I mostly read poetry. Femine/ist poetry. I like the blunt yet delicious way many women have of expressing their emotions throught the apparatus of literature. I especially like the work of Amy Lowell.
I love the way she constructs her stanzas and rythym.

Who is your favorite poet?

Rumi is my favorite poet but I also love Mary Oliver, Edwin Arlington Robinson, Edna St.Vincent Millay, Elinor Wiley, Christina Rossetti, Rabidranath Tagore and Issa. I grew up surrounded by books so I had a lot of good stuff to choose from. :)

I loved W.H. Auden's work, especially poems like his 'Death's Echo' that have such a rythm to them that you can almost hear music in your head as you're reading them.

Yup! I love the both of them as well. They would definitely be two of me favorites. I actually did a paper on Sylvia Plath's "Daddy". Her work is so powerful. I love the feminist/angsty/intricate way in which she writes. I happen to love feminist poetry as well. :inlove
