It's a great book, once you get past the god awful names (i.e., "Backyard Bottomslash", etc.)
It makes you realize that L and Naomi really are the anime version of Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler.^^

I've actually recently learned that over-the-top names like the ones used in this book were one of the trademarks the author has in Japan (he's a very well-known mystery writer.)
Aside from that, My biggest complaint has to do with characters knowing more than they should, a few inconsistencies between the story told and some of the things said in the proper series, and a handful of plot holes toward the end (For instance, one of the characters is shown to have shinigami eyes, but it's never revealed why he has them, and they never play a significant role in the story. The other big plot hole is too spoilerish, but I'm sure you'll see it when you reach the end.)
I loved it, except it was soo short
Its cool how things like the shinigami eyes weren't explained, because the narrator wouldn't have known how
and the eyes played a rather big role..although everythign seemed like such coincidence
like all those people were schedueled to die so close to each other, and they all just happened to have the bb initals (except that part with the q)
loved the book though

Yes, I have. It was kinda short, but it was VERY intriguing. The way everything fit together, and I love the clues! And how the detective was the murderer, the last was supposed to be a suicide, it was rather cool.

It was amazing! :wtf I loved this book to death. :love It was a little short for me though. D; Which is partially my fault, because I insisted on reading it 24/7 because it was so good...

It's not nearly as intense as the Kira case, but it's still fun to read and has the same DN way of keeping you guessing until the very end :thumbs
I read it online :lmao It's pretty rare since the book's copyrighted :p
twinny- they had it online :zomg wow that shocks me, lol
but yeah, aside from it being short its cool most of us agree we liked it :XD
it kind of made naomi seem smarter than when she appeared when she was against kira though, although that might be me
but overall it was just so cazy and facepaced, really DN-ish :XD

Oh, really? :wtf Than it must be quite interesting to read *loves both Holmes and L* Their pretty similar, aren't they? (and so is House :p But that's a bit offtopic) I wonder if the author thought of Holmes and Adler when he wrote "The BB Case"...I guess not, but you never know :)
Ahn... that might be a silly question, but has Viz published this book in English? 'Cause I've been looking for it in Amazon.com, but I couldn't find it...
