Welcome to the fanclub dedicated to the romantic relationship between, Ishida and Nemu from Bleach! I love this ship and I’m hoping that it happens because well… IshiNemu is love. :)

So if you like/love/adore IshiNemu, this is the place for you!

If you read the fanclub and want to discuss something that was said then sort it out via PM or elsewhere, do NOT go into that fanclub and start a war. Anyone posting in a pairing fanclub that isn't a fan will almost automatically recieve a ban.

*You can discuss other pairings but when others discuss your pairing negatively and you don't like it sort it out through pm, if you break the above rule to start a flame war it's an instant ban.

To be frank, i'm still not on the IshiNemu bandwagon yet; but i will like to say on how much Mayuri's character is being given a depth - much more than we imagined him to be.

So...i do not think there will be a redemption on the part of Mayuri, because i think he is just a misjudged person. However, IshiNemu will create less hostility between quincies and shinigami. That's all i can say about that pairing for now. I dunno, i think the interaction is funny and all...it is just a matter of time before i'll squee over it.

However, i do have a certain affinity to IshiNemu because Ishida was really cute in SS arc when he actually fought for her honour and they exchanged simple but meaningful interactions. [The same goes for IshiHime - which i dunno if i should join..] Nevertheless, i had never thought that it will be materialized in any way at all, as i thought it was crack. Then the fillers, and then Mayuri saving Ishida's ass..I was like yes, possible but i'm not shipping it yet.

Happy to say that I bought this volume and totally LOVED seeing Ishida and Nemu as an inbetween drawing. I was really hoping we'd get a scene between them, and Kubo didn't fail me! Hehe, glad we got fly to see the light, or at least I'm glad Kubo's drawing got fly to see the light. Kubo seems to be an IshiNemu shipper. He loves putting these two in really blush inducing situations. I love that Ishida's sweating and shaking. Nemu affects him THAT much. But who could blame him, he just got a mouthful of her boobs. XD You know, I'm wondering if those were just straps of cloth covering him. I thought before he was wearing some kind of spandex thing.

There's more to the pairing than that (however, that's a huge advantage to it:heehee). That's the connection with Mayuri and the Quincy (especially Uryuu's grandfather), both of their parents aren't the nicest people on Earth so there goes the Romeo and Julia effect (one would think there will be some serious tension between Mayuri and Ryuuken due to M. killing Quincy-jii off), there's the angst Uryuu could feel when he comes to like Nemu (she's a shinigami after all, and the daughter of his grandpa's murderer) and there's Nemu's side of course, Uryuu treating her like a human even when they were enemies, even being protective when Mayuri bitchslapped her could mean so much to her under her usually emotionless facade.

Just a couple of ideas. Unfortunately I haven't seen too much of it in fanfics, just some 'I can't love her, she's a shinigami' thing before the big fat PWP scene. (not that I mind those:heehee, just need a little bit deeper fics as well).

Well since I missed out on the IshiNemu discussion here when Kubo gave us IshiNemu from 304-307, might as well share some thoughts here. This is in response to a question in another forum, "Will IshiNemu Save Mayuri?"

Definitely agree with that. It's wild, when I read the SS arc, Mayuri was my least fave character. He was one who I could see actually biting the dust and I wouldn't mourn him. Just that what he did to the Quincies was horrendous. However come to think of it, the Shinigamis, not just Mayuri are just as guilty. They were the ones who rounded the Quincies up and allowed them to be experimented upon. Mayuri had approval from the powers that be at SS because what he was doing was supposed to be for the greater good of SS.

That said, it was still hard to like him then. I even thought that the next time we saw him, it would be in the Winter War where he meets his end at the hands of Ryuuken, Ishida's father. What the son couldn't finish off, the father will in order to avenge the grandfather. However, at the same time, we have to realize that Ishida's grandfather didn't lay the blame on the Shinigamis either and that would include Mayuri. So he may not approve of the fact that Ishida and Ryuuken (well more Ishida) are motivated by revenge.

What gave me pause was revisiting Ishida and Nemu's interaction after the end of the Ishida vs Mayuri fight at SS. Nemu was truly glad that Ishida spared her father. Even though he told Nemu he didn't intend to miss, he still took note that Nemu cared for Mayuri despite his treatment of her. Maybe Ishida could relate to that. Not that Ryuuken physically abuses him (LOL well except for the training, but that was for a good 'cause) but Ryuuken never really was the "Quincy" father Ishida expected him to be. My point is that even if Ishida and Ryuuken's relationship isn't great, Ishida wouldn't want him dead. (Ryuuken's another story, his tough love approach did make him say something along the lines that he could care less if Ishida died in HM) XD

So it came as a surprise to me that of all the people Kubo could have chosen to save Ishida (and Renji), it was Mayuri and Nemu. That is the irony of irony. Ishida saved by the one who experimented on his grandfather. What's strange is that there wasn't any animosity between Ishida or Mayuri. Their interaction was more comedic. They seriously fight like in-laws. I do believe that Mayuri respects Ishida's power as a Quincy. I also think that he knows that Ishida cares for Nemu and I think he likes that. In a way, I wonder if Ishida was the first one who saw Nemu as someone of worth, and not just as Mayuri's creation. In a way, it's a success for Mayuri because Nemu having some sort of relationship with Ishida makes her more like a real person and not just something Mayuri created in the lab. Ishida...humanizes Nemu and in turn Mayuri. LOL I'm so not making sense.

I don't think Ishida exacting revenge against Mayuri is possible after this. Actually I think it's been impossible since Nemu said she was thankful that Ishida didn't kill him. Ishida wouldn't want to hurt Nemu. Killing Mayuri would have done that back then and now. I think he's outraged that Mayuri planted bacteria in him to spy on him, but his outrage probably stemmed more from Mayuri probably finding out that Ishida polishes his Seele Schneider while saying Nemu's name. XDDD

I always find personality match up appealing in manga. A lot of the times you get extremes of each personality to find chemistry (i.e. the sweet innnocent girl and jerk, the perverted guy and naive girl), but Ishida Nemu has less extremes than most couples I find appealing, and somehow still have the opportunity for great interaction.

Ishida being the cold calculating one, while Nemu sorta seems a little cold and unfeeling herself. Nemu, with the personality of Mayuri (I think the division stuff in the Official bootleg had this information), her smarts doesn't really seem at odds with Ishida nerdy persona despite the shady past of Mayuri being responsible for Ishida's grandfather's death and toture, however she's not exactly a perfect match. The idea that she's the perverted one while Ishida seems like the more naive personality. In short I think it touches on reversing cliches while still adhering to some. Its a mix of everything. I'm not saying its canon at all, but it does have potential to be fun.

On a serious note, I really like that Kubo allowed Nemu to be the one present when Ishida was at his weakest and strongest. She knows that her father experimented on Ishida's grandfather. It's possible she understood Ishida's need for revenge. Nobody else was given that knowledge. Yet through it all she chose to save him.

I always love re-reading that. It's just so intimate between them. I don't think Ishida has had a serious convo like that with any other woman but Nemu. I also like that in some ways, Nemu being glad her father was alive helped Ishida's father issues as well. Made him realize his father isn't as bad especially in comparison to Mayuri. Same blood after all.

Yes, the boob incident is what makes us see them (especially him:XD) being awkward around each other, but if I focus on that SS scene (thanks for the links Nocturne, it was so good to re-read it!:hug) their conversation seems natural, especially since it's their first time meeting and that they are supposed to be enemies. Quite sweet, if you ask me (especially that solemn 'Goodbye', I didn't remember that one, but it made me smile for no reason.:) )

Haha, that "goodbye" scene made me think of another "goodbye" scene as well. What's cool is that goodbyes in Kubo's world isn't forever. So glad he brought these two back together in the HM arc. It still floored me that Mayuri was the one who bailed his future-son-in-law Ishida out. Then we get the bonus of Nemu's boobs in Ishida's face to boot. LOL if these two get married and argue, Nemu has a foolproof way of shutting Ishida up. XD

I'm not sure, it just seems to work whenever I think about it. I mean, it'd obviously be hella amusing, 'cause whenever Mayuri and Uryu encounter each other it's always interesting, epecially in Hueco Mundo. I think the main reason I could see it happening is because Uryu's the only one who's ever shown Nemu kindness, and she might not know quite what to make of that. Mayuri, I think, on some level might encourage this- if only for the research data! Imagine it! A Quincy and an artificial Soul Reaper! Fascinating!
Just run when he mentions dissection and you kids should be alright.
