That's an interesting notion Avi, to have Hisana coming back as a villian, hollow/arrancar perhaps? I agree that the impact on Rukia will not be as great as that to Hisana herself and Byakuya.

KT has actually shown us a similar scenario only this one is more personal to Rukia when he introduce AA/Kaien in the HM arc. Rukia was emaotionally rocked by AA manipulations but at the end of the day she did the right thing -- despite the temptation of having Kaien with her again, she recognised that her Kaien is gone, she strengthen her resolve to rescue her friend Orihime even if it means reliving the nightmare of killing Kaien again. Rukia rocks!

Back to Hisana, I say Rukia doesnt even remember Hisana. I think she would be very excited and happy for the opportunity to meet with Hisana. However if Rukia discover that Hisana is a danger to SS, to her firends and especialy to Byakuya, she will not hesitate to deal with Hisana the same manner she did with AA/Kaien.

Like rei_ai, the more interesting emotional turmoils would be Hisana's and Byakuya's. Would Hisana be able to harm Rukia if she still carry the guilt feeling of abanding her little sister? How would she feel about Rukia-Byakuya (renewed) bond?
I just thought of an interesting scenario, what if Byakuya has to intervene in a Hisana-Rukia fight? (assuming Hisana will be powered up) Byakuya I am quite confident will do the right thing that is to assist Rukia, but think of the emotional roller coaster -- How will Byakuya feels knowing that he only has himself to blame for losing the woman he loves agai? Would Rukia resents Byakuya for depriving her of her sister? Would Hisana feels happy or betrayed by Byakuya's action? Unfortunately since this is a shonen manga, its unlikely that we will find out. :( But would it be cool if someone would write a fic about it :D

That is true ChireMae but I was also thinking about: What if Kubo has a card up his sleeve where Hisana holds information about the Royal Guards and the King? I wonder if he'll pull something like that. Oooh would it be ravishing! x3!! It would make the plot a bit more exciting neh? :D

If Byakuya came into the story, I'm sure he'll be doing some advancing power-wise if the above were to happen. It would be something to pull after the HM arc, something to lead towards the Royal Guards. That would make attacking Hisana a lot more difficult ;) Would make a real good fic!

I'm all for the 'Hisana is evil' side now; it's incredible what a good fanfiction does to me. She left baby Rukia do die. >__> No one badhandles baby Rukia. >__> Baby Rukia is a thing of cuteness and should be cuddled, not left on dirty Rukongai streets for cannibals to take. >.<

But I still somehow like Hisana - she'd make for such a great villain. The 'caring wife and redemptive sister'? Beetch, please. Then again I doubt Kubo would go there. That'd be even more Itachiesque than SS Byakuya. XD

And neither do I think Rukia will 'battle' Hisana. We already had that type of confrontation in her battle with Aaroniero; however, when I think of Kubo saying that the battle he'd like the most would be Ichigo vs. Kaien, I can't help but think he likes the lookalikes-battling concept. But... I have this crazy offtopic theory about Hisana returning as a part of the New Espada later on and having to be battled by Byakuya. They'll kill each other of course and it'll be nice and flowery and tear-inducing.

Anyway... I don't like talking about Hisana because it reminds me of how much I want Rukia's backstory to be cleared up and revealed. T__T Damn Kubo, making it so all so mysterious. :cry

Still, I think Rukia has some angst to share considering her past as a wandering infant in the streets of Rukongai :D Although, I think even when she learned about Hisana's connection to her, she didn't felt any remorse (for now? coz she's happy with her big brother??) about her abondonment. She should know any better how hard to survive a 'shitty' place.

LOL, the idea of Rukia mistaking Hisana as a doppleganger is hilarious. It is not the usual 'you are fighting against yourself, girl, nor are you fighting an illusion' She's a real thing. Yes, and perhaps the emotional restraint it will give to Byakuya might be interesting. We'll see an angsty, poker-faced Byakuya. :p

There's that theory going on that Hisana exchanged Baby Rukia for a shot at better life. Also if we follow the Hisana-and-Rukia-are-princesses school of thought, giving away Rukia was an act of protection; that way no one would get suspicious of a midgety Rukongai orphan.

Either way, I think Rukia somehow stumbled upon Urahara at some point in her childhood. And given how in anime and manga Rukia is the one waving around with her memory-changer gadget, it's only fair that she gets the same treatment in turn; her memory was probably at least partially erased.

You know, when Aaroniero said 'From now on, think of this fight as... fighting an army of 33.650 Hollows!!', does this mean Rukia is going to be a millionairess? :nuts

I mean, Shinigami get 'shinigami credits' or whatever for every 'Wanted' Hollow they take down; Rukia took down a Hollow Army. I doubt any Shinigami ever accomplished anything like that. xD

Ah, one of my favourite hobby-horses. Apologies if something like this has already been posted (I’m caffeine-deprived and can’t make my way through 50 pages in sitting. But I will read them – soon).

Yeah, it is really unclear when exactly Urahara placed the Hogyouku in Rukia: according to the ‘end of hypnosis’ chapters, Rukia already had the Hougyuku before she left for Karakura, but the numbers just don’t add up. According to the timeline Kubo’s provided so far, Rukia would’ve had to have spent forty years in Inuzuri before meeting Renji! Not impossible, but kind of weird considering how young she looked when they met compared to how quickly she aged in the ten years they spent there together.

But if she did have it before leaving SS, want to bet that the whole of chapter 1 was a set-up by Urahara? I mean, come on, the shinigami whose carrying the Hogyuoku gets sent for her very first solo mission to the exact place where Urahara is living and, on her first night there gets wasted by a complete cannon-fodder hollow. The first to attack the Kurosai household, despite the fact that three people in it have had spiritual power since they were born. Coincidences do happen but not by the bucket load. My pet theory is that Yoruichi used her mad ninja skillz and/or whatever connections she still had in SS to get Rukia posted to Karakura where Urahara made sure she’d be hampered in her mission so as to force her to stay there. I wouldn’t really be surprised to learn that Isshin was in on it too. There’s got to be something protecting the Kurosaki house normally – why else have they never been attacked before or since (it could also explain why Isshin insists his kids get home before dark in chapter 1; see Ichigo, he’s not just an tyrannical, over-protective loon).

Kubo will no doubt blow this theory to smithereens at some point, but I like the thought of Urahara placing the Hogyouku in the one shinigami he couldn’t get to: Rukia was basically stuck in SS since Byakuya was blocking her getting sent on even remotely dangerous missions. It must’ve been pretty frustrating for him: his perfect plan for destroying the Hogyouku foiled by an over-protective big brother XD.

My theory is that sexy Renji even as a youngster would age any woman, even one as young as TRHG Rukia :D

That's an interesting observation, I remember reading (a theory?) that stated the higher your spiritual power are the longer it'll take for you to age (or the longer your life span will be) Which is why the shinigami, the ruling class of SS live for more than a thousand years while the normal souls will age roughly as long as those on real world before being reborn.

It used to bug me when an ichiruki fans pointed out at Rukia;s age; "she too old, etc", :rolleyes: Hello people different species! I alway thought of the dog-human age comparision in this situation. It's said that 1 year old dog = 7 years old human. In this case it;s reverse for the human -- I year old human = 10 years (at least!) shinigami. Given that Yamamoto is more than a thousand years old than, the ratio could be 15-20:1, in which case, Ichigo you naughty cradle stancher!

Another of my pet peeve is the "of course Rukia reacted differently she lives longer and more experienced" Again the shinigami-human development ratio applies in this case. No matter how many 'life' experiences Rukia was exposed to, her mental and physycal capacity and her capability to absorb and internalised those experiences are still limited to that of a teenager. Sure she will be a bit more sophisticated in some areas but she still less mature than a 20 years old human. Opps did I digress again, ok I stop here and see if I could pick more on topic discussion :D

Re:Hisana abandoning baby Rukia, I guess that's why eventhough I did feel some sympathy for Hisana's flight and do like her, I weren't as taken to her as I did to Miyako (Kaien's wife). I do hope those theories which would give a more plausible or noble reasonings be revealed later, caused as it is leaving a baby so you both could survive still feel kinda a iffy to me. I mean (as suggested by other posters previously) at least leave her at a nicer district!

Taking about the 'Twilight confession' (darn it rei, it sounded so romantic, never mind those pesky shinigamis and injured ryokas loitering about :D, sheesh digress again!) Anyway, I read a lot about how Byakuya broke the rules for Hisana (ny marrying her) but I think it's interesting that for Rukia he disregard Hisana's request of not letting Rukia know that they are sisters. I don't know whether he promised not to tell Rukia, that would be an even bigger thing than disregarding Hisana's request but I always wonder why he did it.

Is it because he wanted a clean slate with her after all the wrongs done to her? Or he wanted her to know that she is family, that she belongs and wasnt adopted in a moment's fancy. Or maybe he wanted her to know that letting her be executed was not because he didnt care for her but because of some misguided notions of how noble shold conduct themselves. I think Byayuka realised that Rukia is noble and pure hearted and regardless of what was done she will forgives him sincerely. :cry Kinda make me wonder which sister he would have opted for had he meet both them together -- eek, run and hide from Byakuya-Hisana fans, Gomen, gomen Remember Bya-Hisana is canon KT said so :D

p.s. Ichiruki is still my no1 fav, even if it's only by a smidgen :D

As for the aging debate - yeah, I've read any number of theories about how they age (spiritual power slows it down; it depends which district they're in; they somehow age more slowly after becoming shinigami; etc.) but none of them seem to entirely make sense. So maybe Urahara did place the Hogyouku in Rukia 100+ years ago but, but... it doesn't make sense.

Ah, the age difference issue. It's funny how fans often seem so preoccupied with it whereas Kubo and his characters never even mention it. If no one in Bleach cares how old anyone is, why should we?

Hum, I sort of see Byakuya's telling Rukia about Hisana as an acknowledgement to both himself and to her that she's important to him for herself, and not only for the sake of his dead wife, which is why he can break his promise to Hisana. *sigh* I was looking at Byakuya fanart yesterday - not a good idea. The Kuchiki withdrawal symptoms have gotten worse.

All that Rukia theory and the Ruki-Byaku-Hisana bizarre love triangle is crazy.
Mentioning that Rukia is Hisana's carbon copy, I can't help thinking that Byakuya had somehow sees her more than a sister. They're not blood-related after all. But of course this is just me, because I really want a more caring big bro Byakuya for Rukia.

That confession in the twighlight is somewhat a justification for all Byakuya's harsh treatment to Rukia. Even if Byakuya's a proud man, the facade he shows is now denying his inner thoughts :D

And about that age whatever of Rukia, it doesn't matter, damn it. She'll always be a woman to Ichigo and a little sister to Byakuya.

The Kuchiki-ness is not yet fading, ChiraMae :D

And yep, it's definitely interesting. I hadn’t thought about it not being her real name though – I’d figured it was more something to do with Kubo not having revealed the kanji for her name yet. But then again, Yachiru and Gin don’t write their given names in kanji either but they didn’t get the special writing treatment. Hum.

Wait a minute! :D Actually if you look at the ratio, the shinigami = the human, the human = the mutt because in the Shini-human case it's the human who age faster :D, oh oh now the entire doggy species will be after me :D About Byakuya-Rukia I am pretty open, I adore the Big Brother-Little Sister dyanamic and equally intrigue at any potential romantic relationship. Interesting fact I discovered about Rukia #1 -- The Kuchiki method of cleaning flushies
Take dirty school bathroom sweeper, hold said flushie by one’s dainty feet and scrub dirty flushie vigorously with dirty sweeper. Let’s hope this cleaning method applies to inanimate object only! :p

Favorite Don Kanoji moment
Early in chapter when Keigo invited Ichigo to join the ‘Don Kanoji’ excursion and Rukia walked in, she held her skirts courtesy stye with both hands and trilled a musical “Hello Ichigo” (Kurosaki kun in Japanese version) Too cute for word! :D

It is very interesting!! But it looks like Rukia isn't the only one with different color names. Apparantly Vizards have similar name-writing styles:

About Rukia's cover having two different fonts and coloring is quite interesting. Besides the dual color, I think the way her name was written looks more elegant than the way her last name was written.

Ahh, I didn't even notice that the cover for Shinji & Hiyori's has the same dual format as Rukia's. Connection? Maybe. Perhaps, the vizards are really the royal guards and Rukia is really a member of the royal family. Maybe that's what Kubo is implying, or maybe I just have an over-active imagination, lol :p

I've been a little, not totally, but more than I'd like, disinterested in Bleach of late. Part of the reason for that is (likely a lot of it) definitely due to the absence of Rukia. It's been more interesting for me to read other people's thoughts/discuss theories instead, and in a way, that has been making me more interested in the manga again.

There are so many Rukia questions that haven't been answered yet - and I want to know the answers already! But right now, I would be just happy to see her show up again. Soon. :D

I've considered several possibilities:

1)Gin - personally I think he's most likely to get to her first because he's been showing some unhealthy interest in her before and during her fight. He probably saw how her fight went down, so I wouldn't be surprised if he actually gets to her first.

2)Vizard - well, they are bound to have a bigger role than what they currently have. I wouldn't be surprised, either, if they've come to rescue Ichigo and co. which includes Rukia and Chad.

3)Ichigo and Ishida's dads and Urahara - same as vizards....

4)SS, namely Byakuya - it's a possibility but I think it's too soon to have him out right now...

Plot Summary: A valuable artifact known as "King's Seal" is stolen by a mysterious group of people during transport in Soul Society. I really dislike the memories of nobody movie because of... er... senna... cuz it's supposed to be Rukia! Really! I got so angry. I haven't watched it (anyway, I saw the trailer) but I'm not planning to. I get the feeling that I'll only be broken hearted there.

At the rate I am missing Rukia presence I will be content if KT includes a new pic of Rukia even if she is bleeding and unconscious :cry I remember Annie(?) said that Bleach isnt doing so well lately, ranked 5-6? I personally think it's the endless fight and in particular lack of Rukia is responsible. The chapters have been pretty repetitive to the point its boring.

We have how many chapters of Orihime and Nell doing the same thing, observing, looking scare then cheerleading, 10? Sheesh enough already. I think more than anything this arc shows clearly why Rukia is the heroine of Bleach and the other girls no matter how big their boobs or small their clothing cant come close. It's KT doesnt know what to do with them Orihime in particular. I noticed that's a heated 'discussion' on this subject already so I'll shush now :D

Anyway I am willing to bet all my Bleach DVD collections that if KT put a Gin-Rukia cliff-hanger ending (like the one he had with Rukia-Kaien/AA) Bleach would shoot up to no1 in no time. Imagine a panel of a smilling Gin carrying a wounded Rukia in his arms -- heck I would fly to Japan myself and break in the SJ printing room to see what happened next! :D

About the flushies I am going to order the trio (Dandelion, Flower and Pineapple) if they did show up in my Anime/Manga shop soon. I wish they would come up with a chappy one. There's tons of Kon, they are pretty cute but of there's one of Chappy and that Seaweed Ambassador (Byakuya's sand creation) I would be so buying them :D Here's a couple more items a Byakuya-Rukia-Renji and a solo Rukia penant/poster.

Chiramae thank you for making this poll. it is fun. my official and wishful predictions are the same because i suck at it.

1 & 2 > Who will rescue Rukia? Who will heal Rukia/How will Rukia be healed?

Renji & Ishida. Renji will pick up Rukia in her current state (like Kaien's position when he jumped in Rukia's sword). Ichigo will come in the scene as Renji carries Rukia. Ichigo will ask Renji if she is alright, and Renji tells Ichi she will be ok. Ori will say she will heal her as soon as they get out of there. Urahara will heal Rukia and some secret will be revealed. (Because there will be no time for Ichi to emo in HM, too dangerous, so he'll do it at Urahara's!!!) ;D

3. What will be Rukia’s first word?

Nii-sama? (love ByaRuki!) Byakuya will tell Ichigo he should not look at Rukia like that, she did her job as a shinigami regardless of the outcome.

1. Who will rescue Rukia?
I think Rukia's rescue will not happen till after Chad is found and it would probably be almost at the end of the HM arc. Ichigo & the others will try to go where she is, but Stark will already be there. I'm suspicious about Stark's conversation with that arrancar girl (the one who sat on his nuts, lol XD). I think there's a history between Stark & Arroniro, & will be revealed during this time. Ichigo will then try to take out Stark, but all of a sudden, Aizen will show up and start talking about some sort of unexpected revelation and then Shinji will show up.

2. Who will heal Rukia/How will Rukia be healed?
I think Orihime will heal her. But Rukia will remain unconscious somehow and Ichigo will bring her home or at Urahara's place, and we'll see a parallel scene of the Orihime confession chapter, where Ichigo will be the one who will finally confess to an unconscious Rukia and kiss her :p

Say, there will be more guys to come for Rukia :D If there's one female in Bleach that can get to guys, that'll be Rukia, right? She's almost the center of guy's attention in Bleach. Six guys are not enough, LOLz.

About the popularity poll:
I can't think of any character that has the capability of beating Rukia in popularity. Hitsugaya's popular, but he's off manga right now, but if fangirls miss him so much that they still place him no. 1, well, that will be weird. He's cool, but the story doesn't revolve around him. I think Rukia deserves to be no. 1 and Ishida no. 2, becuase both of them showed great performance and character development in the arc.

But still Bleach has so many extra characters that a popularity poll is indeed necessary (-_-)

I think Nel will be willing to heal Rukia as a payback to Ichigo.

to wicked_liz: LOlz, I wish Rukia can heal herself then on the move of finding Ichigo-tachi, she'll run into Gin. :nuts

To be a member of the secret Reverse Rukia Harem is easy! If you are easily seduce by the idea of Rukia being with more than one guy then you are practically a member! Intercostalspac has Renji and Ichigo rescuing Rukia and then Byakuya enters the picture as well -- classic sign of Reverse Harem member! :D Our club doesnt do the spit on palm and shake, but there're a lot of ogling close examinig of sexy pictures of Bleach men, you know just to make sure they are good enough for our Goddess :p

I was thinking in a way the pressure is not so much on Rukia even if she slips to 4-5 in the rank. The poll ended on Sep 3 and was for a period of two months or so. Rukia wasnt featured in the manga and was barely in the anime so we do have a ready made excuse if she did slip :p However if she maintains no3 or climbs higher WooHoo!! We can crow and brad all over the place! Avtually it would suprise me if this happens - the masses of restless Rukia fans voicing their dissastifactions on lack of Rukia through voting for her in the Character Popularity Poll -- god knows I did!

Hitsugaya and Matsumoto were featured in the anime (filler eps) so Hitsugaya I think should still prevails in top 3. I got a feeling that Matsumoto might make it to top 10, she seems to be everywhere. The dark horse is Orihime, she gains some fans and losses some in the current storyline. Ulq and GJ would probably make it in top ten. Nell the babe was still in the baby stage so I think she has 50-50 chance of making it. Anyway we'll see come December.

LOL, I didn't know I was writing a sort of fanfiction in my post :D ...I guess it does look like it, huh? :p ...Anyway, I don't know what happen after Shinji shows up. I'm drawing a blank right now :( ...Maybe, Shinji & Ichigo decide to tag team against Aizen. Then they are interrupted by more bad guys showing up. Shinji suggest to Ichigo that they should all leave when they can. Surprisingly, Aizen let them all go. Then Ichigo & the others, along with an unconscious Rukia, left HM. Then we see scenes of Urahara finally revealing his secrets to everybody, including answering Renji's questions. Afterwards, we see Ichigo watching & talking to a sleeping Rukia, in which he decide to spill his feelings for her (similar to ch237, but one huge difference is that Kubo decide to have Ichigo actually kiss Rukia). Rukia wakes up from the kiss, have dramatic & intense eye-contact with Ichigo, and whisper his name. Ichigo blush. Rukia blush. They decide to say something, but was interrupted by Kon or by Ichigo's papa.

..Okay, I guess that's it. I don't know what else to add, lol XD

So, who exactly is going to rescue Rukia? I would like to say ONLY Ichigo will end up rescuing Rukia. But I think all the good guys (Ichigo, Ishida, Renji, Orihime, Chad, and possibly Nel and her 'brothers,' as well as whoever else Ichigo & company turn into good guys) will end up going to where Rukia is.

Will there be a tug of war between Gin and Ichigo? verbal war? smirking war? Inquiry mind wants to know :D

Probably some talk will occur between them, a Gin flashback or something, some revelation on why he bothers Rukia so much, and also some physical fight thrown in for dramatic effect :p

I think Orihime will heal her. But Rukia will remain unconscious somehow and Ichigo will bring her home or at Urahara's place, and we'll see a parallel scene of the Orihime confession chapter, where Ichigo will be the one who will finally confess to an unconscious Rukia and kiss her :p

OMG!!! What I want exactly to happen! If that happens, it would be the end of the world!!!!!!! Cuz the world will be overcomed by squealing fangirls/fanboys!!!!!!

Rukia could also be picked up by Chad, I think it sucks that Kubo had him go down that quick, Chad's awesome, but not as strong as a rank #5 Espada.

I don't really ship Ruki with anyone else 'sides Ichigo, but the Rukia Harem is abundantly stocked, 'cause y'know Kubo's gotta love our girl to make almost every male in Bleach like her #1 fan/stalker.

Everyone, help me vote for Rukia on the Chinese Saimoe contest! I'm not a fan of the concept of "moe" either, but it’s a popularity contest and it’s such a big deal. For those of you who don't know what Saimoe is, it’s basically a popularity contest of all the female anime characters, and this is the "preliminaries" so to speak?

Taking about Ururuki and Byaruki, if you havent do so already checked out Akane Rei's fics, she did a beautiful Byaruki in Subsitute Affection as well as one fic on Uruhara-Rukia at the LJ that was so convincing that I nearly join the Ururuki community! Basically on the later AR was trying to explain why Rukia wasnt that angery with Uruhara despite the danger that he put her in.

I adore Uruhara-Rukia interactions they are often comical but you could sense that there are dark undercurrent hiden. I miss it -- Rukia with her 'I am the princess, you have to take me seriously' atttitude (althogh deap down she knows he doesnt) vs Uruhara "I am harmless albeit a bit of a scoundrel" (beleive that at your own peril, Uruhara is smarter and more dangerous than he appear)

@wicked_liz -- :hug Nobody won cause the poll aint over yet. The 4th Official Character Popularity Poll will only be announced early December and Rukia is still not rescue yet. Say whatever gave you the idea that everything is over.....you have been drinking that spiked punch at the corner have you? :D

@Marionette Thanks for the heads up, Rukia seems to be catching up. I voted (hopefully I did it correctly)

@ChireMae: thank you for reminding me about that LJ. i have read that UraRuki fic and have yet to leave a comment, actually i just did right now. Maybe tomorrow i will try her ByaRuki fic (if it's also at FF.net i might have read it already). I also bumped into a RenRuki fic. It made me a tad sad for Renji, it sort of gave me a glimpse of his love for Rukia, the days they've spent together, and possible hardships they could have been through. It just makes me wanna ship RenRuki. I must say all fics were great: entertaining, touching, insightful.

Rukia is up by 25 in the Saimoe contest prelim round! I doubt that she will win in the real contest since her character is most definitely not "moe", but doing so well in the preliminary round shows her very great general popularity as a character.

The prelim round is over right? Seems like Rukia comes 1st. I was worried because just two hours ago she fell to the 3rd place. And seriously, out of all the characters there, Rukia is the least moe of all. I can't see Rukia as 'moe'. However, like you said, this shows she's popular in general.

Yeah, I really doubt that she's going to won the whole thing :P I just want her to make it as far as she can. Although, the Chinese Saimoe contest is not exactly the same as the Japanese one...because nobody have otakus like the one Japan has; so it’s a bit more like a general popularity contest.

Its still the "moe" characters that's dominating, but some none-"moe" series character also did pretty good: Ai Haibara from Detective Conan, Theresa from Claymore and Lucas from SEED all won first place; Sakura from TRC is second in the same group as Lucas; and most of the Claymore group did amazing. But just by winning and putting herself in the same caliber popularity wise as Theresa and Ai and Lucas, Rukia has already accomplished tons.

It's kinda like raising Rukia awareness. I don't expect her to be "Rei Ayanami" yet, but she's definitely become popular with the merchandising - at least the stuff I've seen online from Japan. Years from now, I want to be able to weird random stuff made in Rukia's image. :nuts

Through extreme luck, I figured out site navigation, and we can vote for Rukia again on the 24th in her group of 8. The only person I recognize in her group in Nanaly from Code Geass.

Every team has eight competitors, and they are each ranked #1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 in their own preliminary group, so no group would have too many strong or weak characters.

Therefore Rukia doesn't have any more first place winners in her group, but the second place in there had a vote of 1844 in her preliminaries - less than 100 less than Rukia. So the competition should still be pretty tough.

In the current competition (http://dm.tgbus.com/2007/) that’s going on, the first place winner in the group (#16) is barely making the cut: she’s #4 out 8 with #5 catching up (only the first 4 of 6 will enter the next round). So sometimes their previous rank doesn’t mean as much as we like it to mean.

It's basically the Chinese version of the Saimoe contest, except China doesn't have otakus like Japan does - at least not in the same way, so it’s more of a popularity contest. Anyways, the magazines that sponsored it made it a pretty big deal. In the preliminaries Rukia's group had to redo the voting because of system break down on the voting site. Which was good for Rukia, b/c she didn't do so well the first time but won first place the second (although barely). Rukia's second round starts at 12AM, less than two hours!

For anyone who cannot vote because of the language barrier: I'll be around today afternoon and tonight, everyone can just send me the code somehow and I'll provide the typed out letters for you to copy into the verification bar, like last time. If I'm didn't get back to you soon enough, than please ask for help in the Rukia FC or the IchRuki FC, someone there's bond to know Chinese and be able to help:)
