re the most annoying "normal" yomas in all three games imo.

Agreed which is why i droped my atemp at beating the game at that lvl.
Be in one area and fight 2 of em go to the next and fight 3 alittle later fight 4 -_-

Yes. ;_; Also, according to Wikipedia, Vergil isn't going to be in DMC 4. Anyway, I've encountered Nelo Angelo two times so far already.

Yeah, but when you lose against regular demons, you don't always get to continue from that room/place. If I remember right, you get to continue from the Divinity Statues, at least when you lose in a boss fight.

Hm, alright, please search the cheat for me. XD However, I didn't use the devil trigger mode that much (just a few times :o), so I don't remember if you're invulnerable to attacks during it, but at least it makes your movement and attacks faster. Is it actually that helpful in the "Dante must die" mode?

XD I also love the Mallet Island, the castle is indeed gorgeous and mysterious, like you said. :) And yeah, Dante's personality in DMC 1 is different compared to the Dante in DMC 3, but as far as I know, not as different as in DMC 2? I've heard that Dante is very quiet in the second game, unlike in the first one he's not that quiet and acts very confident towards his enemies. But, um, I think I could say that he's not as "playful" in DMC 1 than in the third game.

Omg. I encountered one, but it wasn't that bad. . .maybe it's because I was fighting against only one. The thought of fighting more of them at once seems a bit crazy.

This is the cheat I was talking about:
Unlock modes+costumes
On the title screen hold R1 + R2 + L1 + L2 + UP/LEFT on left joystick & DOWN/RIGHT on the D-Pad. A sound will play saying "devil may cry" and you should have all modes and costumes unlocked.
You´re not completely invulnerable to attacks, but your damage is not that severe and you also recover your life energy while running, fighting. You´re faster and stronger! The devil trigger mode is really a life saver XD I´m not sure, but I think I was able to even clear the "Dante must die" mode with it; only the last boss fight was somewhat difficult, but actually it was no big problem. ^_^
You can also use the ring that momentarily stops the time for your enemies endlessly or you can be in the Doppelgänger mode infinitely, so this is also a great help! ^__^
Dante is even more quite and calm in DMC 2, because he´s older and more mature, but I actually prefer a Dante who talks a bit more. ;)
Mhm, it´s sad that Vergil won´t appear in DMC 4 and apparently he is not in the anime either, so...:(

Nelo Angelo was supposed to be Nero Angelo (Black Angel) But there was a translation error lol
I think theres something to do with Virgil, the creator said Virgil will continue to be a very important part of the story

Nero is said to be a combination of Dante and Vergil(and in the interview i read it says that Nero is look alike more with Vergil(in the style))
It's time for some more impressions, because I finished playing DMC 1 for the first time. :)
First of all, I think Vergil was cool as Nelo Angelo, though for some reason to me it was somewhat sad that he had become that through Mundus.
I don't really know what to say about Mundus himself, but I guess he was rather cool for a villain, and also challenging enough for a final boss, not too easy but not too hard either. If I had to name the coolest boss in the game, I'd say Nelo Angelo lol.
I really like the music, it fits the atmosphere very well. The game's playability is also good as well as the story/plot. I also like the ending very much. The movie-like scene in the end with the ocean and blue sky and such was great and very nicely made.
I definitely want to play DMC 1 sometime again, probably intending to give the "Hard" mode a try. As for DMC 3, I want to play it again as well, I might unlock the things (modes, etc) I don't still have with the cheat MeiMei searched for me. XD
It's hard for me to say which one was better, the first or the third game. I honestly can't compare them to each other. They're both great, I'm certainly not disappointed. :)
I like the bit more serious Dante in DMC 1 as I like the "playful" Dante in DMC 3. Anyway, I noticed that Dante had a few funny remarks here and there in the first one, and he wasn't way too serious, because AFAIK, Dante in DMC 2 is even more serious than Dante of 1.
In DMC 1 though, there was one thing that left me a bit :confused:.
On the internet, I read that "Trish could never love Dante the same way he loves her", but that's not how I interpreted it when I played the game.
I got under the impression that Trish had at least almost the same kind of feelings for him as Dante had for her. Or was it only a short-term romance for Trish? I don't know. But still, even if I didn't hear Dante saying the words "I love you", I could clearly see that he cared for her in some way. The way they hugged each other in the end screamed "ROMANCE"! . . .well, almost at least. :p And when they said each other's names. . .well, anyway, I guess it's up to fans' interpretations. Some might think that Trish doesn't love Dante, but from what I saw, she at least cares for him to some extent. But there also was this time when their partnership ended. In the anime, they're not working together anymore, and as far as I know, this applies to the games as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in DMC 2 Dante doesn't (at least from what I know of) work with Trish and isn't that much involved with her anymore. I'm not sure but doesn't he fight against Trish in it? I came across a track in the DMC 2 soundtrack called "Trish Battle". :headscratch
Oh, and I'm working on a DMC fan fiction at the moment, and my OC plays an important part in it. I still haven't decided the name for my OC as well as the names for her guns. The sword is, but of course, called the "Redemption". XD Didn't you have any suggestions as for the names of my OC, MeiMei? I remember you saying something like that.
I also want to get my hands on DMC 2, even if it hasn't gotten as much good reviews as the other two. Who knows, I might as well like it.
