Hi everyone, I'm the new owner of the FC. Space asked me if I wanted to take over and how can I refuse? Ishida is my favorite character! I'll fix up the first post with a new banner and info soon. Louisiana is about to be hit by a category five hurricane and I want to get a pretty first post up before we lost power. Any fanart suggestions? Post your favorite Ishida arts. I'm not exactly a fan, it's not a kind of art I look for, but I'm bound to catch some yaoi videos on youtube, when I randomly search for new stuff on Ishida. The thing is, one of these doujinshi videos had the art so close to the original Ishida, I started having a flashback of his expression while taking it on the wrong end, everytime I would see him on the anime... o.O It's awkward, to say the least, you know, watching Ishida, in all his self righteousness and don't-talk-to-me attitude, along with the stiff pose and ever adjusting spectacles, while talking back to Ichigo, then suddenly having this image of him blushing and panting Ichigo's name instead! Even though it has been getting less frequent, I don't think I'll ever see Ishida the same way. Though it was not every yaoi that has caused this, just that particular one, because the art was just so close to the original, my mind must have had trouble separating the real Ishida from it. But it's not like I hate yaoi, I take art as what it is, but I can't say I'd like to pair Ishida with the same gender neither. But I don't mind looking at yaoi art, though, apparently, the farthest they stay from the original design of the characters, the best it is for me to avoid unwelcome side effects during what would otherwise be serious moments on the manga and anime... >.>'

You guys are all Ishida fans ofcourse so let me ask you something. Ishida was said by Kubo in an interview to be a rival for Ichigo. But why is it that Ishida doesn't seem to want anything to do with Ichigo unless its absolutely necessary and also why is Ishida so much weaker that Ichigo.

Seems like an odd combonation of character traits for a supposed rival of a character.

Ichigo and Ishida's relationship is of friendly rivalry. They didn't started out as friends but now they are comrades, nakama and they go through thick and thin together.

Ishida did challenge Ichigo at the beginning of the series. That was also because he hated the shinigamis at that time and so, he challenged Ichigo. He wanted to prove that the Quincies are not weaker than the shinigamis.

And one more thing, Ishida is not so much weaker than Ichigo. He has the brains, the intellect, the patience that Ichigo lacks. He has strategy in his fights, unlike Ichigo who fights by using sheer strength and powers.

I am a bigger fan of Ichigo but I also like Ishida. Something as obvious like the potential and differences of the two men, sorry, I can't help but to post this.

While I wish we'd get to see all the characters together before the end of the year, I really doubt they will. It would be awesome to get to see ishida before the new year, especially since its been so long since we've seen him.

Yes I suppose that is true but I really think the ending will have most [if not all] of the main characters fighting it out togethor. The others are going to get out of HM soon enough [probably with Grimmjaw's help] and that will be just dandy as they will all be in Karakura then.

Ishida will be back because he has to be there when Ryuuken and Ishiin turn up. :D

I'm hoping we will see Ishida in the new year. I think even before we see the rest of the HM gang, Kubo owes us some Ishida time. It would seem really strange to me not seeing Ishida or at least a glimpse of him before we get into the Ulq vs Ichi fight. I still wonder where he was when everyone showed up to fight off the Exequias. His skills wouldn't be useful to Unohana, but maybe his smarts are working on a way to unblock the gargantua? :headscratch

Yes I suppose perhaps Ishida could kill a few more people in HM once Unohana has healed him.
I don't see him opening Garguanta as I think Grimmy is going to do that but yes, I am sure his smarts will come into play and Mayuri will hate him for it :amuse
