@ Hope_Assassin, a little of both i think. i think there's more to urahara leaving SS than just his "banishment", and i would think that for the same reasons, yoruichi would be willing to leave SS as well. that, and the fact that she just can't abandon urahara when he was exiled. :p

The last flashback chapters have shown that, while Urahara and Yoruichi's relationship--on a strictly professional level--dates way back, I don't believe that she'd follow him in his banishment just because of the fact they were childhood friends. Besides, he was her subordinate before he became a captain himself, and he became one thanks to Yoruichi, so I think there must be more reason behind their taking off from SS together.

I believe they may have had reason to leave Soul Society in order to watch over someone together or either because Yoruichi was appointed Urahara's parole officer. :rofl At any rate, I think that their sentimental feelings towards each other play a role, that's for sure, but it's a very minor one compared to the one in professional aspect. It's just the kind of people those two strike me as. :cool:

What makes you think they cut ties with Soul Society? It's exactly Soul Society who requested Urahara's cooperation with the Senkaimon and stuff when sending Captains in Hueco Mundo to aid Ichigo and Co. when things looked really sticky for them and Urahara under Soul Society's orders who got the Captains from Soul Society in the fake Karakura town. Therefore I doubt they've severed all ties with SS. Furthermore it makes me believe they didn't even part on very hostile terms for Urahara to be willing to do favours to his banishers.

Like you, I think that they rather left willingly under the weight of some scorn or something. Maybe Urahara had a hand with the creation of the Vaizards more than he realized? Or maybe it was the Hougyouku thing that was his main offense in all actuality? I really don't know--I wish we'd get those two's relationship some time soon as well. :XD

i remember vaguely that soon after soifon learned of yoruichi's "betrayal", a warrant was issued. i think that's just as good as cutting ties with them. :oops plus, i don't think it would be wise for SS to do that if yoruichi was still under their authority (as urahara's parole officer). and byakuya did say before that everybody thought yoruichi was dead.

about yamajii giving urahara tasks, i think it's just because they're fighting a common enemy, and SS needs all the help they can get. like you, i also believe that urahara did not part on hostile terms with SS, which was why he was willing to work with them. this does not mean, however, that urahara is under the authority of SS, as demonstrated when he opened the gate to HM in direct violation of SS's orders. :amuse

Well, about the pairing...it's definitely the most canon of them all :D. I love the fact their history goes way back, I love how strong their bond is, I love how bossy Yoruichi can get and how Kisuke gets to order her around in spite of that (the moment where he send her to get Orihime after she had first left the Vaizard comes in mind :D).
