Yoruichi does have a zanpakutō, but she mostly uses hand to hand combat, shunkō and flash steps. However, although she never carries it during the main storyline, it is shown during a flashback when she tells Ichigo about Kisuke Urahara as the previous 12th division captain. She briefly uses a sword during the "Sealed Sword Frenzy" OVA to dispatch a hollow. She also uses it in the anime during Soifon's flashback about becoming Yoruichi's protégé, where it resembles a kodachi or wakizashi. In this scene, she is shown to have worn her zanpakutō horizontally down her back, in a similar fashion to how Soifon carries her own zanpakutō.

Edit: kodachi is a japanese sword to short to be considered a long sword
wakizashi is a japanese sword with a shōtō blade between 12 and 24 inches.It is similar to but shorter than a katana, and mostly shorter than the kodachi and the wakizashi was usually worn together with the katana .

I voted for bankai. Just shikai would be kinda a let down :p. Shunko full powered would be cool, even though I have no interest in Yoruichi loosing items of clothing unless Byakuya is involved :jk. I chose bankai b/c it gives us the best chance to see all three :scheme. She'd use her shikai before she'd use her bankai so we'd get to see the shikai too. If she still hasn't master her Shunko completely she'd opt to use her bankai then use her shunko if that didn't work so we'd see both. If her bankai is stronger she'd use shunko then bankai so we'd see all three :yay

In my opinion, she's probably Vasto Lorde Arrancar level, I have very little info to back this up, but I just think since she was Urahara's captain, and I believe that he is the closest to Aizen and Gin (perhaps other than Yama-jii), she should be nearly or as powerful as he is. :crazy

I am thinking d) vasto lorde level . She from one of the four noble families so she comes from a powerful blood line. She made captain at young age. She seems to excel at everything. Shunko combine with her bankai should push her pass most. Bankai increases power by 5 to 10 times, which means her shunko would be five to 10 times more powerful with her bankai :yay She should be able to kick some major arse. I also think she is equal to or more powerful then Urahara even though I think he is a vizard.

Personally I think she is "top captain level" because she could've easily killed Yammy if she actually tried. Although maybe only when she was in her prime as Rain said. I think VL level is a bit much, I don't think any of the captains would be as strong as a powerful VL that's become a Hogyoku arrancar.

No doubt she's at least upper captain level, which I see her fighting Hali, instead of Soi Fon. And she's that good. As for Byakuya he's always going to chase her so there would not have been a fight. I am still wondering how she knew how to negate his shikai that was pretty darn cool :cool: It could be explained by the their history together, but she was able to negate Aizen's which was even more awesome. I wonder how many others she knows how to negate :headscratch

Okay cool, I'll have a go at the questions.

1. The transformation scene in front of Ichigo was super steamy ;) but I'll go with the scene where she stops Byakuya from using his shikai on Ichigo and has a Shunpo contest with him.

2. No I don't think she'll have a new move, she'll probably show us a move to us that we don't know of (as in she has had it but not ever showcased)

3. She'd use it to do her shopping..I guess hehe :D

4. Seeing as she is from a noble clan who is in charge of the Mobile Corps Unit and was a Gotei 13 captain I'd definitely say she had a shikai and a bankai. What they were, well that's purely speculation.

5. I think it probably came from her relationship with Urahara, I think he might have taught her or showed her how to. And she chose a cat because that's how she is; cunning, sneaky, cat-like reflexes and speed, the prowess of a cat, etc.

6. My prediction (PLEASE BE TRUE) is that she faces off with saucy espada Halibel!! WHAT A FIGHT THAT WILL BE!!!!:eek:

I think its a family thing. She has bloodline trait that allows them to transform. This is probably why she's the only character with golden eyes :cool:.

I could see her coming into help him or Rangiku the odds are stacked against them both. I would not be surprised if Yoruichi came to save the day, she is Yoruichi and that is what she does. Ichi protects and Yoruichi saves :XD

I don't think Yoruichi would fight Aizen, either. She could blame having to leave SS on him, but even given that, if she fought him at all it would be because of what he did to her friends (because she left to help Urahara and the Vizards). But I really think Urahara and Shinji have the most reason to fight Aizen. Unfortunately, due to Shonen Law, if they fight, they will most likely not win because Ichigo, as the main character, has to fight and beat Aizen. But, I digress.

What if...Yoruichi is the leader of the Vizards? Not necessarily a Vizard herself, but their leader?

In the TBTP arc, Yoruichi is the one who took all eight of the Vizards from the site where they were turned into Vizards to the secret underground spot and essentially made it possible for all of them to escape. Because she rescued them, they escaped Central 46's orders of being dealt with as hollows (death, in other words). Urahara was not able to do anything about them becoming Vizards, but at least they were able to stay alive thanks to Yoru. ^_^

Yoruichi didn't even show up in the manga until Chapter 51 (Sidenote: If Bleach was always weekly (was it?), Kubo took almost a year to introduce her o_O). Jinta and Ururu didn't know who she was. Which most likely means that she wasn't at Urahara's shop that much. Could be for years and years, depending on how "old" Jinta and Ururu are. Where was she for all that unexplained time? Even if she wasn't training herself, it's obvious she is very good at training others. Maybe she was helping the Vizards.

In the SS arc, Yoruichi was one of the only people to see Ichigo's mask (even though it wasn't actually on Ichigo at the time). And quickly after getting back from Soul Society, Ichigo is approached by Shinji. What if Shinji found out about Ichigo from Yoruichi?

As far as shunpo, if she was training her hollow side, or helping others train theirs, she probably wouldn't use it much. Especially in the Vizards underground training room, it's big but it's probably not big enough to necessitate the use of shunpo.

Also, if Yoruichi was a Vizard, I'm guessing she wouldn't want to use that power while in Soul Society. If she wanted to go back, that probably would kill any chances. So in her fight with Soi, she would have to use something that's more of a Shinigami skill. This could also be why she didn't want to fight Byakuya, and instead made Ichigo do it. It wouldn't be a big deal for Ichigo to reveal himself as having Vizard powers because he's a Ryoka. But even though Yoruichi left Soul Society willingly, she was born there. She has to have some attachment to it. If she fought Byakuya, even though she's strong, she probably would have had to use Vizard powers as well, and then her secret would be revealed.

Although why would she be training Captain and Vice-Captain level shinigami? And how would she know about hollow/vizard powers to be able to since they were the first vizards?

Well, this one is tricky. Either, she was actually the first Vizard (if she let Kisuke experiment on her), so she knew how to deal with it. Or, Urahara is the first Vizard (because he experimented on himself), so she knew how to deal with it because she helped Kisuke get through it. Also, I think they might be willing to accept her as a leader because she's from a noble family.

Yoruichi might be not be training them the basic stuff, like she did Chad and orihime, but maybe it was more like somethign her division would focus on

or being able to use their power without letting people know they are attacking

Yoruichi is like one common thread weaving a lot of lives together from heading up the team to rescue Rukia, to helping Ichi reach Bankai, to stealing Bya hair tie, to being the object of Soi Fon's obession, being a noble, and not to mention rescuing Kisuke, Tessai, and the Vizards. It is as if everything that happens is no more 7 degrees of separation from Yoruichi :wtf

Hmm that is a intresting idea. I never really thought of Yoru as a vizard. i assume she knows about most of Urahara's experiments and probably even helped him with some. They're all connected since that night.

@ Rain - Since ehr squad is so ninja like i sure they praticed the skills you listed. Its a good psibility.

@ Hime - Yoru probably did help the vizards contain their hollows. But shouldn't they have already known fighting skills since they use to be captains. Unless its unlike Ichigo's case and they didn't obtain there shinigami powers back.

Well I am working on several theories, but another one of them revolves around Yoruichi's reiatsu. As far as I can tell, only two people in SS ever knew she was coming before she arrived; Kuukaku and Shunsui. Everyone else was surprised by her appearance; Byakuya on the bridge, Soi at the Soukyoku Hill (spelling?), Aizen at the hill.

Does this mean her reiatsu isn't notable, or that she hides it? I personally think it's the s
