This came as quite a surprise to me, for i had known the release was not supposed to be until the second of september.
as you can see, this is not the picture of grimmjow with his blazing middle finger, which is unfortunate.
But on the whole, i found it to be an interesting volume, even though it does depict the death of shawlong, whom is among my favorite characters, by one of my least favorite.
But it does pave the way for Ichigo to obtain the mask.
and volume 24 also contained a sticker of ichigo, which is a nice bonus as well as the third popularity poll...
I don't think i'll ever understand why the japanese love certain character types.

That's the japanese cover, though.
A small disparity between the actual and official releases isn's so unusual. ^^
ceria- the street dates in VIZ SJ releases are always the first tuesday of the moth, but the bookstores get them in the weekend before the weekend they come out (in general), so many bookstores may put them out them :XD
especially online, that si the time they become available XD
Its a good volume, not many changes, no real art edits from what i could see
sucks how much they change the volume poem
sucks they change vizards to visoreds also (but thats next volume):sweat

This is news to me :facepalm
and for some reason i thought this cover had the middle finger, and i remember seeing something a while back about a cover with grimmjow's finger being edited, so maybe i put two and two together and got the wrong answer haha...

Nah, my friend had the japanese volume, it's the same pose.
his pose is a homage to Gamma Akutabi from Zombie Powder, whom GJ greatly resembles, and who took that pose in the cover of the first volume of that manga.

The middle finger cover was a chapter cover somewhere down the line--this is the volume cover. I hadn't noticed it was a Zombie Powder homage but yeah, GJ is so totally Gamma.

Really? For once Viz and I agree then. I've been championing the Visored spelling since way back when! :)

Visored makes more sense, as it implies the wearing of something over the face. ^^
What is a "Vizard" anyway? ^^

really, is visored a more accurate trans or something
I'd be ok with it, if the didn't already have vizard in the previous volume
like have some continuity already, lol

We who follow fan translations really have no right to bitch about continuity. :P
Remember how many different ways we've seen the spellings for:
Vasto Lorde
Ulquiorra
Szayel Aporro Grantz
Arrancar
... Kubo's writing style just draws from sources that are difficult to translate from Japanese. ^^
well, that is certainly true, but all those changes come after some kind of official spelling
vizard has been around for ages, and i didnt hear of Kubo saying visored was the official one or anything
and if they got the official, why didn't they do it before the last volumes where it was already used "incorrectly'

*looks up* Ew, a spambot. Any mods online now? x_x
For those asking what a vizard is, yes, it's actually a real word (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/vizard), albeit pronounced viz'rd rather than vy-zard.
I prefer to ignore the rules of English pronounciation and romanise vaizaado as vizard because it simply looks cooler, but eh, visored's fine as well. And it's not like I'm gonna buy American manga. (Or any more Bleach tankoubon while it's still in its current direction, but that's a different matter.)

What was the Viz official translation for Vasto Lorde, Gillian and Adjuchas anyways? They're like the only three Arrancar terms that have no apparent Spanish connotations. (Yet.)

You know, I think I might do that too. I hate the way the translations are done, as well as the edits, and it's not like Kubo needs my money. This isn't Shaman King. In the first place, the volume isn't anything special IIRC. Nor is the Arrancar arc as a whole IMO.
At the same time, though, the fact that he'll make plenty either way makes my protest a moot point. And I need a hardcopy while I'm on the john. Hmm...

Vasto Lorde, Gillian and Adjuchas are the ones VIZ uses, so far

Ahhh Come on guys! You've got to buy the volume to at least have the other bookend to Gamma Akutabi on Zombie Powder Vol 1! Plus it's Grimmjow! MEOW!
Anyway, I tend to agree with the consensus that Bleach is kinda fail right now. I was thinking he might be 20 volumes away from finishing but, I kinda want him to hurry up and finish Bleach and possible go back to Zombie Powder **WISHING REALLY HARD**

^ I really, really doubt that. He himself said he felt it was crap, and he was dealing with emotional trauma while writing it. That experience may keep him from ever touching it again.
I'd love to see how everyone would look in his current style though. :/

As much as I enjoyed Zombie Powder, when I felt curious about KT's previous work, and felt sorry it was cut so short, and would rather enjoy knowing how the story would unfold and be over with... the idea of the end of Bleach, to me is... ah... like a spider.
... Sounds wierd?... The catch is I have aracnophobia X(

Those are the terms they use in english as well. This volume is a lot more of nothing imo but at least it has a cool cover.

I buy the shonen jumps from some dude for like a dollar I don't know why he even subscribes he just takes the yugioh cards out and he just ignores the manga. The last time I went to him he told me he threw them all away and he had like every shonen jump released in america :cry very depressing imo.
