I loved this Shinigami Cup :lmao . Anyway I'm curious to see why Amagai has two Zanpakutos, the lightsaber(if it's a Zanpakuto) and Raika :headscratch. He's a nice character overall in my opinion and his Zanpakuto's power looks interesting to me.

At first, I just thought he was just a really cute kid. But after the ridiculous "The good-guys-must-fight-one another-just-because" battle, he stepped up and proved to be one adorably brave kid.

BTW, does anyone else think those battles are dumb and predictable? I wanna see good guys fight bad guys, not Ichigo fighting a decent captain for no reason. Whatever, it's good for filler. Can't wait for episode 183!

Some notes/observations/discussion points:
1. Now that the bad guys finally have her, why don't they just kill Lurichiyo instead of locking her in a cage?
2. What is she, a bird?!
3. Boy, is Amagai slow..."We suspect Kifune of something...Kifune went missing...the last person to see him was a guard, who also went missing...hmmm..."
4. Renji's slow, too. Renji, heads up: When your captain tells you to head the search team to find his sister it's because he doesn't want her to end up dead. He knows that you care about her. That's exactly why he wants you to find her! (Renji did get it, it just took him a while :p)
5. No one knows about underground hidden passages in Noble manors? Not even Soi Fon, who served a Noble family?
6. Poor Byakuya. He can never outsmart Yachiru and her mighty Shinigami Women's Association, can he? LOL :p

So...why does Amagai have a lightsaber (call it what you want: it's a lightsaber) AND a zanpakuto? Did he get it half off at Toys R Us?

That being said, his zanpakuto is pretty cool, if oddly named. It's called Raika, which I believe has something to do with thunder or lightning, despite seeming to be flame oriented.

They really are taking their time investigating Kifune (or Kibune or whatever). And what's his, or Kumoi Monkey Face's plan for Lurichiyo? I mean, if they want to kill her, why not just do it? Other than the writers' obvious desire not to have a child killed onscreen...

Oh, and am I the only one who find's Shuu's voice EXTREMELY annoying? I had to skip past some of his more weepy dialog...

ok i guess it could have been worse, i think its safe to say that this was one of the few fillers that wasn't to dreadfull, at leat imo. though one thing pissed me off, when amagai told ichigo and rukia that there was not to much the squad could to the nobel family because it was out of their jurisdiction,doesn't that contridict all of squad 2 interfering on the wedding day:confused: or am i missing something,.....oh yay filler thoust never ceases to make me :facepalm myself

I find it one of the worst voices I've come across, it's whiny, wimpy, and just pathetic. When he stepped in to stop the fight I almost lost it, since I was enjoying the fight, and it started him off on his little pathetic speech about how much of a wimp he is. Just a terrible terrible character.

I think Kumoi hasn't killed Lurichiyo because she has a power he's planning to use. I think this has been foreshadowed by tips like "the head of the family being always female", the "why are you scared?" comments directed at Kifune, and that comment by Urahara saying that a special type of spirit particle has been running thin on SS.

I don't know if it's related, but I wanna know how this fits with Amagai having two swords, Kifune's backstory with Kumoi, and they both not being from Gotei.

I fantasize that Kifune and Kumoi want to use Lurichiyo to produce an uber powerful Bakutou.

Actually, the "damsel in distress" plot templates were figured out by Joseph Campbell about 50 years ago. Lucas wrote Star Wars basing it on them, and if you read them, you can see Kubo using them from day one on the manga.

Another disappointing filler.. I had some hope when I saw that the new captain Amagai and Ichigo were going to fight.. but seriously.. They've been feeding us really shitty episodes, the least they could do is give us a good fight, but no.

Also, Amagai's release looked kinda retarded.. What a cheap copy of old Yama. And I don't know if you noticed, but after Amagai released his zanpakuto, a unreleased zan was on his sheath.. lol.. What a joke. Bad job from the editing team.
