View Full Version : Can someone recommend...
some school animes? Similar to Ichigo 100%.
Do you prefer any genre (romance like ichigo 100%) or just something that takes place at a school (mostly)
Just takes place at school type of anime. Not Ouran High School Club though its like all guys..
Suzuka kinda takes place at a school. The manga is great and I've only seen 1 or 2 anime episodes but that was good.
I'll try to think of more.

I recommend: Azumanga Daioh, Comic Party, Manabi Straight, Karin, Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, Kanon, Piano, Shuffle! and To Heart.
I haven't seen the anime but the Tenjho Tenge manga takes place at a school (for a little bit), it's also a fighting series and not many of those take place at schools.
Adding on to their lists:
School Rumble (Light comedy)
Great Teacher Onizuka
Love Hina (Semi-school)
BECK (Takes place in different environments, music anime. )
Midori no hibi
Real About High School: Samurai Girl (fighting, like Tenjou Tenge)
Shakugan No Shana (Semi-school, and you'll like it if you like fantasy/action/drama)
Thanks! Im also currently watching Shakugan.

There is a new series called School Days (http://bleachasylum.com/showthread.php?t=553) do check it out here (http://bleachasylum.com/showthread.php?t=553)
Others would be ( romantic comedies )
* Kamisama Kazoku
* Kasimasi ~ Girl meets Girl ~
Yeah I checked it out but Ill wait till the whole series is done. I already started Suzuka and its so good!
Ichigo 100% anime is mostly ecchi/comedy, with a hint of romance and school life. Most of the animes fit in at least one, if not more than 2 of the above genres.
There's already been a few good ones listed but these might also be interesting
Sakura Dairies (this one might be a bit excessive on the fan service)
Peach Girl (romance galore...)
DearS (mostly slice of life - basically means school life and romance)
Happy Lesson (comedy and school)
Ikki Tousen (action, school, lots and lots of ecchi)
i my me strawberry eggs
Kyou no Go no Ni (Just 4 OVAs with one more to go, but still worth a watch. very funny - mostly school, comedy and ecchi...lol)
Lamune
Canvas 1 and 2 (i watched 2, school and romance)
Seto no Hanayome (comedy, school and a bit of romance)
Tsuyokiss - Cool x Sweet (comedy, school and romance)
Well well it turned out being a larger list than i thought it would be :headscratch oh well I know you can't possibly watch all of the above, but maybe you might want to pick more out from this. The ones I highly recommend would be the bold ones.

Kamisama Kazoku (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamisama_Kazoku) and Kasimasi ~ Girl meets Girl ~ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kasimasi) are already over so when your done with Suzuka do check them out
It's almost impossible to find a school based manga/anime that isn't romance or ecchi. I never realized that before.

There are very few. Most that don't go that way, will go action/comedy. But there is almost always a bit of romace in the story somewhere. Or extra heavy on the action.

I would recommend the entire Full Metal Panic series. The original for the mecha action and drama, Fumoffu for the outrages comedy, and The Second Raid for heavy character developement. I would also recommend the Tenchi series if anyone enjoys harems.
