HERE ARE THE RULES FOR THE FC: PLEASE READ THEM AND BEHAVE ACCORDINGLY

*If you do not like a pairing DO NOT post in that pairing FC. If you read the fanclub and want to discuss something that was said then sort it out via PM or elsewhere, do NOT go into that fanclub and start a war. Anyone posting in a pairing fanclub that isn't a fan will almost automatically recieve a ban.

*You can discuss other pairings but when others discuss your pairing negatively and you don't like it sort it out through pm, if you break the above rule to start a flame war it's an instant ban.

*Neg reps to rival pairing fc posts over such things won't be tolerated. I consider this being in an FC of a pairing you don't like therefore breaking a rule.

*I'd suggest just totally not reading the fc of the pairing you don't like but I know that is never gonna happen. You all wanna be able to talk about other pairings so much well fine but just be prepared for others to do it about your favourite pairing also. These rules were changed as per YOUR wishes so don't come complaining to me when you decide you don't like the change.

From the 6th September to the 20th October, we will hold a contest for fic & fanarts.
RULES
-IchiRuki centric. Fics can display other characters, but the fanarts can not.
-You can participate in both categories, but only once in each. So, be careful
-May it be fanart of fanfic, they must fit one of the two themes we give
THEMES
-Isshin gave Rukia a not so appropriate costume to Rukia for Halloween. Ichigo finds out too late.
OR
-AU. Rukia, a witch, meets up with Ichigo.

Ch10: Rukia fighting with the Parakeet Hollow. Ichigo came and took the fight over for her. He was a little worried. Development of Ichigo <--> Rukia friendship.

Ch17: Ichigo tells Rukia his mother was killed. First step of Ichigo --> Rukia trust.

Ch34: Ichigo getting nervous when he feels rumours spread about him and Rukia. XD (Refer Chapter 7, Ichigo told Mizuiro that he doesn't care what other people thinks of him, but this chapter he became inconsistent and anxious about the rumours. XD) Slight Ichigo --> Rukia.

Volume 6:
Ch52: Rukia is running away, and remembers the lunch she had with the girls. Slight Rukia --> Ichigo.

Volume 7:
Ch53: Ichigo worries, and find her with Renji and Byakuya.
Ch54: Ichigo-Renji first fight. Renji explaining how Rukia protected him by going out.
Ch55: Rukia understanding Ichigo's reaction, and still wanting him safe, helps him out. He freaks out, and is about to defeat Renji when Byakuya helps his VC.
Ch56: Rukia wanting to be by Ichigo's side, who is deeply injured. Ending up helping him and saving him. Is taken away, leaving Ichigo in despair.
Ch57: Ichigo's despair (not wanting to live anymore) and resolution to go and save Rukia, to become stronger for her.
Ch58: Ichigo's sad when he understands that no one reminds of Rukia, and left pondering when he realises that the world still continue to live without her.

Volume 9:
Ch79: feel the life coming back to Rukia when Renji told her about Ichigo barging in.

Volume 10:
Ch81: Ichigo's talking with Ganjuu about Rukia, slight Ichigo --> Rukia.

Volume 11:
Ch94: pure IchiRuki goodness, brought by Hanatarou and Ichigo reminding Rukia.
Ch95: Ichigo and Renji second fight; Ichigo saying that he doesn't care about his opponents, and he'll save Rukia.

IchiRuki timeline
-Karakura arc: they spend ALL the time together and bond. [time spent together: 2 months, up until ch56]
-Then Rukia is taken away and Ichigo realises that he can't let that happen.
-SS arc: they spent most of their time away from each other (the two reunions only had them together for less than two chapters! BUT on the other hand, they spent most of their time thinking about each other (way to deepen the bond) [time spent together: one week at the end of the SS arc+a few minutes during the two reunions! Separated for 20 days or so, ch56 to 176 with two reunions/departures on ch116/117 and ch150/152, week together not storytold in the manga]
-Then they get separated again and we see how Ichigo is lost without her [separated for two weeks or so, ch181 to 195]

-Rukia comes back and in the same day:

she helps him
she is welcomed in the Kurosaki household
she is hurt by GJ
Ichigo leaves to train with the Vizards [B][time spent together: a day! Ch195 to 214]
-Rukia then spends most of the time looking out for Ichigo and worrying for him [a few days, ch214 to 228]
-When she learns that he's ok, she goes back to SS with Inoue to train for a month [ch228 to 231]
-She comes back, saves Ichigo, is nearly killed and saved, and has to look out for Ichigo during the night.
-Next time we know, they're being separated (again) [separation: more than a month; reunion: a day or so reunion: ch235-238; time separated: ch213 to 235]
-Only to be reunited again in HM [separation: two days or so; reunion: an hour at most, probably less than that! reunion: ch246-248, separation: ch239 to 246]
-Away for something like 1 or 2 hours [separation: ch248 up until ch317, where they have the shortest meeting ever]

I think something like that is cute, I love it. Just like when Rukia was captured, the way Ichigo said, "If I don't go then no one will go, right?" to Urahara is really cute. There's a hidden loveliness in his speech. And then Rukia's, "Go home!" ah, it's really endurable. Their dishonest attitudes are lovable. Uuuuuh, but I'm still happy nonetheless! *took breath*

Ah ha, I feel exactly like her. I love IchiRuki subtleness and in denial quotes. IchiRuki has never really been about speaking out how they feel. They always disguise it with harsh words (don't follow me or I will never forgive you, I owe her, I won't thank you). That's why I'm torn if I really want to see something blunt (such as a hug) in the movie.

Anyway, I just hope fans won't whine if something didn't happen. I know Kubo loves IchiRuki but he help planned this movie I doubt if he's willing to give any physical attraction between the two yet. Words...I have no doubt since 'Rukia's like the ray of light to Ichigo' has to be most mushy and poetic declaration he ever gave to IchiRuki. But I still vary if he's willing to push them to further especially in the movie.

I wonder what the IchiRuki reaction in Japan will be to the movie's premiere--the hype has been so big so far. I think some (probably Western?) fans will be disappointed if Ichigo doesn't do something really schmaltzy cheezy lovey dovey in the movie, but I think Japanese audiences really don't want that

Heh, I can already see some will be disappointed. But really, I doubt Japanese fans will cry their eyes out if Ichigo doesn't kiss Rukia or hug her. I know I wouldn't. Sometimes I wonder if it's just Western ideal of romance has to be confirmed only via physical but not emotional.

But again....we are in fandom where claims like Ichigo doesn't give a damn about Rukia because he said 'Guess it couldn't be help, I will do it' (lolz, the irony how Android loves that quote and sees it as love from Ichigo) existed. I think so too. They want it black and white, then Kubo must do something about this. I'm tired of how people choose not to see the subtleness in the pairing (they want it as in kiss or hug or an out loud confession, though I don't really need that. But people's definition of love have to be that..:sweat) It just doesn't settle with people if they don't see those things coming from Kubo especially when you're in shipwars and fandom.

Perhaps, Annie. After all, how affections are portrayed are vastly different depending upon where you are. I admit, here in the west, there is this certain leaning towards a more openly intimate situation to show love, while for others an open confession does not have to be the only form of gesture to show feelings for some. One has to take that into context before they begin to analyze the dynamics of the relationships and characters. But that is where things get a bit hazy. Some feel that there is only one universal way of showing something. But it doesn't work that way. What would work for one, doesn't have to work for all.

I must admit, I am into the entire sappy, happy, romantic, googly eye types of couples. But...even though IchiRuki aren't at that point, and probably will never in the entire series, I still feel drawn to them. There is a connection, and I'm sure no one can deny up to that point. But I guess to some, based on how they see how relationships work, will split when it comes to just how much Rukia means to Ichigo. What draws me most to the couple is that there is such a mutual understanding of one another, and its just whenever you see them interact, it just feels so natural and right. They just develop on their own, without the extra needed words or confession. They do that by just being themselves, and learning more about one another and themselves by that.

Heh. It always amuses me to read these types of arguments. One also has to understand the character's reasonings behind what they say, what they do. Sometimes I feel that doesn't happen, esp. with the first two examples about how Ichigo is suddenly shown as not caring over Rukia, because well, he is behaving how Ichigo WOULD behave under given circumstances. He will not spout romantic verses whenever hes going to save someone (well actually he does for Rukia...subtly..eerr haha). I'm not even going to go for the bridge scene, because honestly, if you are going to say he cares more about Hanatarou because you decided to base Ichigo's feelings all from ONE panel without understanding the circumstance behind it...then I don't know what more to say.

Annie, I actually do want to see a hug, because it doesn't always make a couple canon. It depends on the type of hug he gives her. I want to see a I'm-glad-you're-back-to-normal-hug, instead of a romantic hug that says 'I love you', save that for the manga. I want to see a hug like the one Orihime gave Rukia in the bount arc when she came back, only without the tears, though tears would be nice.

I can see just a sadden expression on his face as he hugged her once she regained herself back. Rukia would be shocked but would just smile saddly and apologize for the harm she had caused him in their fight. Then starts an arguement about whether she should be apologizing or not. *runs off in fangirl fantasy land*

anyways, I'm dying to see this movie! :yell I wonder how she'll get her body and mind under her control again... maybe Ichigo telling her what he means to him, but not in a declaration of love type of way.

When will they learn that these kind of arguments can come back and bite you back on your tushies!! Now we can argue back tha fact that Ichgo ingores Orihime for much of HM arc in favor of eye smex with GJ, Zaraki and Ulq means he loves and cares about them more than he does Orihime! :D

I always though that bridge scene is the most quintessential ichiruki -- here's a fifthteen year old boy getting a chance to play hero for his girl, so he macho-ly struts around, ignoring her hence ensuring maximum attention from her. He turned around all cocky expecting her to either throw herself at him or at least looked at him with gratitude and admiration only to have her berated him for being foolhardy! :p Then they get in a I-care-more-about-you-being-hurt-than-about-my-own-wellbeing arguments -- that my friends are verbal lovefest ichiruki style! :D
