I like the concept of Hibari from the past actually being better than hibari in the future for no other reason than having the vongola ring.

Remember, the Hibari of the past was pretty darn powerful.

But think, the hibari of the past had an advantage. Gokudera, Yamamoto, IPin, Lambo, and Chrome from the future all went back to the past while Hibari was still there. Hibari was probably being filled in on the matter and possibly got the 10 year bazooka back from whoever was using it. Shoots himself, and voila, there he is in the future, knowing exactly who his opponents are, and how box weapons work, etc.

I'm starting to wonder, perhaps Ryohei is next?

Well Gokudera from the past did better against Gamma than Ryohei from the future so I don't see why Hibari from the past can't do something.

all things considered, ryohei of the future kinda sucks.

Ryohei of the past was the strongest of the vongolas, but lacked proper discipline and skill (whereas Hibari was probably most skilled, and second strongest, thus being far deadlier than ryohei)

He got waxed pretty badly.

I think that, likely, tsuna got the whole lot to relax too much, and then they lost their rings too.

So the kid versions are all now equal in skill and power to their adult versions, PLUS they have the rings.

@Space: okay if you put it like that maybe.... but still -__-; it seems so weird that people with 10 years more experience and training can't do what kids can do just because they have the vongola rings :T I mean sure, they're special and all, but I am kind of against them being all powerful and hax xD too much plotkai :hm

@Primera Espada: When's the last time you have seen Hibari do something for the benefit of the group :p no but really, I don't think young Hibari would have willingly made the choice of going to the Future because he heard how things were :T

I agree PE the younger versions seem just as good if not better :-_- I can see young Hibari winning as much as I could see older Hibari winning.

You didn't complain about Gokudera from the past getting the better of Gamma though Ann even though it at the time seemed completely ridiculous, Hibari is ten times the fight Gokudera will ever be :cookie

I think the big difference here is that the rings respond to the user's will and resolve.

Everyone knows that when you're a teenager, and your emotions are high, you can follow through with all your heart into nearly anything. Because you haven't grown up and realized there's always grey areas and that sometimes caution is needed, you give it your all every time.

The rings respond to that, so by default they're using more power than their adult counterparts.

THEN, the rings are a higher grade.

Though to be fair, the past kids have Tsuna, which the future people did not. Their don kicked the bucket, and that shattered their resolve.

@Space: lol, you know I totally forgot about that? xD but I'll admit Hibari is ten times the fight Gokudera is any day you know I'm not unrealistic ;) but which fight are we talking about now? cos Gokudera got pwned hard the first time xD then the 2nd time he had Uri. Also, we had nothing to compare that time, just TYL Hibari, who pwned Gamma easily. Though Ryohei got pwned by Gamma again @__@; ok, too much plotkai :p anyway, not like I don't like it, but I dunno.... I'm getting scared of this hype on the Vongola rings.... like they can do anything.... I foresee even more plotkai xD

@PE: hmmm okay if you put it like that it already seems far more plausible xD but still meh, like I said, I'm kind of scared this will lead to easy victories over people they would normally never stand a chance against T___T;

well, just think of it this way

when they get back to the present day, they won't have boxes. Gokudera will be powered back down, hibari will be powered back down, tsuna's not actually getting power so much as he's learning how to use it, the only one that's gonna end up increased in ability is Yamamoto, who... sadly was pretty bottom level in power (though not in skill, he was prolly 2nd). Once they get back he'll probably be on par with Hibari.

BTW - On the whole "Why is younger Hibari stronger than older Hibari" thing:

Remember than TYL Hibari was used to fighting with Rings, while younger Hibari doesn't even know about it... The Rings are harder to master, have more advantages than simple fights, open up for much more possibilities than physical combat. Plus, Ring>>>Physical combat. If you ask me, it's only logical that Hibari decides to train on his usage of rings while toning down on the physical department.

So, in a situation where Rings decide the victory, taking them out of play is the best choice. Hibary from the past, will have an easier time winning because of:
1) He's dedicated all his time to physical training. Not even knowing what Rings are
2) Genkishi is tired from his fight. Plus the lack of oxygen should take it's tool now...

But yeah, the globe of needles seems to be gone... Had it remained, I'd see how past Hibari beats Genkishi, but guess Amano will end opening up the "Plot Box"

Probably Ryohei is the next, i have a theory about "why all the past guardians are in the future" ,If HIbari & Ryohei don't go to the future they'll be less powerfull so when Tsuna and Cia will come back to the present , They will be far stronger than before ... To sum up, there will major differences and the air will be hard to breath.

-The only advantage that he has over TYL hibari is the ring, and that is just now even with Genkishi

He probably needs Yama's help to win, But can't really say what Yama can do much to help, I mean he didn't help Hayato beat Gamma, not to mention he sucked at seeing illusions, and Genkishi wasn't even going all out against him. He didn't see his slugs.

Really Genkishi should take this, but this is a shounen after all, and bad guys don't win this much in a row.

I'm more hoping for shou to come down and handle hibari and take the 2 vongola rings and go.
