Nell Tu is a female arrancar toddler who lives in the desert of Hueco Mundo with her adoptive hollow brothers, Dondo Chakker and Pesshe, and their pet, Bawabawa. She wants "The NellDonde Bandits" to be the title of their group. The remains of her hollow mask make up a cartoony skull on the top of her head. Her hollow hole is obscured by her clothing, which consists of a simple gown.

Nell's appearance is in stark contrast to her vocabulary, which contains a number of bizarre phrases and words one wouldn't expect such a small child to know. For example, she refers to herself as a masochist and calls her uvula a "throat penis". Ichigo assumes her hollow companions are responsible for this. Nell and her companions also represent oddities among hollows. Though most hollows are evil, Nell actually fears shinigami, assuming they are in fact the evil ones. In spite of this, she develops an attachment to Ichigo and follows him into Las Noches. After Ulquiorra almost kills Ichigo she blames herself for his condition.

Nell does not carry a zanpakutō, but has the unique ability to swallow enemy attacks and fire them back with powerful force, indicated by the eyes on her skull mask glowing.[5] She also has the ability to heal others with her saliva.

yeah, I'd love if they extend the fight abit, and there is a good bit to go through in the first few chapters before her transformation, and the anime ahs doen better about not removing crap, but i still remember earlier epsidoes where they removed scenes just for time

Yes they did but I think thanks to the fillers and the lack of being close to were manga is they should want to and have plenty of time to extend on things. I would like to see what nel did to those hallows in the flashback were she saved Nnoitora like if she does here double blast or just slices them to bits.

I would enjoy Nnoitra and Nell fillers, but we all know that's just me. Though in all actuality the extension might make for something fun. Maybe it would develop Nell a little more, even if it's only the anime it could amuse me. When the fillers are done right (Forest of Menos) I really enjoy them.

I hope that wouldn't be the instance. But we're pretty limited on instances here. They can't fool around with too many characters because Kubo likes to contradict them. (When Orihime was in Ichigo's room in the fillers he pointed out in the manga she'd never been there before- something he wanted to fix basically) So the character limit are her fraccion and Nnoitra so it'd probably involve him. Maybe they could fight......again xD

Even stupid fillers with Nell and the other arrancar would amuse me- but something tells me the anime team might actually stay consistent and keep the arrancar as dark as possible. (The omake seem to be the only exception to the depressive story rule) I really hope they do. Though it'd be a cool idea to expand on the mission with Aizen if they had to make a filler episode. You know in 312 where they go to the colony? They could maybe do the whole thing and that would be pretty cool. :)

:52 - 1:01 Has a really neat and general animation style- I think if Nell was given animation like that even her face could be slightly shown and it would work. They focus a lot on the bottom of faces in this opening so doing that for nell in the new one would be so cool!

Pierrot messes up with characters for sure. Nel is a special one. I don't think she's easy to interpret. And since they can't interpret many characters, I'm guessing they'll fail with Neliel too. :rolleyes:

Actually if you'll recall as with after dark it was the one opening that was for the anime and then maybe 4 episodes devoted to promoting to the movie, so yeah. Let's hope they can interpret Nell correctly though, and make her fun to watch. ^^

I don't think they will only show Nel for a split second in the next opening. Infact i think the next opening is going to be arrancar focus.
Nel is going to make a huge impact in the story line soon. She transforms into an adult, she fights Noi and protects Ichigo. I wouldn't be suprised if she even features in the ending XDDDDDD

Well It looks like I missed the start of the new version.......Well here's a belated double:yay:yay for V3:D.

Anyway, I'm with Mel Nel&Neliel could potentially have alot of screen time in the next op and ending. But I still think the shadowed adult Nel will be shown on the sands of HM for a couple seconds with the dramatic(slower) part of the song.

And like Rain I do hope her voice is awesome, but as GB says we have another chance in the dub later.

Well I have to say I like the adult nels voice in the game she does not sound like little nel she sounds like someone diffrent all in the same I like it and would accept it.

Since the arc is the HM arc(even though it seemed like the were gonna die arc) it would not make any since if they did not get a form of opening and ending.

I am too excited about this to honestly say I'd stop watching. Unless they frick up Nell like they did Hisana in the dub I have nothing to keep me from it. The art could be shit..but this is my favorite part of the manga and even though I viciously rape Studio Pierrot if they screw up, I'll still watch. @__@

I certainly prefer it when the japanese voice is better. This is because the quality of the dub is usually bad even if it's better. I'm astounded that I prefer the dub voices in my head to most people. Like I imagine Uryu and Orihime in their dub voices (except for the confession scene) Oh man Nnoitra's is so awesome Nell's better be! All the Espada are kickin' ass cept NEll who we're just hopin' on!

Lol, honestly those three Voice actors you picked are the same ones I use for reading Nels scenes when I reread stuff and I use Luci Christians voice as well.

Anyway, though its kinda disappointing since the dub people might have to reuse a voice actress for Nel 'cause it happens alot. Well if this does happens I hope that the voice actress is a good one.

Also Mira Karen Thompson is also Rangiku's voice actor in bleach I think its an alias or something, Voice actors do that sometimes.

I still think Nel is everything but oblivious. Come on, she is a woman, every woman knows the attractiveness of their bodies or at least faces. She has never said anything about it, because she doesn't care. I'm not sure if that means she doesn't know.

20 years? Okay here's my speech.

40 years ago Rukia was adopted by Byakuya and put into Squad 12. Kaien was her sensei and then after say 20 years of learning (maybe less) he was killed and then eaten by Aerinero. My reasoning for saying 20 years (though my best estimate is 30 and only ten years training with Kaien) is that Jar head ate a hollow Aizen was using as a test subject (something he wouldnt get permission to eat) and it returned to Hueco Mundo, not Las Noches. Jar Head ate it and thus got Kaien! Since Jar Head has been an Espada since well the beginning of time I'm using him as a control. Nnoi was second gen (but perhaps Nell was first and Zommari included her in the espada who were gone) so the fair estimate is that around the time that Jar Head ate Kaien he'd been an Espada for a long time and knew enough about the hollow to want to eat it. Nell was likely an Espada at that time by fair estimation because she had been third and probably even later than second gen, same for Nnoitra. Aizen was experimenting 100 years ago and Jar Head was a first gen, so this means that the earlier mention of Nell being first gen? Impossible, even second is impossible because Dordonii doesn't recognize her. (I was trying to confuse you XP) And is weaker than Nell in a fair power comparison. So looking as a fair control considering the last first gen ate a serious advancement shows us that the advancements of Aizen were very far along, and that Nell likely was created around then or a little before simply because she is powerful and it fits the development scene.

So Szayel had been an Espada, got kicked out then became an Espada again but we don't know what his previous rank had been. I don't think he's much older than Nel or Nnoi, I think he had been an Esp. at the same time as them and got kicked out a couple of months before Nnoi kicked Nel out of LN.

GB - When Nel first transformed she had long hair as a kid. IMO Pesshe and Dondochakka cut it so it wouldn't become unmanagable later. When she trasformed back IMO Kubo changed it just cuz she looked better with it.

Yes, for a child like her it was very mature. She acted like a great friend-she wasn't scared because after all she doesn't know Ichigo for long yet she motivated Orihime in an interesting for her way. She wasn't just a burden-at least she helped and appeared to do something serious.
