"Blizzard Working On Totally Awesome New Game"

While chatting with Gamasutra, Blizzard's Frank Pearce revealed that Blizzard have three teams currently at work. One's toiling away on WoW. Another is toiling away on Starcraft 2. The third? It's a secret, says Pearce.

Team 3 is working on something really awesome. I can't give you any hints, but it's totally awesome.

A game so totally awesome it must be kept a secret from us all? Sounds fab.

Sounds interesting.. I hope it's Diablo 3 ^_^

I would love to see a Lost Vikings 3 but I really doubt they are working on it:D.
Seriously, I suppose they are working on some kind of Diablo 3.
Another idea I have is a MMORPG in the world of Diablo (World of Diablo ?)
Anyway, whatever Blizzard is working on is bound to be awesome.

Lol. Diablo would the next big blizzard game in the line, so it's possible. I don't know why they would do this to us :rolleyes:, but I guess they will make us wait to see whatever it is.

As much as I'd love to see Diablo 3 (I still play D2 with LoD) I would very much like to see them come up with a completely new game.

I know they haven't finished milking the SC, WC, D franchises but I think it'd be nice and fresh to get a new world.

Naw. New = risk. Old and reliable = money. Milk it for all it's worth is way franchises go nowa days. Diablo 3 would kick as much ass in sales as SCII is going to. XD

Totally awesome reminded me of the awesomeness they spoke of when starcraft ghost was announced.
Lets just hope this new game doesn't go in that direction.

Oh boy, If it's Diablo 3.. I'm bound to play it at least once a day :rolleyes: shiit, even if I'm juggling college and 2 jobs I'll play it xD Diablo 2 was the BEST of it's kind back in the day. I hope they do a really good job on this, but knowing Blizzard, they always succeed :D

Even Diablo 2 still has replay value today. They just reset the ladder and now everyone I know and their children are playing this game again. It's insane. Though seems like most Blizzard games are like that. You just can't get enough.

Personally, I want to see D3 in a different format and be better than WoW. A different format than D2 that is. It's going to suck seeing people get their lives swallowed by the game, but my god I'm sure it's worth the play :D You only live once, enjoy yourself ;)

Diablo 1 will always win in creepiness factor IMO. It was so dark that you couldn't see any enemies a few feet away ... and you couldn't run!!! XD Even after playing D2, D1 scared me much, much more.

I hope if it is D3, they make it as spooky as D1 but similar (but of course better) to D2. With all three Prime Evils dead though, I wonder who the enemy would be ...

Diablo 1 for the psone was even worse. Not only was it still super dark, 2 player mode was horrible. Both people had to stay on the same screen! No split screen like there should have been. :/ Guess that's why there was no D2 for the ps2. lol. To much hassle.

I'm sure they will think of some more satanic bosses for D3. There is plenty of them out there. Or at least variations of them.

I'm not really sure about this. It's been a long time that I haven't been that thrilled by a Blizzard game. Must say it sucked badly when the old devs went away.
