...the quality of the episodes looks very high: great art, good animations and the soundtrack is superb (even if they haven't used many tracks yet), it's definitely a series which must be watched! ;)

Gory... Especially those Giants. They look incredibly creepy. Like 100x worse than Hollows. Hollows were never scary imo. I can't wait to see how they'll come up with the strategy to kill them.

Great! :) ...the anime episodes are released weekly, but if you wish you can also start reading the manga, which has won many awards and is very absorbing... not to mention that now is in its coolest arc ;) (even if some features of the art, like the way people who aren't main characters are drawn, might not be liked)

Gaaah. Manga can't get me absorbed as much as anime can. Probably because it only takes me like 10 minutes to read a chapter?
Plus all the graphics in the anime and the music is just so suspenseful...!

Well, the manga is quite popular in japan, and for the anime they did things well, without being strict on budget, so if the first season is successful enough I think they could continue it (maybe after a year of break, since the manga is monthly :p)

Ahah, yes some series can be quite long to read ;) ... and animations and music often make the anime more appealing, but if you ever seek a new series, that one surely is a good candidate ^.^

I've just watched the first three episodes on Crunchyroll and I'm loving it so far. The art style is really crisp and vibrant, while the music added to the atmosphere. There's also something really unsettling about the titans. Can't wait for the next episode. :)

Yes, Eren is definitely not the average shonen main character, and despite being an idealist has also a lot of gumption... the fact that (especially at the beginning) sometimes can seem to be just another guy with big dreams and big mouth is mainly due to his inexperience... and I'm happy you began to read the manga :D

Woo, I love plot twists. I will be getting hold of the manga eventually - (just trying to get through some OnePiece before the first box set arrives in the UK next month.)
As soon as I saw Mikasa, I wanted to claim her, but you beat me to it. xD There's just something about her, that seems really bad-ass.

:D and so you manage to mention ulqiorra in another context :cool:, I agree, there are similarities between them (even if Ulq is more nihilistic, IMO, they both share a degree - not so common for their communities - of curiosity for what they haven't experienced yet)

Well, no problem, we can share the claim if you wish ^.^... also, I'm going to claim a few more characters from Shingeki which haven't appeared in the anime yet, so if later you wish to claim them too no problem... and if you love plot twists, then there will be plenty of material to satisfy you :D... (yes, recovering very long weekly manga like OP is always exhausting, especially if you do it by reading online scans... I've done it with Naruto and Bleach and I'm not eager to repeat the experience :eek:)

Really enjoyed it. There as a lot more insight into the other major/minor characters. The resounding theme seemed to be that 'The better fighter you are, the further away from the titans you're posted', which Eren eventually realized. Once again the art work is superb. The opening scene, where they were swinging through the forest looked fantastic.

All ill say about the ending is that i really really hate 'To Be Continued...' :( but next week looks amazing again! :)

When I started reading the manga I thought it was just pointless . I'm so glad I was wrong :) The anime is very well done, the OST is lovely, and I love the characters too. Can't wait to see how the do the rest of it!

I just started reading the manga and I'm liking what I'm reading so far. It's alright, but the flashbacks come out of nowhere and derail the action, so they become distracting. Not to mention the art's a little wonky at first (although I hear it improves in later chapters). I'm stoked to check out the anime series, but I'm going to finish all the released chapters before I do.

I'd also like to add that Misaka is HOTTT. And that Potato Girl really cracks me up. :D

What an amazing 5th episode!

Firstly Eren vs the Colossal Titan was truely epic in scale, until he dissapeared again. Then the attack on Trost itself. It thought the Titans were rather timid (fighting wise) at first but, seeing them in action, it just how dangerous they really are. The fact that they dispatched most of Eren's squad with ease was unsettling.

I really wasn't expecting the ending to turn out the way it did. After Eren saved Armin I thought 'here we go! Time to kick some Titan butt.' Didn't turn out that way though.

As always can't wait for next weeks episode. :)

I watched this series (so far) yesterday, and oh my god. It's AMAZING, Iv'e only seen the anime, and am holding out till tomorrow for episode 6, but christ it's so HARD!!! :'( I do and don't want to read the manga - do to find out, but don't so I wont find out, and also the anime is so good, I'm worried reading the manga will spoil it for me xD Is it just as good?

I read the manga first before watching the series, so I know what's going to happen for the next couple of episodes. After watching the anime though, I kinda wished I didn't know so much. :D
