Alrighty, I decided that, since I love IRC, I'd write a nice little how to, on how to connect to it and join myself, Dizzy and Mystic in our IRC channel. It's not too complicated, even if it seems like it. But I'll give you the step by step to make it that much easier. The first method is probably for more advanced users. The second method is far simpler. :)
Step 1: Download an IRC client
You need an IRC client (by client I just mean program, no different than MSN, for example) to connect to irc. You can download the latest version of mIRC at http://www.mirc.com
Step 2: Enter your information
It's been a long time since I had a new version of IRC, but the first time you open it, I believe a window should pop up asking for your information, things like full name, or email. You can just put anything there for name and email, doesn't need to be valid. If this does not open automatically, go to your tools menu, and select options. This stuff will be on the "Connect" menu in the left frame of the "mIRC Options" window. Put in your nickname. The alternative is just the nickname that will be used in case your first one is unavailable.
Step 3: Choosing a Server
Once again in your mIRC Options, this time you'll want to go into the connect sub-menu, and select the one titled "Servers". All you need to do is scroll down to the R's, and select Rizon. Now you're all set to go. All that's left is to hit connect.
Step 4: Joining the channel
Once you're connected to the Rizon server, there's only one thing left. You just need to type in /j #rpasylum to join the channel where we chillax.
Alternative Method:
Step 1: Go to http://www.mibbit.com
Step 2: On the left side of the page, near the top, there is a "Connect to IRC section. Select Rizon.net from the drop down menu.
Step 3: Enter your nickname, whatever you want, and for the channel, type in #rpasylum. After that, just press go, and you'll be right there.
