A note from spacecat: No making fun of cosplayers or I will delete your post. Feel free to crit them but do not be harsh about it these ppl have feelings and make a lot of effort with their costumes.

In this thread, I welcome you to post your favorite Bleach cosplay images. I'll begin with my personal favorite. You may recognize her or you may not. Not only is she extremely attractive, but she makes ulqui look even creepier than Kubo-sama does. If you have cosplayed as a Bleach character or know of someone who has, get their permission and post the image here so we can all drool at the glory...

I've always held the belief that unless the character design is specifically meant for a macho man to cosplay, that women are always better at cosplay. I could never cosplay as Ulqui. Maybe Komamura if I wore a mask. Or Ganju if I worked out my arms for months. But the effeminate male characters are called that for a reason. They may be macho, but they look almost like girls.

Yeh but Ulquiorra is really thin so it's a easy cosplay for both male and female and he doesn't look totally like a male because he doesn't have a really human face; i don't have any Bleach character that i could cosplay right now, still Kururugi Suzaku from Code Geass would be my closest.

Here at Portugal, Anime cosplay convention are quite rare :p, my best friend and his girlfriend are part of the portuguese anime cosplayers and she won several cosplay events :p. He cosplays as Hitsugaya Toushirou still he doesn't look like, i told him to go as Tetsuzaemon Iba, because he looks like xD.

if i found a good cosplay store in germany then i would get me a Matsu, Yoruichi, kuukaku, ulqy and Byakuya outfit. If there is a new cosplay for gin's HM outfit then i would buy it. so far i got the matsu style down so i jst need the cosplay and i be set XD

my friend is a tottaly copy of Yoruichi. skin color, hair style. she is like a live yoruichi but doesnt like anime :(

Yeah, I figured you'd like that post, spacecat. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to get him to cosplay, but I will guarantee you this. By the time Otakon ends this year, i will have a picture of him smiling all creepy like Aizen does. Keep in mind though that my friend looks like good Aizen, not bad Aizen. If he takes of his glasses, he'll still just a geek. No cool factor. :p

Juu's cosplay outfit is fantastic i really dunno how she had the patience to make it xD SO GO GIRL!!!

I don't think it really matters to be honest i think women can cosplay the more femaine looking characthers and thinner looking. Macho thats a mans costume.

It's another Ulquiorra! LOL. I've seen two Ulquiorra's here and one Rukia in this thread. Ulquiorra's taken over the cosplay board by one!

And we don't have any expo's where I live, so yeah. I live on an island smaller than NYC. :(

I never understood cosplay until I went to my first ever convention, Comic Con at NYC in Feb 2007. It was so much fun meeting the cosplayers. Wish there were more Bleach cosplayers though. The place was overrun by Star Wars folk, not that I minded too much as I geeked out over them too. Anyway, this was was my fave cosplayer. I had asked her if I could take a pic and I thought she was just going to just stand there as I took the picture. Instead she made this pose and made my day!

So fa I've only cosplayed 3 Bleach characters. I unofficially coplayed Rukia(didnt get my cosplay on time), I cosplayed Momo Hinamori (cause my hair was too long for rukia) and I cosplayed Soi Fong officially xD. In the con i went as Soi Fong I WAS gonna srip into Soi Fong's fighting uniform xD but I didnt find te time. <_< I do Bleach cosplays once a year xP Considering Rukia was unofficial, Momo was my 1st Bleach cosplay and that was last december at DCC (puertorrican convention). My 2nd was Soi Fong which was this year on July at Kaisen (pr con). Next year I'll be cosplaying Menoly along with a gigantic group of Bleach villains (even though most are arrancars.) xD

At Manifest (Melbourne Anime Festival) last year there were these little kids who cosplayed as DBZ characters, none in particular but they drew plenty of awwwws from the crowd haha.I got nothing too Zikky...Its not just you...

My boyfriend did a halfass Gin this Otakon. Originally wanted to be byakya but his hair isn't long enough, people as well as himself joke about his eyes being narrow and Gin being a better fit (minus his tan now) If only he had a wig or white hair spray (lazyway out i know, but that bleaching would be painful. :x )

I didn't have time to make my Orihime costume, but I did get my Lullaby one done. OI! SBJ! you were to stop by my table! What gives? :P

But BRAVO!! to all the cosplayers. <3 It's all about having fun, anyway. I love them all! *_* Otakon had a bunch of half-ass ones and then there were some cool kenpachis who really DID the hair.

I love the Ulquiorra pic. I find his expression perfect but his position (with his hands against the window while looking at the sky) is perhaps a bit "too much". Perhaps it is a prediction of how he will behave when Ichigo eventually brings Inoue back to the real world as he waits for his princess to come back :p

I'll be cosplaying Gin, changed from Hitsugaya after I heard that at Manifest (Melbourne Anime Festival) there will be 6 Hitsugayas.........

I'll have to grow my hair a bit haha. Its just above my eyes at the moment so it should be a decent length in a months time I hope. I'll use white hairspray to make my black hair grey.

I just noticed Gin has harly any eyebrows, so I can just keep my bushy black eyebrows haha:p rather than spray them white like I would've had to for Hitsugaya haha.

Thats going to be hard to pull off. You're not going to shave or pluck them are you:P? I'd think just painting over them with the most similar colour to your skin tone is the easiest way, then to paint them on.

there's actually this thing called eyebrow putty
you put it on, it makes your eyebrows "disappear" then you have to, like, use makeup or something to blend it.

Doing the closed eye thing was actually somewhat tricky haha. You can't close them normally or they look like they're closed. You need to a relaxed squint for the best effect haha.

im getting a ichigo kurosaki Execution outfit...

apparently i have the right build to play as him, aswell as the right face, apprently i need to dye my hair orange though... (could be an issue)

also, im trying to make Zangetsu the cresant blade style...

i was thinking o making it out of soft wood and working it with steel strips to gif it strength on the handle....

for those of u who dunno what the Executing robe looks like,

its ichigos normal kimono, but half the top is missing and instead he is weating bandages, aswell as the cloak, witch i am also gewtting....

(any help would be loved^^()

Damn, that Halibel one and her fraccion is gold. The amount of time to do all that must have been staggering. The Szayel one is a female right? :D They can cosplay anything and still make it work.

Wow, the Nnoitra, Halibel, and her fraccion cosplays are so spot on. It's pretty difficult to cosplay from any animation, and those examples are eerily accurate.

Damn, I need to hook up with a fashion design or theater costume design major to get results like that :eek:
