Favorite Manga to Anime Scene?

I looked around to see if there was a thread like this, and didn't seem so. My question is which scene from the manga did you think best transitioned to the anime? Or which anime scene did you think really did justice to the manga?


For me, I think it'd have to be two of them, I can't really decide between them. But the first is Orihime's goodbye before being taken to Hueco Mundo. I was in tears! :cry So I'd say they did a great job capturing the emotion of the scene there. The other thing for me is the entire Grimmjow vs Ichigo fight in Hueco Mundo. When I read it in the manga, I thought it was cool. When I watched the anime, I got super excited. It was I think for me the highlight of the entire anime so far, and I found myself falling in love with that fight.


In any case, I thought it'd be a neat idea to see what everyone thought about the manga to anime conversion. Though I have read through the manga once, I admit I'm far more familiar with the anime, and I figure there might be lots of people who like the manga better and think differently.

I think the GJ vs Ichigo part 1.. I wanted more of that scene in the manga..and the anime granted it !

I liked how they made the scene in which Ichigo goes bankai and puts the mask and attacks Ulquiorra. It was really cool, and the animation quality was at it's peak in the HM arc (IMO).

my current manga to anime scene would have to be Ichigo vs. Grimmjow 1. the manga scene animated definitely exceeded my expectations.

my future manga to anime scene will defintitely be: dju ichi bantai taichou, zaraki kenpachi tai noitra jiruga, fully released. i think that will be even more impressive.

I really liked Ichigo Vs Grimmjow -round 1 -
there are other really cool scenes BUT the background music ruin it or doesn't match with the scene/fight like Shinji Vs Grimmjow xP...

Ichigo vs. Grimmjow is number 1 and it lasted 3 episodes and had Halibel's fraccion awfully scared. Loved it!!!!

There are so many so I thought maybe I would list my top five. I like the way the anime is done, just can't stand the fillers though.

1. Ichigo landing on the bridge to save Rukia.
2. Rukia give Ichigo her shinigami powers
3. Ichigo vs Grimmjow 1
4. Ichigo vs Grimmjow 3
5. Grimmjow vs Shinji

The Hollow Ichigo/Pantera Grimmjow fight is definitely the best. It really captures the frantic nature of the fight. One of the chapter titles describes it best: Jugulators.

Close second is the Grimmjow/Hirako fight. I LOVED the music during it. It really captured Hirako's character and Hirako is just a bad@$$ throughout.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the moment when Nnoitra accidentally cuts off Kenpachi's eyepatch. When I read that, I just thought, "Someone is going to get destroyed right now!" and I'm hoping they bring that kind of feeling to the screen.

I really appreciate how Studio Pierrot goes to great lengths to recreate the exact scenes from the manga in the anime. I watched the anime first and read the manga afterward and was quite impressed at how well stuff matched up.

Ichigo vs. Byakuya is my favorite manga-to-anime transition, though I still wish they'd have used "Number One" instead of that nice soft music for his first bankai appearance. Of course they fixed that in the next episode. :)

Majority, the fight scenes.. It was a lil' messy in the manga, but when it became animated, it was really outstanding:wtf..
And also the Ichiruki supernova bridge scene:love!!

Ichigo's full Hollow form

Ulq. and his stunned deer in head lights look when Ichigo shows him his hollow mask, then making Ulq. use both hands,to stop the blast......love that scene.

Ulq v. Ichi for me. It did a much better job driving home the difference between the two of them than the manga did, in my opinon.

Ichigo rescuing Rukia from the Soukyoku, and smacking down three VC's bare handed.

Ichigo and Byakuya fight.. since this is the first time we saw Ichigo's bankai.. I also love the scenes when there is a reunion between Rukia and Ichigo.. LOL
