View Full Version : Bad movies you've seen ...

Talk about bad movies you've seen, recently or not, here.
For example, I saw License to Wed last week and wasted my money. I personally thought the "humor" was kinda dry and the movie was overall not very entertaining. One or two good laughs, but the rest of the movie was pretty lame, like how Rev. Frank and the kid (who totally idolizes him) are always sneaking around. It just wasn't as funny as I thought it would be from the previews.

Well in the movie little man i found most of the jokes all dried up, it was so boring, i mean i left the theater as soon as it ended never looking back XP

Napolean Dynamite didn't do anything for me. So many people were like, "OMGOMG HAHA SO FUNNY", but I watched it and thought it was boring and lame. I guess I just don't have a sense of humor for that movie.

I saw all the humor there, that movie ws hilarious to me, i mean who could not love it, it reminds me of my lazy side. XDDDDDDDD

I didn't quite like Napolean Dynamite either.
Anyway, I personally think that those two American Guyver movies were terrible.
I saw "Son of the Mask" or whatever it was called. That's very sad.

Any of the Disney sequels like Beauty and The Beast 2 or Little Mermaid 2 or any that crap. Mind you, some of the sequels, like the Lion King and Aladdin ones, were okay (until the 3rd Aladdin, I think), but the sequels that took a long time to release and were straight to video were terrible. They don't do the original classics any justice at all, only to show the "happily ever after" or how life is like after all the big trouble is gone.

I recently saw FF-rise of the silver surfer...and man..what a BORING movie.
I will think of some other films that sucked big time.

Hmm trying to think, I have seen many bad movies....I fell asleep in Babe and the first Harry Potter movie. Those were pretty bad imo. I have seen a million bad horror flicks like the most recent "hitchhiker" movie. I dunno I will think of more.

I think the absolute worst film I ever saw was called Hypersapien. The cover looked cool but nope. Boring plot, not funny, clinched and bad effects. I still get paid out for making us hire it so long ago XD.

Oh there are too many for me to mention.. I'll just say 7 Seconds, the most recent crap I've seen. ^_^
The worst movie I've watched would be From Dusk till Dawn 3. I can't remember the side title and I don't care. I just remember all the dodgy cam jobs. There was bat cam, phone cam, teeth cam, eye cam... think of a place and the director put a camera. Seriously lost it's cult appeal after the fifth one it did. =_= The gore was there I suppose to watch if you wanted people you didn't like killed but that was it. I don't recommend it at all.
The most recent movie that I didn't like would probably be The Hitchhikers or whatever it was. I remembered the 80's/90's original it was based off and thought it would be interesting. Boy was I wrong I switched off after the first 20 minutes.

Mortal Kombat 2. Never seen bad **** like this. Part 1 was good, but this was like a 100 dollarbudget film.
Crank!!! They should have named it Crack!!!
I expected to see many glorious fight scenes with Jason Statham, but no ... there were only scenes of him on crack!!! Can't believe I actually sat through the whole movie :(

Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix
I was so anxious to see this flick..when the spoilers came out last year December I couldn't wait for it to see..but now that I did I feel sad. What a horrible, horrible film this is...it is SO boring..I can't even describe it.
Hopefully the next one will be better..but with the way they are going I don't think it will...HP and the goblet of fire was a bad as well.
ha...I rate it a 2/10

I also watched and absolutely hated Power Rangers the Movie. My brain went numb in fascinated horror. What can I say... me and my friend were really bored.

Oh God.. I hated GR because a) it sucked and b) the damn song was stuck in my head for a few days lol.

Yea, MK II was a huge disappointment. I liked the first one, but the second was utter crap. I hated how they changed some actors and also killed Johnny Cage. And overall, it just sucked, anyway. But I heard that a third one is supposed to be in the works? I'll have to go check up on that..
Another movie that sucked, though some of you may not agree, was Benchwarmers. Luckily, my friends and I movie-hopped, and I'm glad, because if we had actually paid to see that movie, it would have been a huge waste. I was so bored at that movie.

Oh OOh! I soo completely agree about Ghost Rider! It looked so good in the movie previews..but after watching it illegally (sorry guys) I thought like..what the hell?! It took me atleast a month to see it fully! Gah..and the SFX were just HORRIBLE!
I just blocked Ghost Rider out completely. That movie's dead to me.

I didn't quite like Napolean Dynamite either.
Anyway, I personally think that those two American Guyver movies were terrible.OMG someone else saw them too? :D You're right, they were bad movies, but the costumes were awesome. The second one was waaaaay better than the first, thank goodness, though that isn't really saying much.
MK2 was so meh it made me die inside. But apparently they're talking about making a third movie that disregards the second one and picks up after the first. Let's hope it's good this time!
The dumbest movie I've seen recently is Happy Feet. Pointless, pointless movie with bad animation imo. Another one is Queen of the Damned, that movie supposedly set after Interview with a Vampire. Meh, glad I only caught it on TV because it was a waste of the five minutes I used to watch it. XD

The EPIC movie. I just walked out of it because it was too terrible for me to watch.
Pfffft. You saw nothing, I'm telling you, nothing!
Turkish Star Wars is a true bad movie. A true gem XD
I also saw Vampire assassin (mmh maybe it was plural, I can't remember) which made me go: but people were paid to do this? I mean, Turkish Star Wars was a bad Turk movie but... THIS? XD
Oblivion yesterday. OMG. XD
I also saw other movies (with ninjas etc), but I can't remember the names :p
The thing is those movies are so bad that you can only laugh. XD
Gigli holds the spot for the worst movie I have ever seen. I think the movie only grossed $6 million, making it one of the biggest box office bombs of all time.
Memorable quote: "It's turkey time." "What?" "Gobble, gobble."
I recommend seeing the movie just so you can see the context those lines are used in.
Might as well mention Catwoman and Speed 2 as well.
One of the Power Rangers movies made like 7 million or something, it was a bad movie:cry

Date Movie: Worst movie evurrrr. It shouldn't even came on theaters. Every scene was random and not funny. I only liked the singing at the end.
hm.. I usually don't bother seeing movies.. even good ones so I didn't see many bad ones... xD
but those I found bad (and that I remember at the moment) were :
-That kinda 20th century adaptation of Romeo&Julliet... (watched it in class..at least no class) it was LAME and I thought Dicaprio was terrible on that one. (I thought the other actors were bad too mind you). I think it could've been good but they seriously screwed it up.
-Street Fighter : baaaad movie, they butched it so much.. but oh well, it was entertaining (I think?)
-Rebound was baaaad. So predictable and cliche'd. It's like Space Jam, but without the bugs bunny characters, without Michael Jordan and without the evil aliens. Add some untalented kids, a Bad Coach, a cheesy love subplot and you're in! O__O

Ok I got a new one, 28 weeks later. 28 days later was cool and well done this was just a travesty. Also White Noise 2...it had nothing to do with the first one and wasn't even about evp. Whereas the first at least was focusing on a real phenomenon this was total horror fantasy unrealistic crap with added crappy religious elements to boot.

AvP was retarded, I was actually expecting something of it, too.
Red Planet; I liked it, but that was when I was 5 years younger and was hella into space. lol
Blade 3 was pretty bad, the music sucked, the acting was meh, and the plot wasn't exciting at all. Nor was the action.
War was ok. Not my fave and I'm not a fan of Jason Statham, anyway. Also, the plot wasn't too solid, imo, at least, from what I remember of it (didn't bother watching the dvd yet).

the golden compass movie wasn't that bad, it just didn't follow half of the book and some of the characters were in the wrong places. someone who hadn't read the book would find it pretty good..either that or extremely confusing...
Tomodachi69
01-04-2008, 04:59 AM
I hated Golden Compass, it was boring, poorly paced, and ended like wtf?
Seriously, the girl suddenly can read the compass, then everyone travels wherever. She gets a polar bear, who promptly accepts her as his "master" (for lack of better word), who then kills his rival, but that doesn't matter, LET'S TREK ONWARD.
There was no weight at all to any of the events that happened, they just did and became lost in the sandbox the rest of the plot(s) were.

AvP was the most recent one my sister wanted to see. It was...yeah.
I think one of the ones that sticks out like a sore thumb was "Leprechaun" (im not sure if there were more then one part of not, but when you have a menacing Leprechaun chasing teenagers down on a tricycle while laughing like a maniac...
Tomodachi69
01-04-2008, 05:14 AM
Haha, I was thinking of Elf until I read the part about chasing down teens XD
I've never been a fan of Will Ferrel, so I think most of his movies are bad lol. Just not my cup of tea.
The later Land of Before Time movies were bad and lacked the emotional storytelling that got me hooked on the first one. No.3 and after were eh, too musical and childish.
Same with most Disney sequels, like Beauty and the Beast 2.
Velius
01-04-2008, 05:19 AM
Will Ferrel is like Jim Carey. You either think his stuff is golden or you think he just looks like a retard. I think both actors have had their share of hits and misses, for me at least.
And hey now, I have to stick my foot in the door for Red Planet. :D Sure it wasn't Gone With the Wind, but for entertainment factor, special effects and just the base idea, it was pretty good for me. Ok, I'm just a sucker for Carrie-Anne Moss. :D And a little GAR for Val Kilmer. HAHA.
Tomodachi69
01-04-2008, 05:32 AM
Is Red Planet the one where they go to Mars and they find that Martian who lets Gary Sinise ride it to wherever? If so, I liked it.
I like Jim Carey more than Will Ferrel :D He's funny and he's pretty good at non-humor roles, too. But whee, I digress.
I thought IT was bad. Made way back when, but still. Perhaps I was just hoping too much that it would be like the book. Which would probably have been hard to do back then, lol.

01-04-2008, 05:32 AM
Disney sequels can be bad...when you see a classic heroine such as Cinderalla go 'and that hair (or dress, i don't remember)...ewww' I don't know why that really bugged me..I think the only decent sequel was Toy Story 2.
Haven't seen red planet...
I'm pretty sure there are others...alot more lol...just have to think of them XD

Resident Evil 2 was bad lol. What kind of acting and dialogue was that?

Also, Nemesis looked like crap.

01-04-2008, 05:42 AM
Transformers, a very poorly made movie. I will admit that the action and special effects were great a wowed me, but the rest of the movie was just boring. I saw it in the theaters when it came out and with the huge screen and great sound the fights were entertaining enough to override the horrible screenplay. But when I watched it a second time when my roommate got it I was bored with after 20 minutes of watching. With all of the money they had for the special effects they could have spared some and hired some decent writers. Giant robots are using Earth as a battle ground, and the human race is just trying to survive and make sense out of it, so why did the movie give so much attention to a cliche boy tries to win a girls heart story. The love story was not even interesting, I found it cliche and stupid when it was trying to be funny. The special effects were great, but special effects should be used to enhance a story not to be a replacement for the story. I liked the fight scenes along with other funny scenes, but if you are looking of a action movie or a romantic movie you can do much better, and don't bother with Transformers.

I noticed Tomodachi69 mentioned the Golden Compass, I just recently saw that one and I have to agree, it was terrible. I think the concept might have been okay, and I admit to not reading the books, but that might have been the most poorly paced movie of all time. I felt lost most of the time, it was like suddenly they are in new locations and have new goals with out any coherency. I am surprised that the movie got good reviews, just because I couldn't make sense of why anything was happening or really if I should care if anything happened.

Swept Away - It was the last movie Madonna ever starred in. I used to work in a movie theatre so I had to tech-screen that movie. It opened on a Wednesday and 2 days later on that Friday we'd already cycled it out. God it was bad. I want those two hours of agony BACK!!
Rueben and Ed - If anyone ever saw this movie... wow. I watched it on a 10 hour bus ride in high school for a joint field trip with another school. One of the kid's dad/brother/mother/family member was in the movie. So we watched it. God was it horrible.
Spiderman 3 - I walked out.
Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail: I've had ppl try to get me to watch this. I pass out every time after the whole bunnies bit. @_@ They really shouldn't get me to watch that at 3am when I'm already tired.
I could make a HUGE list of colossally bad movies, but I'll think I'll spare myself the agony of reliving them.

The Silent Hill movie was pretty awful, at least from the second half onwards. Although when Alessa turned around and was on fire all bad-CG-like and said "I'm burning, mommy." or something to that effect... I think the half the theater started to laugh.

Currently watching I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry. And man, I'm only at 40 minutes but I wish it would be over already! This film is painfully boring, in every aspect and not funny at all. This type of 'humour' is more suited for Adam Sandler alone( i e; Click) but Kevin James..hmm..he shoulda stuck with King of Queens....

I once saw this movie called Saving Silverman on late night TV. Only sat through the first half of it due to numbness of brain (because I was sleep deprived) and being too lazy to turn it off. Later on it's horror finally got to me and convinced me to get up and turn off the TV.
And on a friend's birthday we saw European Gigolo 2 or something like that...I would call it the most pathetic waste of film and life of all times...if I didn't saw Saving Silverman later on.
I can't stand the Spiderman series for some reason...I think it's that actor. I had to convince myself not to walk out during the second movie.
the worst movie ever was 'nazi surfers must die'
basicly there are many surfer gangs (by gang i mean 3 people) and the biggest and meanest are the nazi surfers (6 people) and they terrorize the shore, in the end 3 other gangs join forces to beat them but only kill 2 nazies and get themselves killed.
in the end a fat black mama kill the rest of the nazies cuz they killed her son at the start of the movie. its a movie you just watch and dont belive how crappy it can be.

Shrooms. It's sooo bad, I couldn't go past the first 15 minutes.
Pirates of the Carribean 3. Couldn't watch past the first 30 minutes.
I watched Transformers on DVD in January. I absolutely despise it. It's so awful, I couldn't finish watching it. Everyone came to me and went, "OMG :wtf Transformers!" Seriously >_> It sucks. I didn't finish watching it. Spent maybe an hour in it. -_-

OK, a few that I have had teh misfortune to see...
First, from teh archives, Howard The Duck. It was a little cult film back in the 80s. it sucked so bad, I KNOW my IQ dropped a few points after watching it... utterly horrible...
Next, a more modern film... American Beauty. This movie was so awful that I actually got up and left the theater in teh middle of it. I was certainly glad that I had used a free pass to go see it, so I wasn't out any actual money. I really like Annette Benning adn Kevin Spacey, too... but this was a horrible movie choice for them... they did much better in the films The American President and K-PAX, respectively.
and finally, an animted movie... Fist Of The North Star. Now, i will preface this by saying that 90% of this movie is cool... super-strong fighters, crazy fights, and an interesting storyline... but the last 10 minutes are so brain-damaged that I have to say DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE! Avoid this kind of mental buttsecks. you'll be better for it. :D
And that's all I can think of right now... Trying to block out the traumatic memories. :D
Undying
04-01-2008, 07:03 PM
Not big on movies... but animated...
Neon Genesis Evangelion OAVs. I believe that my friend Sage said it perfectly; it's equal to mental sodomy with a chainsaw. And added on top is burning fuel. Srsly. Most awful movie(s) I have ever had the chance to look in.
On a sidenote, I don't believe PoTC 3 was so awful. It was sorta bad (too much talking, recycled plot from Curse of the Black Pearl - cursed ship hunting people, Jack being... Jack, Will and Elizabeth being their loving-couple self), but it had many highlights I believe covered for it. Comedy - Jack's illusions are officially awesome, the Brethren Court is the ideal rolemodel for politics today, etc.
On a PoTC note, PoTC: Dead Man's Chest is horrible. Terribad, as I like to call it. First, it's boring. Second, it's drawn out. The plotline doesn't make any sense for half the movie, and the whole compass business is annoying. And Davy Jones is an annoying character.

Komodo vs Cobra, it was a lot of lulz though even if that was not what was to be intended.
D-war.
the D is for dragon and i really doubt a dinosaur can beat a modern tank like that.
half the movie was about apache vs small dragons and the worst ending ever "we saved the world and created the good dragon, now we can be together!"
"no, we cant because by making the dragon i must die for unknown reasons. dont worry, you will find another true love that was destined for you from the begining of time, goodbye..."
"wait...i am stuck in the middle of nowhere, dragon-sama? can you give me a lift?"

The worst movies I ever seen was:
Fog: What was the point? I just don't understand the ending and it was cheesy. Repeat, cheesy...repeat again, just cheesy.
30 Days of Night: Should have been 30 seconds of stupidity.
Wolf Creek: Here I am watching the movie for at least 30 minutes. Getting tired of the dialogue, fast forwarded. Still more dialogue. Fast forward again, somebody almost got killed, they escaped, more dialogue. Fast forward again for the 3rd time, they running and still more dialogue. Fast forward to the end, dude get arrested........still more DIALOGUE!
Hills Have Eyes 2: Granted, I didn't hate part one but, part two.....I wanted EVERBODY to die. It's like, well first of all, when they got there and they saw nobody...actually just why. JUST WHY?
Last but not least.......
Beowulf: Where should I start. Actually let me break it down. Why did he sleep with the lady when he saw the baby she had the last time. griddle, graddle, I don't care! The boy came out wrong. Just...wrong. Next, we fast forward, actually just wrong is a great description. The movie was cheesy and hyped up to be nothing, NOTHING!
There are many more movies that I thought was just...yeah, just...yeah, but fortunately I can't remember them. When I do, I'll be back.
killer eye (i think that was the name)
this professor made a device that allow him to look to another dimension, he hire a homeless kid to look because the last one got blinded. the kid get infected by a alien from another dimension and his eye swallow and leave the body (killing the boy) then it continue to menace the building and have sex with the girls...yes, the eye have sex with 2 girls. how? ill leave that to your imagination. in the end they succeed to push that thing back into its dimension but in the end the girls seems to be parented...a sequel?
the eye gives a backrob to one of the girls...

Ghost Rider. I think I fell asleep in the middle of the movie, the part where Metistopheles (sp?) was talking to Nicholas Cage. I only enjoyed the parts with the young Johnny Blaze, since I thought he was cute.:love
I agree. I didn't understand anything at all. But I did like the ending, when Elizabeth tied Jack to the post to save the crew.
a bad movie I remember watching was "Live free and Die Hard"... not particularly crappy, but it was still rather bad. Computer nerds breaking the whole electronic system for some lame purpose (not sure what it was, though, but I remember it being very lame). Not to mention that the villain is probably the worse and lamest one I've ever seen in my life.
...The second worse one being that eco-freak from the simpsons movie, which was terribly boring, unfunny, cheesy and bland 2-hour (perhaps less though) episode of the show with the same recycled crap all over again. (to think that at a time the simpsons actually had good writing and good episodes)
I watched Transformers on DVD in January. I absolutely despise it. It's so awful, I couldn't finish watching it. Everyone came to me and went, "OMG :wtf Transformers!" Seriously >_> It sucks. I didn't finish watching it. Spent maybe an hour in it. -_-
aaah.. yeah I agree. This movie was so ridiculously overrated >_>
I didn;t think it was THAT bad that I'd fall asleep (though I could understand that) but the content was absolutely phail and shallow (and rather cheesy too...how many time did I use that word already?!) >_>
So yeah, I pretty much dislike all the movies I've watched during last summer!! ('cept for Ratatouille which I liked much)

I still cant compare any other movie as bad as Blood Rayne...and they had to go and attempt to make a second one that wasnt even released in theatres. I didnt like "There Will Be Blood" or "Bug" either <_< Eragon...well the book was better...usually is unfortunately...

I went through this whole thread and no one mentions MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE ?
For shame, THAT is the worst movie ever. You need to see it just because all other movies will look like gold in comparison. Not even Mystery Science Theater could make it funny.
.... and I liked The Golden Compass... both book and movie *sniffle*. I dearly hope The Subtle Knife (its sequel) gets made.

The Golden Compass; every person I went to the cinema to watch it with who hadn't read the book had no idea wtf was going on because they cut out such huge chunks of story.
The rest of the series being made into movies is doomed imo, I mean how are they going to get raising an army to attack Heaven, killing God in the process, and then killing his highest ranked Angel past the censors?

I've seen many a bad movie in my day--I'd consider myself a connoisseur, in fact, since there are some bad movies I find far more entertaining than a lot of Academy Award winners (like Death Wish 3, for instance). There's a certain charm and irony to those kinds of bad movies that I find irresistible.
Then, there's Cheats.
Cheats was an abomination. It wasn't just bad, or atrocious, or even plain shitty--it shouldn't have happened. I compare it to the Kyuubi in Naruto or the Menos Grande in Bleach, as Cheats was a blackhole of all the worst parts of every bad movie ever made.
The dialouge was complete shit; human beings do NOT talk like that. The characters were all unlikable in the most heinous and vulgar ways possible. The acting was atrocious. The writing was some of the worst I'd ever seen in any medium, at any point in my life, EVER. I know for a motherfucking fact that I could write a better script and I've never even done it before. And tying all this together was the condescending snarkiness behind the whole thing, in that those involved clearly believed the movie was entertaining on it's own merits.
This is the only movie I've ever seen which made me nauseous because it was so bad. Avoid it at all costs--it's the shit of monsters too evil for Hell.

Yours, Mine, and Ours...I remember paying like...$12 to watch it in a hotel...then feeling like I've been screwed. It was a terrible movie, and Dennis Quaid's acting was painful to watch.
Enchanted I watched this at the urging of 89% of my friends who said it was awesome. I had suspicions that Enchanted would be yet another typically cheesy Disney movie...and against my better judgement, I went anyway. It, IMO was a complete waste of a movie ticket.

I honestly can't think of too many totally terrible movies that I've seen. There are some like the recent Adam Sandler movies, like Chuck and Larry. The only reason I didn't walk out of it was Jessica Biel. and then there are the movies that are actually so bad that they are great. Suicide Club is one of those. It's so bad, with its trying be suspenseful and scary, that it acually becomes a really great movie. oh, but just about every single video game adaptation before 2000.

Scorpion King was pretty bad, I agree. I didn't even see any connection to the main The Mummy storyline. Basically, the only relevance it had was him getting stung by the scorpion, then it's durr hurr, watch him kick ass just because. :facepalm
Also, I thought Wanted was a waste of money. CURRRVING BULLETS. :facepalm :facepalm Not just that, but the story made little sense, as well. First, the two people who can slow down their perception of time are related. Then, not anymore; the guy who killed the main's "father" is the real dad. So, either they were random people who could coincidentally 'slow' time, or they just fabricated a lie for him. I enjoyed watching Morgan Freeman, though, at least.
1.) Norbit :devestated Complete crap. Utter fail. There are no words that adequately describe the horror of this film. I liked Eddie Murphy before this. Now I think he's lost his mind for churning out this sad, sad travesty.
2.) Catwoman :zomg Just so bad. Bad effects, bad acting, bad plot.
3.) Chuck and Larry :yell I like the guy from King of Queens and all, but this was explosive dog crap.

The top ones:
-All three of the Resident Evil movies (but yet like a train wreck, I could not look away... it was blind optimism that I thought they were going to get better. Whoops, silly me.)
-Anything past the first Saw movie.
-Primeval
-Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (I blame this on the fact that it was mostly plot and little of anything else. The only thing that saved the third one was the ending wedding scene. That is it, that is all.)
-Beowulf (the all cg one)
There's more, sure, but that's just the start of the list.

When a Stranger calls Remake: Scary, yes in the sense that it could really happen. But there was no sense of plot. Why the stranger tried to kill Jill is a mystery too me. I know it's a horror movie but, jeesh, the bad guy isn't believable if we don't know what he's after! Simply wanting to kill someone because you're a murderer in a horror movie just doesn't go well for me. I wanted to know why he killed so many innocent people. He targets women and children, he HID in the CHILDREN'S room and didn't even scratch them, unlike those other poor kids in the beginning of the film. To think I was afraid to watch it at first... Jill was acted very well though. The girl who played her did a VERY good job though. The original is stupid, too.
Diamond Dust Rebellion: I don't know why I just didn't like it. The ending theme was laughable almost. I'm just not a HUGE Hitsugaya fan, the only reason i watched it was for the very little IchiRuki moments. I didn't like it. I just didn't.
Bridge to Terabitheia: I don't know how to spell the last bit. But, killing the girl just killed me!! The movie was great and they killed her off like in the book, there was no need for that little girl to die! That ruined the whole thing for me and I lost interest right after that. Poor Leslie!!
