Huge fan of playing the Electric guitar :D
It is an instrument with a large variety of sounds, and can produce alternate forms of the same note, which I find awesome :XD

i play acoustic guitar, but now i'm aching to try on drums or other percussions like djembe etc. i'd be awesome to produce ur own beats to accompany the guitar ^^

I voted for acoustic guitar. I think there's nothing nicer than an acoustic guitar. I love electric guitar but I just feel it's not as earthy and natural as the acoustic guitar. The acoustic guitar is just so familiar and comfortable feeling, great tone:uhuh.

I voted flute but I'm highly biased.

I think everyone is biased towards the instrument they play:pI mean you only play it because you like it and like hearing it and all:XD

To be honest I only started playing because it was the only thing I could get a note out of... :p
Here's the man with the golden flute, and his lovely wife:

What about piano!:yell! or harmonica:pyou just press it or blow through the damn thing!
Shiny golden flute! Nice piece:uhuh. One of my friends who also plays flute says you get a different timbre from them so they're better than regular ones.

The choice was between flute, trumpet, trombone, clarinet or sax.

The violin! It sounds so elegant and pretty. But then the piano can do that too.

Definately Piano. I can't play the piano *is a drummer* but eh i think Piano music is amazing, and it's something i've always wanted to learn to play but sadly i feel like i'm too old to start learning, plus i'm super forgetfull so would forget everything i've been taught. But yeah, i could listen to piano music all day.

Big violin lover! You can pair it with classical, Rock, and hiphop! It also has such a beautiful sound.
I love listening to the acoustic guitar any time of day! I was torn between the acoustic guitar and the violin...
I love instrumentals! <3

I love the sound of a cello.
Used to play flute. I guess I liked it, but only because it's really easy.

I play Saxophone (Alto, Soprano, and Baritone), and have played it for 7 years, so obviously that would be my instrument of choice to play.
However, for listening, there is the Saxophone again obviously. I love hearing loud brass in jazz/funk songs, which makes the Trumpet and Trombone appeal to me. I also enjoy listening to the resonating sounds of Violin and Cello in orchestral works.

I have to say I don't agree with this. It may be easy to get notes out of, but it's not easy to play well. Your tone relies so much on embouchure that if you have even a slight problem with it then you can sound terrible. Also since flute is presumably 'easy' in an ensemble it is often the instrument that gets given the most difficult parts to play, either a ridiculously fast melody, or all the fiddly (also ridiculously fast) counter-melody bits that emphasize the main theme.

I still haven't voted because I can't pick one.
I play the triangle and that pawns all so there :P
Piano sounds really elegant and I just love how it can just accompany any other instrument.
Violin I know people say it sounds like a cat screeching well there kinda deaf imho its got a lovely sound and sounds amazing in an orchestral piece and can give a song that extra tone to it.
I love the sound of flutes as well sometimes they can sound really nice when out into the right part of a piece of music and a lot of solo's I have heard from flute players have been magnificent.
I also like the sound of an acoustic guitar as well its more i can't think of the word over electric guitar but maybe softer toned I dunno but it sounds really nice witht he right sounds. Am a sucker for songs remade as an acoustic version, sometimes sound like 50x better than the original :S
I sound lieka right old fogie in this *death*

Well...that is hard for me also.
Played Piano for 9 years and love playing now that I can properly play most peices put in front of me ahaha.
Played Violin for 6 years and love that now I can really play and love it. Especially vibrato, I just love making the singing sound its so peaceful.
I play acoustic guitar for fun but never really got into it unless I am bored ahaha.
And I have done singing for the past 7 years and I love doing that. Hehe. So I can't choose :cry
Used to play the violin and love the sound of acoustic guitar :D
Used to play the flute too... Too much breathing involved...
Ahaha - yes, too much breathing is a real bother :XD
Emoloz, you are really lucky: I sucked at triangle. Could only get like 1 note out of it :XD

My favorites are the violin, flute and the piano. I can only (partially) play the piano. I just love the sounds that they make. I love hearing guitar, but I don't know much about them. :sweat

No Spanish guitar? Sacrilege!
Manitas de Plata! Andres Segovia! The Gypsy Kings! Masters of the Spanish guitar!
I love the sound ouf a Bass Guitar .. but i really wish i could play chello or
violin. A good friend of mine knows to play both and it sounds so awesome !
Violin I know people say it sounds like a cat screeching ....
heh heh ... sounds more like 'killing chicken' when you're just starting to learn it :p
I like all string instruments ( yes I'm bias :D ), but my one and only love is a Chinese musical instrument called Er-hu, I find it calming and peaceful to listen to.

ROFL I always though chickens dying sounded a bit like an alarm of some sorts but then again maybe thats just my love for exotic birds and knowing there calls.....don't ask.
I agree with the Er-hu this one song i adore has one in it it sounds so nice <3

I love listening to finger-picking on an acoustic guitar. Most of my favourite artists just rely on the precious acoustic - Sun Kil Moon, Bright Eyes, Jose Gonzalez, etc.
I play bass (electric and acoustic), used to be a drummer and can play guitar but I prefer playing for the "rhythm section", ;)

Well I play the violin and I must admit I am bias towards its sound. The upper registers are just so elegant soft and yet can be brutal at the same time. As an aside, I do love hearing piano as well :) now when the two get together we get awesome songs like Bleach Ost - Never Meant to Belong :yay

The piano is my favorite instrument to play and hear, while listening to music. It can be challenging and relaxing, but the sound is a beautiful addition to certain songs.

Piano. I love its sound, and very relaxing to hear.
And I usually play anime songs. It was very endearing.
Next is violin, I love its sound especially when played together with piano.

I like to play guitar and piano
but my fav one to hear depends on the type of song
for metal (with real solo's and stuff none of the other shit) its guitar
for alternative (which I almost never listen too anymore) its good drums which is a rarity
and for stuff in general I want to hear SYMPHONY
I am a symphonic metal junkie and for good fuckin reason

Electric guitar. I can play it a little, but who cares- when you can listen to someone like Tony Iommi or Blackmore
