Szayel Aporro was the person I told you about via PM...:cry :hug It wasn't a smooth convention I wanted with already planned group of friends. Not exactly Szayel Aporro when you lack a plan and meeting a person in real life and going to any convention without money.

So I'm planning on cosplaying Kira (yay!) and I bought the basic Shinigami uniform the other day (I'm waiting for it to arrive, it'd be too hard to make myself especially since this is my first time cosplaying) and I need some tips.

First: is there anywhere I can buy the accessories other than online? Like, the socks and sandals. I live in Rhode Island near Massachusetts but don't know of any place that sells that kind of stuff.

Second: Does anybody have tips on how I can make Wabisuke? I'd like to have the released form instead of just a plain toy katana.

My primary character is Rukia, I`ve done her summer school uniform and plan on making the shinigami robes, too, plus other random outfits [such as the artbook ones !! :D]

Lol, did anyone catch the season premiere of Beauty and the Geek tonight? One of the geeks they interviewed cosplayed as Ikkaku. Complete with the released Zanpaktou. I was cracking when he starting spinning it around and breaking it into three parts. ><

Heh, nice pictures everyone! Cosplaying is really fun, but it sucks to make your own costumes though, I prefer store bought ones :p I went on a convention here in Norway called Desucon, but I didn't dress up, mainly because I was too late with buying my kitty costume :(
