Well I gave it a 3/10, I'M not a Rukia fan, but that's ot the reason Ice belongs to Hitsugaya.. it would be better, if SnS would be water element and blue-white.. reflections.. she could use some pretty good tactic, with that ability Then she wouldn't need a bankai, to be able to fight in the Winter War. She's such a role model... ;_; *sniffles happily* Kubo Tite, you certainly have outdone yourself with this three-dimensional character. May you continue to write awesome Rukia kick-ass scenes. Amen to that! Her character is so empowering...her words, though some can be cliche, just resounds in my mind. Such wisdom! Such innocence! Very very powerful. Rukia's more of a strong woman type with a mischievous, innocent interior. Not the Orihime innocence, more like she's pure, still young. Rukia's had her fair share of conflicts near the beginning of her life (surviving in Rokungai, fighting, life-and-death scenarios, having to live up to Kuchiki expectations, etc.), so she's had to grow up quickly. I think she's locked that play-time innocence inside of her because her early life consisted of many hardships. Her past makes her who she is and I find that simply awesome. She doesn't take shit from anyone and stands up for herself and her friends. Always puts others before her; not selfish at all. ;_; I wish I had an older sister like her...meh.

She wins me over with her aura and words, not appearance. A very nice drink of fresh water...not like the usual "damsel-in-oh-so-distress, where's-my-shining-knight?. Rukia did have some moments of these, but not too much so it's all good in my book :D

That's exactly what make a character like Rukia memorable and awesome -- one that evoke strong emotions and reactions; one who is greatly loved and occastionally not so. As a character what you do not what to be is vanilla, one people generally like but doesnt really feel passionate about otherwise. Although it cant be as bad as if you are like because you boobs are considered the biggest :cool:
Youruichi as awesome as she is reminds me of a Bond girl and there chaaracters like her in other manga, so she got minus point for not being the most original. In Manga/Anime world there's only one Rukia :love

My personal favorite is both Rukia and Inoue. There is just a few reasons why Rukia is the popular favorite here, going from reasonable to the awful yet painful truth:

1) Rukia is the one who set Ichigo on this path through Bleach.
2) Bleach had been intended to be IchiRuki from the beginning, but it's evident that Kubo changed the pairing because Inoue almost kissed Ichigo (it is degrees of physical love evident in the manga that make a pairing more able to happen. If you have a gripe with this reasoning, PM me.)
3) Rukia is the one who generally drags Ichigo's head out of his ass.
4) Rukia has the coolest zanpakuto (my opinion, though)

But the most true reason ever is that:

Ichi/Ruki is overrated. So overrated it makes me puke.

I've already voted (Rukia) but one thing I really love about Bleach is that it has so many interesting and strong female characters--but all in different ways. A lot of times in comics, the role a girl character gets is Token Girl, instead of The Kickass One or The Healer or The Techie or whatever. As if "girl" is a character type all in its own. She is understandably the most popular female since she receives more panel time for character development. What puzzles me is that Halibel and Matsumoto are almost on par! :eek: Nothing against this result though. Just a curious fan.

Among the many reasons why people like Matsumoto, one of them would be that she defies the role of stereotypical female with big boobs, implying little of anything between the ears, in most manga portrayal. Instead, she is quite capable, being VC and managing operations during the SS arc. She's also intuitive and sensitive to people around her, managing to be a big-sister figure to many. The pain she bears from Gin's betrayal only makes her an even more sympathetic character.

I like Halibel's design but she hasn't appeared all that much. I don't get why she's insanely popular. Just like the Ichigo/Hitsugaya popularity thing. :confused: Is it something as simple as more zealous Halibel fans? Or is there some fanon version of Halibel I am unaware of?
