Entertainment Salon - Birthday Party!

This is the place where the entertainment takes place:uhuh - Everything, from a dance hall to a Casino and even an Arcade are here. If you can think of it, it's here.

As a special presentation, the Segunda Espada will recite poetry every two hours, so be sure to avoid this thread at that time.

Katai strode into the entertainment section, still wearing his absurd outfit and creepy Soutaicho mask. It was a hard choice between this and the and the buffet hall, but he could get good food and booze in Soul Society. An arcade was a bit harder to come by. Looking at the various electronic games, pinball machines, and the like, Katai was intrigued. He tried one briefly: some absurd thing called "Elephant Rave", but he beat it rather quickly and was left stumped by the curious message at the end.

But over in the corner, he found something very odd. A game titled "Bleach: something or the other". It was apparently a fighting game of some sort based on some anime series in the living world or something. It looked fun, if only Katai had someone to play it with. He really wanted to try out that "Aizen" character the game had, he looked cool.

[Kaoru Miyazaki]

Bael offered his arm to Kaoru as the two of them walked into the Dance Hall. Kaoru smiled brightly and slipped his arm through his boyfriend's, resting his hand on the other's forearm gently. The heels of his white boots made gentle noises with each step he took on the smooth floor. As the entered, Kaoru leaned his head over and rested it against Bael's firm shoulder.

The entire hall was brightly lit and lavishly decorated. A large chandelier hung from the vaulted cieling, alight. Gentle music filled the air as a symphony played on a raised pedestal near the front of the hall. Everything just seemed perfect, like a dream.

Bael smiled softly and glanced sideways at his partner. Kaoru's eyes were slightly wide as he took in their surroundings. It was refreshing to see him like this. For once, he wasn't crushed under a mound of stress or insecurity. The stronger shinigami untangled their arms, slipping his around Kaoru's hip instead. "Well, shall we dance, Ruru?", he asked.

Kaoru stopped feasting his eyes and blinked as he felt Bael seperate their arms. He was about to ask if something was wrong when he felt that same arm wrap itself around his hip. Then he looked up at the taller shinigami as Bael asked him to dance. A smile claimed his lips as he nodded. "Of course, dear."

Kiso was out of place here, he only wants to listen to the Segunda Espada's archaic poetry. He was chanting a prayer under his breath which hoped Kizer would get laid tonight, if Roja taped the entire scene he would watch it every day to get a good laugh. He laughed a bit at his ideas and decided to play something at the Arcade to kill some time. He played a game called "Elephant Rave" he passed it after five tries, and got addicted to it. He achieved a high score TWICE while he laughed maniacally as he dodged the beams of light. He wouldn't budge from his stand. Even the last message pleasured Kiso since he understood that elephants were insulted worldwide because of their size and abnormal noses.

Lana stood at the side of the main hall, looking around for interesting men with interesting valuables.

Durante entered the entertainment salon, which, despite its name didn't seem to be particularly entertaining. He wandered into the area housing the Grand Ballroom (please tell me there's a grand ballroom?) and watched the orchestra setting up.

Kotone actually didn't have the safe teleportation that everyone else did, infact he had landed straight flat on his face and landed the big finger to the vallay. Kotone was pretty mad...an emotion he never expressed in public, that is until he landed flat on his...his new cometic surgery face...his white face...that was still not fully completed...thus it created an emense pain...as pain shot up every nerve in the face...yep...extreme pain...yep.

So Kotone heard about some poetry...he had done some of his own...and wondered if he could try it...but he had missed the first one he guessed because he had to wait for some time. Thus he went to the arcade...something he never experienced as a child....needlessly to say..the kid got hooked like a crack addict on adrenaline. After playing some games, he had two left, he walked over and see a guy who seemed to be the crack adict I mentioned earlier, his hair was a mess and well...he was drooling over the arcade machine...something about getting high score. Kotone somewhat now experienced took a shot at the game: "elephant rave" and instantly broke all of the high scores...somewhat on crack himself, he laughed at the drooling arcade drone...and yelled into his ear...."YOU!" and then whispered..."suck" :p lol. It was truly some madness in this arcade, every person that touched a machine was instantly hyped up like some higher being had embedded crack into the machines for thier own twisted enjoyment....well....it works for me! (yes me...half...yes I no....its very parraleellll universy to-day!"

Walking into the Entertainment Salon Tenaku took a quick look at everyone. Some were dancing while others played games. There were others but he didn't see them all to well. Looking over to the arcade he walked over. He hadn't played any of these games in forever. He never had the time anymore. With a smile head went right for the pinball machines, wanting to try his luck there first.

After several games, most of them with bad scores, he moved on. Walking farther he noticed systems hooked up to tvs. Looking around a bit he thought that it wasn't the greatest use of his time and left the arcade section. Suddenly something caught his eye. Looking to his side he could see a bowling alley! (You said they had everything!) Running over to the closest lane he cared not to draw attention to himself at this moment. Finding himself a bowling ball he grabbed a pair of bowling shoes, slipping into them, and went to the lane. With his first throw he got himself a strike. "Yeah! Strike!" He jumped up happily waiting for the ball to return so he could get another strike.

"I suck? Frankly, I own you in every game that has ever existed, my brains are one with my soul, it's impossible to win against moi" Kiso said to Kotone in an arrogant fashion. "I at least achieved a new High Score TWICE. Beat it!" Kiso continued raving with the elephant and watching the "Love, Life, Misunderstandings, Weird Noses" for the seventh time.

[Kaoru Miyazaki]

Kaoru slowly moved around so that he was now standing in front of Bael, facing him. Bael's arm was still wrapped around his lower back. He raised both of his arms, placing one hand on Bael's shoulder and interlocking the fingers of his free hand with Bael's own. Their difference in height was now more noticable. Bael was at least a foot taller than the purple-haired shinigami. Not that it really mattered to them.

Bael smiled as the gentle music became more prominent for them. He started to move his feet, taking the lead as always. His partner began to follow his movements in turn. Past experiences had given them both a sense of perfect syncrinization. It was very fortunate because, should Kaoru mistep, those heels of his would really hurt. But that wasn't the situation.

The seperated ends of Kaoru's gown flared out around his legs as he moved. His long hair swayed gently with the constant movement. Though his eyes were closed, there was still a smile on his lips. He trusted Bael's lead entirely. Whenever his boyfriend twirled him in a circle, his body moved accordingly and the stunt was executed without flaw. But there was one move that still caught him off guard. Bael shifted their bodies, supporting Kaoru's weight with the arm on his lower back, dipping him down.

(OOC: To be continued! Blah, sappy Yaoi romance. Go ahead, shoot me if you feel you must or if you just want to. It won't stop me. Hehehehehe. :p)

Quite an interesting selection of people here, it seemed. Katai recognized at least one of them as one of his squadmates, and gave Kauro a wave. He was dancing with a large figure Katai didn't recognize. It took Katai a bit to realize that Kauro was dancing with another man.

"Well, that's something I never knew about him before now."

Katai decided to look for the Segunda Espada. Katai had never heard arrancar poetry before. Normally he wasn't a big fan of poetry in general, but he figured arrancar poetry must be something special. A being that had descended from a Hollow must have incredible insights on the darkness within all human souls, and as such should be able to create poems that would stir and touch the even the hardest of hearts. Katai would probably never get another chance to hear something so incredible or unique.

Roja was in the target room. When she warped to the party saloon while she was explaining the Quinta Espada a methos of irritating Kizer, she lost track of them both and was... lonely. She took a bunch of darts and launched them perfectly in the bullseye imagining the target was either Kizer or that crazy specter who never gave her candy. After finishing the round, she took the pepperspray and set out to find the twins. When she wants something, she HAS to get it, using whatever methods she has.

After finishing several rounds of bowling Tenaku became bored once again. Putting back on his leather shoes he left the bowling alley and back to the arcade. Looking through a bunch of the machines he saw nothing of interest. Suddenly he noticed his rings hadn't been taken when he got here. Smiling he held up his right hand, looking at the glimering surface's of the two rings on his fingers. To bad, if he summoned Hi Ji then someone would take them away which in turn would make him very sad. Lowering his hand he wandered over to a dark corner with a seat, sat down, and leaned back in the chair so that it rested against the wall.

[Kaoru Miyazaki]

Kaoru opened his eyes abruptly as Bael dipped him down. He stared up into the eyes that he never thought he would see again, closing his own half way when tears started to gather in their corners. "Say it, Ruru...", the taller of the two whispered above his partner. Beneath him, Kaoru forced his mouth to form the words and utter them quietly. "Kiss me...?" Bael smiled and leaned his head forward.

Their lips connected in a gentle kiss as both closed their eyes once again. No meeting of the tongues or swapping of saliva. Just a true lovers' kiss that lasted for a few moments. Finally, there came a need for air and both shinigami gently broke apart, taking a few breaths of fresh air into their lungs. "I love you...", Kaoru managed to say, hugging the other tightly. Bael stood them both straight before returning the hug. "I love you too, Ruru..."

(OOC: So help me, if Crimson wanders in and pokes them with that stick he found... <.< Nevermind. Anyway, writing this scene just made me think of Mission 1D, when Sai unexpectedly kissed Kaoru in front of everyone and then some of their team mates started taunting and teasing them about it.)

"say cheese…" a flash of a camera caught the dancing lover in surprise at the middle of their kiss, "this is so going to the Yaoi FC…" with this said Lana disappeared into her rift, escaping with the photo.

Durante didn't have a problem with relations between consenting adults, but he couldn't help but convulse with barely suppressed laughter as a pretty little voyeur took the opportunity to snap a photograph of the two dancing men.

Roja got entertained by a kissing couple of men and she took a camera (yes, the same camera Noira was doing her recording of Kizer's antics) to record them. She didn't like yaoi, but this film was pure gold for her sadistic childish manners, after the party ended those tapes will end up on a weblog. "Come on guys! More passion!" She thought while she recorded the dancing scene.

Nyarle entered another room that seemed to be full of games. Games. She sniffed. Unless they involved the thrill of hunting and fresh blood, games were a waste of time which could be better spent snoozing.

Speaking of the thrill of the hunt... Nyarle resumed prowling the room for the 2nd Espada.

[Kaoru Miyazaki]

Lana: "Say cheese…" A flash from a camera caught the dancing lovers in surprise in the middle of their kiss. "This is so going to the Yaoi FC…" With this said, Lana disappeared into her rift, escaping with the photo.

Kaoru blinked, a nervous and confused expression now stamped on his face. "Eh..." He looked around, just barely catching sight of Lana disappearing with a photograph in her hand. An Arrancar was barely managing to contain his laughter, his body shaking with the effort. Another Arrancar now had a video camera trained on Bael and himself, and she seemed to have been filming for more than a few minutes. An instant blush spread across his pale cheeks as he gave a small shriek and buried his face against Bael's chest. The taller shinigami chuckled before petting his partner's hair softly. "It's all right, Ruru... No harm done. Besides, I'll bet their pictures turned out great.", he said in a cheerful voice. "Let's get a copy of them as a momento."

(OOC: C'mon, guys! Let the lovers have a picture of this wonderful time. ;))

Noira followed Gwen around like a droid, both trying to play every arcade game they found (though Noira only played Ghosts n' Goblins). Gwen made a few gambles with men and due to her Envidia power, she obtained many coins.

"This is cleverness, Noira. Learn the words right, and all the men will be kneeling before you." Gwen said as she passed through the games section. Both were passing by until they saw a couple of male Shinigami kissing each other. Noira put her palms to cover her face in a don't see evil fashion, Gwen rised an eyebrow and simply said the following: "They seem to be enjoying it, who are we to bother them? It's a shame I believe Yaoi is overrated..." Gwen noticed Roja filming the couple and let out a big sigh. "I wish Roja could grow up a little."

Tenaku eventually nodded off. By doing so he let the chair slip from under him. As he fell back he hit his head against the wall, waking himself up. "Ow... Not cool.." he said as he rubbed teh back of his head. 'Maybe I can do something outside..' he thought to himself as he stood up, bringing the chair up as he did. Slowly he moved toward the door, ignoring the kiss that had taken place between two men. 'Whatever they want. After all, it's a party.' he thought as he walked out of the Entertainment Salon and headed towards the Garden.

[Final Boss]

Lala knew exactly where she wanted to go first, even Lulu couldn't resist the temptation of the various games and activities offered by the Entertainment Salon. Lala rushed to play the nearest game, Elephant Rave. She was already annoyed at the length of the initial message telling them elephants were their friends, the game began and in the first 3 seconds a random pillar of light dropped down and struck the computerized elephant ending the game just like that. In a fit of rage and frustration Lala smashed the screen and kicked over the machine.

"Stupid game!"

She scanned the area for another game, hopefully much funner than Elephant Rave, and noticed Nyarle walking around with a plate of roasted pig. Both Lala and Lulu were quite hungry and the sight of the cooked pork was more than enough to get them to spring into action.

Lala quickly dashed towards Nyarle avoiding the people walking around. Once withing range she swiftly jumped up and snatched the pork from the plate and took a large bite. Her sister was close behind her and she ripped off a smaller piece for her. Lala devoured the meat like an animal while Lulu took a more polite approach.

"Haha that was yummy! Get us more Nyarle!"

With a precious recorded tape of Kizer jumping towards the sea, Roja was in the mood to play some games. She eyed over the Arcade and got high scores on some of them. "Oh my God! An elephaaaaant!" She eyed a game called Elephant Rave which hooked her a lot, she got more addicted to that game than Kiso was, achieving multiple high scores. She looked for more games and saw precisely two girls she was looking for. She also watched another Arrancar with a roasted pig, as fast as she could she tore off a leg of the pig without asking and proceeded to talk to the twins while she was devouring the pig:

"Hi! What's going on? Wanna do something fun?" She took out the trademark pepperspray.

Julia wandered around the entertainment area, it was strange, being the same size as these people. It would have been way more fun to squish things like she usually could. Not to mention it appeared as if she was the only hollow in the vicinity. O well, she would make due with what she could, it was too early to do try anything drastic enough that might get her kicked out.

She made her way over to Pac-man machine and decided to give it a shot. However, it looked like one needed quarters to play, which unfortunately she couldn't really keep on her person. She would have to go and..."acquire" some...

Luskel was late, and had she not been so lazy, she might've been irritated by it. Sighing, she decided she'd better look around for Nyarle, wondering where she might be. She decided she'd check out the entertainment section. "Nyarle-sama, where are you?" she muttered under her breath, cursing her own laziness for being late.

Katai was disappointed that he couldn't find the Segunda Espada. He was thinking of breaking into some of his own poetry, just to pass the time, when something caught his eye. A scythe-adorned Hollow was attempting to figure out how to use a Pac Man machine.

Walking over to the Hollow, Katai said, "Excuse me... ma'am? Or sir? I think it's ma'am... hard to tell with Hollows at times...

Anyways, can I assist you? And do you by chance happen to know any poetry?"

[Unicorn]

Nyarle stood very still and silent as her present to Segunda was first destroyed by Quinta Espada, and then again by a low-level child. Very slowly, a killer aura surrounded her as her eyes glowed pale gold.

"You have defiled Segunda's meal. I now have to find a replacement meal." Nyarle spoke quietly, with a growling undertone.

She looked from the tray she carried, to Lala and then back again. If arranged properly, Lala would just fit inside the tray.

Attention now fully-focused on Lala, Nyarle retrieved the apple that was in the roasted pig's mouth and handed the entire plate to the low-level child.

"Take care of that until I return, servant." She commanded, still staring unblinkingly at Lala.

"Come here, O noisy one."

Julia eyed up the humanoid thing. Stupid reiatsu inhibitor thing, she couldn't tell if it was shinigami, human, or arrancr. O well, not like it changed much.

"It would be ma'am yes and no, I don't know where the segunda espada is." She held out her hand in front of the fellow, "You can assist me by giving me all the money you have on you."

Kotone had gone to the bathroom...for no reason at all when he saw both Kiso gone with a girl taking his place and a scythe-adorned hollow apparently robbing a nice fellow for all that he had. Kotone walked up to the heisting and lay his hands on both of the individuals. "Please, people, can't we just all get along?" Kotone sighed and then tears starting flowing from his eyes uncontrollably. Probably from the trying to sneak up on the girl that had taken Kiso's spot to tickle her....nothing perverted. Kotone was just a really nice guy...only to have his heart shutdown and pepperspray in his eyes

[Final Boss]

Lala grinned impishly and stuck her tongue out at Nyarle before grabbing her sister's arm and sprinting off.

"Haha! No way kitty cat! Nyarle is it, catch us if you can!"

The twins ran off dodging the other guests and laughing childishly. There was no way Lala would ever get another plate of food that wasn't meant for her. They always enjoyed playing tag and turned back to see if Nyarle was pursuing. The continued to run heading straight for the buffet hall.

Nyarle noticed the slight twitches that signalled that the replacement piglet was getting ready to run.

And then it called her a kitty cat. Nyarle snarled, and began to sprint almost at the same time as the twins. The hunt was on.

They were smaller and could go around the crowds better, whereas Nyarle had to take the long way around.

Unfortunately for the 5th Espada, she was good at hunting. Hunting worked up her appetite and made her blood sing.

[Final Boss]

Lala let out an excited shriek as she noticed Nyarle give chase, she moved with a great amount of expertise, Lulu knew that this came from her natural ability to pursue prey. They evaded the guests easily as they ran into the buffet hall and under the table holding the vast feast.

"Hehe she'll never find us under here."

Lala peaked out from under the white tablecloth to see if Nyarle had followed them into the buffet hall.

Julia eyed up the humanoid thing. Stupid reiatsu inhibitor thing, she couldn't tell if it was shinigami, human, or arrancr. O well, not like it changed much.

"It would be ma'am yes and no, I don't know where the segunda espada is." She held out her hand in front of the fellow, "You can assist me by giving me all the money you have on you."

Katai pulled out a pile of coins from his pocket. Well, it was more like a small handful: he wasn't exactly rich. It was odd to be speaking to a Hollow. He still half expected it to try and rip out his throat, but perhaps it was dazzled by his "incredible" suit. Holding the coins in front of him, Katai spoke.

"I'll give you all of these, which should be enough for a few games, but.... you have to compose a poem for me first."

Julia eyed the coins in the man’s hand, it would certainly be sufficient enough for her to pass the time for a while. “A poem huh, well here you go.”

The sky is blue, the grass is green
If you don’t give me your money right now
I’ll rip out your fucking spleen

“Now hand it over, or that poem will become a whole lot more real than you would like.”

"Hmm... that's not bad. Alright, I'll give you the money. It's not much, I'm afraid. But anything's better than nothing, right?" Katai handed the Hollow her money, laughing the whole time. He realized it was probably the first time he had ever laughed at the idea of someone ripping out his own spleen, which only made him laugh more. In another place he might have been more concerned, but here he knew he wasn't in any real danger.

Katai decided then that he himself would entertain others with poetry. Heading towards the dance hall, he noticed a podium that stood near the entrance to it, with what seemed to be a Reiatsu based microphone of some sort standing on it. Perhaps that was where the Segunda Espada meant to recite his poems later. Katai strode up to the top of it, cleared his throat, and began...

"Ahem! I would like to now recite my own piece of poetry, which I have just come up with now, entitled 'Ode to the Espada'.

Mircalla-sama is number one...
She really is a lot of fun...
She may seem like she is very nice...
But she'll slurp your Reiatsu without thinking twice...

Auguste-sama is number two...
His manner of speech is nothing new...
He may seem peaceful as he sits down to read...
But I'm sure he's done many a ghastly deed...

Katai paused briefly in his recitation, to see how well received he was. It was perhaps fortunate for him that he was wearing his mask at the time.

Roja was handed out the entire plate by Nyarle, which she proceeded to devour voraciously until nothing was left. While she was eating, the twins set off running to the Buffet Hall being chased by Nyarle. Roja was furious, that's the second time her attempt to do mischevious deeds with a pair of troublemakers failed. "You can't run away from me!" She started chasing the Quinta Espada.

[Kaoru Miyazaki]

Isamu: "Yeah sure, Rem. These losers have something wrong with their heads. Let's get the hell out of here. What else cool is there to do? Perhaps the arcade?"

'The arcade? He can play games with those claws of his? Well, I guess it's not all that surprising, since he was able to pick up the plates back in the Buffet Hall.', Rem thought silently to himself with a twisted smile. "Yeah, let's check it out. Though I don't really recall ever having played many games... Just consider me a beginner and don't knark on me if I'm not that great.", the Feral Child replied, moving into the arcade section of the Entertainment Salon with the Mantis.

(OOC: I'll be moving Bael and Kaoru out to the Garden.)

[Dizzy]

"God," said a female voice, sounding in from the entrance hall, "this is such a pain. Whose idea was this again?"

"What?" A male this time. "And here I had you pegged as a party animal."

Lexi strode into the entertainment salon, wrapped in a silky cyan dress and wearing a butterfly mask, her green hair pulled out of its usual ponytail and allowed to flow freely. Cres followed, dressed smartly in a black suit, his face adorned with a feathered red mask. "Parties, yes," said the former. "Stupid formal stuff like this? No thanks."

"I dunno if you could call it that formal," replied Cres, "judging from the arcade over there. Hey, isn't that - "

"Walking this way now," interjected Lexi, abruptly turning around and jerking her companion through the nearest door, into the adjacent dance hall.

"Looks pretty abandoned so far," mused Cres, "apart from that one guy busting rhymes on the podium. I heard they booked some pretty nice bands though, everything from Kidouhead to Death Cero For Cutie to Marilyn Menos."

"Isn't that last one a bit ... risqué?"

"Told you, it's not that formal. Anyways, let's split up for now and go enjoy the party, shall we?"

[Mystic Serenade]

A girl with medium length reddish brown hair and a mask with feline-like qualities over her face approached Lexi. Her dress was a bit different from most worn at the party as she opted for one of the gothic lolita style. "Hey fucking midget, so you took the time to crawl out of the decomposition heap for once huh."

From the voice and cat ears, Lexi could probably guess who it was but one thing was slightly off. For one, somehow Mai was suddenly about eight inches taller, as if she had suddenly aged several years.

[Dizzy]

Lexi closed her eyes in exasperation at hearing the annoyingly familiar voice. Turning to face Mai, she was startled to see that the mangy cat had seemingly grown several years older in the last few weeks. The girl scanned the floor, about to laugh at what would surely be a ridiculous-looking pair of high heels when she suddenly noticed that they didn't exist.

What the fuck? ... Well I guess she's a freak of nature already, probably just mutated a little bit more.

Narrowing her eyes, Lexi scanned the crowd and found that, to her pleasure, Cres had already exited the room. That was good; now he wouldn't be able to stop her if pounding the tar out of the stray cat became necessary.

"Oi," she said loudly, enough to permeate the echoing refrain of Death Cero For Cutie's performance, "what's that roadkill the cat dragged in? Oh wait, my bad, that's her face. Never mind then."

[Mystic Serenade]

Mai responded by simply splashing Lexi with the contents of her wine glass. She held up her hand over her mouth, "My my, what an interesting dress color you got there, matches your fugly hair."

[Dizzy]

A muscle underneath Lexi's eye twitched as Hanazuki's wine splattered onto her dress. She'd have killed to have a plate of food to return fire with, but no such luck. On the other hand, with a bit of luck, she'd get to kill the mangy stray cat before the night ended anyways.

"Yeah that's kind of what I was going for," Lexi replied dismissively, feigning nonchalance despite burning to punch the other girl's lights out. "Seems you couldn't figure out how to match the rags you're wearing with the hay sticking out of your head, but I guess I can't fault you. Have to ask though, what the hell's your makeover artist smoking? Old and wrinkly is hardly haute couture."

As the green-haired girl spoke, she stepped slightly closer, poised to pounce and break the cat-girl's nose.

Rem wandered through the Arcade, looking at the multitude of games available for play. Then one of the games caught his eye. Zombies roaming through the forest, craving the flesh of the living... It sounded sort of interesting. A plastic gun was attached to the side of the system. The feral child picked it up and aimed it at the screen, waiting for the game to begin. As the zombies started to appear from the trees, he moved the gun and targeted them, one by one, pulling the fake trigger to fire. All the while, he had his own thoughts.
