11-10-2007, 12:15 AM
I'll join.
USA USA USA!
Vizard_King- welcome to the FC
Manna23- maybe the FC's unpopular because nobody likes the USA anymore we need to have more to talk about:D
Topic to help keep this FC alive- where is you're favorite place to visit in the USA (any city or landmark)
Vizard_King
11-10-2007, 12:51 AM
Thank you,Rain
And We well need more to talk about....I might be able to help with that....Maybe.
Vizard_King- you could help by answering the question:D JK
I don't have many favorite places to visit:( but I often travel to the big cities close to where I live, so i suppose those are favorites:D
Manna23
11-10-2007, 07:23 PM
Welcome Vizard_King :)
@Rain: That's really depressing :( But my favorite place to visit is Lake Huron. My dad has a friend who owns a trailer in a private trailer park right next to the beach. The last time I went there, it was the night of the full moon, and it was huge :D Just coming up over the water the way it was was gorgeous.
Velius
11-10-2007, 07:28 PM
Meh, there is less active FCs. :nuts. I like anywhere really that there is mountains. Like anywhere in Colorado or California. I've been to both many times and loved it every time.
HELLA PINOY
11-10-2007, 07:38 PM
Never heard of a "Private" trailer park, lol. XD
Aside from the beach and the malls and clubs...thats about it to do here. Oh wait! The Blue Angels are here for the homecoming weekend. I love watchin the Shockwave truck :D :D
Basically its a semi truck with a jet engine strapped to the back of it that makes it break the friggin sound barrier. XD
Manna23
11-10-2007, 07:43 PM
@Vel: I like visiting California, too. Though not because of the mountains. A warm climate with no mosquitoes is a dream come true. XD
@Hella: Oh, but it is. For anyone who owns a trailer in it, of course. It has a barb-wire fence and a gate that needs a number lock and everything :D And the beach is only for residents (and their guests).

Manna23- its not that depressing is it:D
Velius- mountains are so much fun. theres one mountain near where I live, so somedays I make a trip up and take the trail up to the top and just stare off into the distance:cool:

Spartan27- welcome to the FC
and lol at telling us how to pronounce oregon:rotflmao
Spartan27
01-22-2008, 09:12 PM
I hate it when I hear people on television mispronounce our state, the worst is when you are watching a sports event and you hear the announcer say it wrong over and over again, its like nails against a chalkboard. I'm sure its annoying to others that have local preferences when it comes to how to pronounce certain locations, my parents were from Memphis TN, and they told me the true way to say certain states and cities that reside in the south. Wierd combination I have, I grew up in the Northwest but my family is all from Texas and the south, but my family is mostly liberal democrat, wierd.

Joinage. And my favourite quote to boot:
"I love America, I just hate Americans."
So, what do you think of the war in Iraq? *gets pied* I just don't want to talk about entertainment like Paris Hilton :roll
Spartan27
01-24-2008, 12:05 AM
It's kinda of funny when you think about it, most of the stuff we could talk about in here, probably has a thread that has been made in another forum. For instance we already have threads in the debates section that covers our politics, we already have most of our entertainment in the entainment section. I guess we could talk about good old americana such as something like stories about driving through wierd parts of our country, I don't know, I'm just talking out of my ass I guess.
cheez
01-24-2008, 01:26 AM
Well for funny/odd/scary stories you just need to ride Amtrak or GreyHound a few times. Every time I ride I seem to find some one who wants to tell me their life story, and these aren't the positive life stories no, these are stories involving smoking crack for 23 years, dying of colon cancer, life fall apart and moving back home, and one lady who was a chronic liar and who couldn't remember when WWII was or who fought in it. The odd this also is that I'm not a friendly person either I just like to site down and read my books, I also had guy yell at me for reading too much while on Amtrak.
I'v lived in some very different place also, I used to live in a small town in Indiana where it was nice, but for some reason people just liked to crash their cars. I had several car crashes, and two people hit by our house and this was a town of only a few thousand and the street was a residential 25mph street. I then moved from this town of only a few thousand to Lakewood, OH right by Cleveland and is one of the most densely populated cities between New York City and Chicago, and much more diverse also, some places around where I lived in Indiana the only diversity you saw was in the summer time when people tanned lol. Now I mainly resided in Connecticut, so its interesting living in different places and seeing how people differ.
As for the Iraq war stance I was against it in the beginning, and I think it was a mistake to invade. I still don't like it but I'v realized now that their isn't a going to be a good way out of this conflict. We either stay and hope that the politicians of Iraq are able to make the country stable, but that is going to take a while if it happens at all, or we pull out which might cause a civil war that would bring further pain and death to the people of Iraq, which answer is better I don't know.

Siren- welcome to the FC
on the iraq war... i was for it at first because i actually believed what the government said:cry now im no longer a fool:p:cool:
earthforge
01-24-2008, 09:38 PM
Rain- Yep. I would ask what candidate you would vote for, but I'm still waiting for a response in the politics thread.
I was against the war in Iraq. I can't exactly say from the beginning, though, because I could not understand politics at all. All I noticed was that my teachers suddenly started getting worse due to No Child Left Behind, then i realized that Bush was behind it and also funding a "war" to encourage a war. My grandmother always repeated to me that, "I don't even know why we are in there." I shortly learned why though.
The surge is just stupid. I'd like to bring up a poem of note that reminds me of such (not mine):
War is Kind:
Do not weep, maiden, for war is kind.
Because your lover threw wild hands toward the sky
And the affrighted steed ran on alone,
Do not weep.
War is kind.
Hoarse, booming drums of the regiment,
Little souls who thirst for fight,
These men were born to drill and die.
The unexplained glory flies above them,
Great is the battle-god, great, and his kingdom --
A field where a thousand corpses lie.
Do not weep, babe, for war is kind.
Because your father tumbled in the yellow trenches,
Raged at his breast, gulped and died,
Do not weep.
War is kind.
Swift blazing flag of the regiment,
Eagle with crest of red and gold,
These men were born to drill and die.
Point for them the virtue of slaughter,
Make plain to them the excellence of killing
And a field where a thousand corpses lie.
Mother whose heart hung humble as a button
On the bright splendid shroud of your son,
Do not weep.
War is kind.
I have no idea about old Americana. I just know that it is the past. I also wish to travel, but to skip th midwest. From my experience on I-5, I learned that places and cities with much more economic growth (more exports& imports) appeal perfectly.
earthforge- i'm not registered to vote:p but i have no problem telling you who i'd vote for
it'll probably be obama:eek: he clearly knows what he wants to do, and how to do it. and he seems like a far better choice than any of the others (IMO), most of the others just seem to want to argue to much, or they'll say anything to get elected
earthforge
01-24-2008, 09:53 PM
Rain- Eh, if you wish to argue candidates, please post in the politics thread. Then I won't be dinged for arguing with you.
But why are you so sure Obama "would never say anything to get elected"? He praised the Republican's as the "party of ideas." That sure sounds to me like saying anything. (respond in the politics thread)
I am not registered either, but if I had a say in the votes I know who I'd go for.
Spartan27
01-24-2008, 11:43 PM
I need to respond to the Obama thing with the republicans. First of all he didn't express his view very well, but what he was saying was that during the 1980s when Reagan was in power the republicans shifted the whole American outlook on politics, he was able to bring in Democrats, he was also able to shift our government in a very right wing direction. So its not that he was saying the Republicans have great ideas he was saying they had great ideas on how to shift the political field.
Personally I would vote for Obama, because Clinton is corporatist, I mean anyone that sat on the board of directors at Wal-Mart is certainly not getting my vote.
That is all I will say on the matter, overall this probably belongs in the politics thread in the Debate section, but I wanted to make one response directly.
Miyona
01-25-2008, 08:29 PM
I would vote for Hillary! No reason in particular :p, I dont watch many polictics stuff.
that and Im 5 years from voting.

Hey, Sage! Good to see you around!
Another East Coaster, Reporting in - though I'm originally from California.
@The political talk - I really don't care who becomes president between Obama and Clinton. I think either or would be refreshing for this country.
SageOfHalo
04-03-2008, 03:10 PM
Well, speaking as a card-carrying Republican, I have to say that I've finally figured out what the Democrats view as a great society. You go to work, get no paycheck, and go to government-sponsored/sanctioned/supplied places to get everything from groceries to medical treatments. you are told only what you need to know, adn are expected to just believe things without looking too deeply, or questioning why things have to be that way. No thanks. I prefer to not fall under the thought police society line of "you are free... to do as we tell you"
Of course, McCain isn't much better, from what I've seen... But I'll probably still vote for him just because I see him as the lesser of the evils... *sigh* I hate politics... You know how to tell when a politician is lying? Their lips move. :D
But seriously, there's only one problem with political jokes... they get elected! *ba-dum-bum* Somebody STOP me! :D :D rofl...
SageOfHalo- ronin warriors is great *high fives*, the green font helped :lmao
DarkSlayer- welcome to the FC
yeah we ended the politcial talk here because it can get too heated, but honestly i don't have a problem with any candidate right now:eek:
Stephen Colbert should have had more of a chance though:p

SageOfHalo- ronin warriors is great *high fives*, the green font helped :lmao
Well, the green font kinda came because I am using a dark skin, really... so to better be able to read my own posts, adn have them still be readable on the lighter skins, I needed to go with something that would show up well either way... but yes, it is partly because Sage is green. :D Which reminds me... I've still got to let my son watch the last 7 episodes... :D he's up to episode 32.
lol, spreading the gretness that is ronin warriors to the next generation is win :lmao
i remember that i first saw it on cartoon network like over a decade ago, good times:lmao

I love New York and San Francisco. I love the ethnic diversity of New York, the great food, the cultural institutions and not having to drive. As for San Francisco, I love the food, the cultural institutions and the architecture.
I live in New York but my family lives in California and I went to UCLA so I have visited a number of cities in California. I visited San Diego and loved the weather and nice beaches but since I am more familiar with San Francisco, it's my favorite California city.

Seattle seems cool b/c of its VOLCANO, but I would live in fear if I actually lived there...lol
Seattle doesn't have a volcano. If you're referring to Mount St. Helens, it's about a 3 to 4 hour drive from Seattle.
There are other volcanic mountains in Washington, but Mount St. Helens is the most famous.

Beautiful_death are you going to school in Northridge or is your family from there?
I really enjoyed Seattle when I visited last May. My husband and I went to a wedding in Vancouver and visited Seattle as part of the trip. We had wonderful sunny weather during our trip (Rain, you might not have liked that) and really liked the city. I like the many parks, the food and the people there are some of the friendliest people I have met.

Okay, the new BIG thing for the US is Kubo's upcoming visit to San Diego. I am so damn happy I live here, I mean, WOW, he's coming here, to SAN DIEGO, not somewhere else...:yay

Oh silly me, i forgot to mention, I am a resident ofCentral Florida, more specifically: Casselberry Florida, and i work in Maitland, both cities are a stones throw north of orlando and about an hour from the coast. I've been a fan of bleach for a few years, first the anime then the manga, and i also write FF under the same username, i am the writer of Return of the moonfang, a time travel fic.
As for your question, forge, I am a republican, and one of the few that support president bush. which in reality is really sad. but i won't say anymore, don't want to start that here.

Ne, I read part of that fanfic. It was really good and detailed, but I lost the time unfortunately. I'll try to read it again sometime, when I don't have SAT's and classes to worry about.
Why? I can't really understand, what is your argument for staying to support Bush?
Sorry if people are not interested, but since Bleach is not relevent to the US beyond Kubo coming, I prefer to discuss something that is relevent like politics. Do you know they just recently gave all of the delegates from Michigan to Obama and then took 4 from Hillary? And the reasoning is not there (for the record people who debated with me before, I do have more support and did pull an A out of critical thinking.)

What do you like best about where you live the USA?

Welcome to the FC-- NakeBenihime, Navirae and Sapphire Star!
What do you like best about where you live the USA?
For me it's the lack of... well... anything. :XD Living in the plains, not much of anything besides open sky, endless horizons and flat land. East Kanasa is really hilly, just not much where I am.
One time I took a bus from New York to Denver, Colorado to see Pope John Paul II. I went through the Great Plains on my way to Denver and saw the most beautiful rainbows in the Midwest (Iowa perhaps?). Since I grew up in New York and went to college in Massachusetts, I am use to seeing tall buildings and crowded streets. I also am used to seeing mountains, hills, rivers and valleys with trees and shrubbery.
It was disconcerting and amazing to see perfectly flat land, endless rows of corn and clear blue skies that stretched to eternity. I felt like I was a lost on the ocean with no land in sight even though I had my feet firmly planted on the ground. :D It's funny how I still remember that experience to this day.
Vel, I guess you must be used to living in the plains. Did you grow up in Kansas?
What do you like best about where you live the USA?
I love the energy of New York City; there are always some people around every hour of the day. I love the world class museums, the symphony, the ballet, the Met opera house and the Broadway musicals. (Too bad I am too tired and lazy to attend all these events as often as I should. :D) In addition, I love the ethnic diversity and the great food that comes from different cultures as well as the food that is quintessential New York fare (pizza, bagels and hot dogs).
While I think the public transportation system could be cleaner, I do appreciate not having to drive. Part of the reason I moved back to New York was so I would not have to drive since I don't enjoy it.
Velius
06-03-2008, 06:15 AM
Actually I know a bit more then you would think about the busy city life. :XD Yea, I've lived in Kansas a majority of my life, 16 years now total, grew up here pretty much, but wasn't born here. Was born Los Angeles, California and moved here when I was 8. At around the age of 17, moved back to California for a while with some family, actually moved quite a bit back and forth between Kansas and California after that. Went back to visit a lot. Got to see lots of sights, since it all was by car or by train. The mountains in Colorado were by far my favorite.
aquavit
06-03-2008, 06:31 AM
How long does the trip take by car or train from Kansas to Los Angeles?
I used to take the bus for six hours traveling between New York and Massachusetts for college but I find I no longer have the tolerance or patience for taking the bus. I imagine the train might be nicer.
I did go to Colorado on that one trip but I actually don't remember the mountains. Maybe I was more impressed with the plains so I could not remember anything else but this one national park in Denver where there were gopher holes.
I lived in Los Angeles for three years attending UCLA there so I know some parts of it. I like some parts of Los Angeles but being from New York originally, it was a little to spread out for me to appreciate it as much as New York. Plus, I think driving might be too stressful for me in Los Angeles.
i wanna join, im from tennessee but am living in east texas not far from dallas.

I did that once and only once. :-_- All the other times I went, I made it a 2 day trip. :D The train was a lot funner. and faster. The farthest east I've been is Missouri. I guess I haven't had a reason to go any further then that yet.

UCLA has a beautiful campus, located in a very nice area of Los Angeles. I went to graduate school there but I lived on campus my first year. UCLA has some really dining hall food in the undergrad dorms.
Vel, you might be underestimating yourself. I think people should aim high so I always encourage people to apply to schools that they think are beyond their reach. You never know, the school might surprise you and accept you. I surprised my grad school counselor by getting into some of the schools they didn't expect me to get into. Of course once you're in, it's a whole new ball game.

As for travel, the furthest west i've been is huntsville alabama, and i remember that day particularly because i went to the space center located in huntsville. that was ages ago, maybe more than 12 years :D
The furthest north, used to be Cherokkee NC, and Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge in Tenn, until i flew up to DC a few years ago.
Oh and if anyone wants to know the time for a trip from Orlando to the cherokkee indian reservation it's twelve hours. Which includeds a 1 hour stop at the dillard house in Dillard Georgia (right on the border of GA and NC) for the greatest fried chicken ever! Hands down, no contest needed, and unlike other restaurants, you don't order, they bring you plates and plates of southern cuisine, an entire meal including a desert, just like down home cookin, or going to grandma's. if you leave there hungry it's your own damn fault. Granted its not cheap, way back when i think it was 25 a person, but hell, i'd drive today to go up there for some of that fried chicken.
As for south, Key west, and i've also been further than key west, on a damn near all night party fishing boat, but since that's not hard land it really doesnt count :D
To Miami from orlando it's only four hours, and another hour to homestead, then about thirty minutes to Key largo. and we usually stayed on Cudjoe key which is 22 miles north of keywest, and when you get to largo, you normally think you're there....no, since the speed limit is only 45 it takes and hour to get down there :( But the ride is beautiful, tavernier, Marathon, the seven mile bridge, Bahia Honda state park (which has a tressel railroad bridge which used to be apart of Henry Flagler's line which ran to key west but was done in by hurricanes. from the modern bridge, the old one is still visible, even though it's slowly being eroded by time. what's scary about that bridge is that when cars started coming down to key west, the car bridge was built on top of the train bridges, which are narrow as hell. talk about taking a deep breath and hope you don't loose your side mirror.
On good days the waters down there can range from cobalt to vibrant teals, and trust me when i say it's always beautiful when you get there, and even more so when you leave.
Wow, did i write an epic or what :D

Florida this time of year is brutal, because of the heat, it's made me seriously think of relocating to alaska during the summer, and returning here during the winter, consider me a cold bird, because i like to be where it's cold or cool.
The keys are a beautiful place, all those places i mentioned along the way are the various islands and or cities.
My time in alabama was soo long ago i hardly remember any of it.
No, my time in cherokkee was long before i ever started jewelry, it was for trout fishing: rainbow and brown, there's a picture of me in the second version of the pic thread, page 94 i think which has me standing on the oconolufftee river which flows through the heart of Cherokkee holding two trout. i used to love going there, until that damned casino came in, they've stopped stocking the river and the campground where i was standing is long gone and who knows what's there, maybe a hotel or something?

I have felt three earthquakes when I lived in Los Angeles. One time, was when I was in class and it happened so quickly we didn't have time to get underneath the desk. It was minor so I just felt the chair shake. Another time I was in my room and felt the wall move slightly when I was sitting on my bed. So nothing eventful.
The last time was pretty scary. The earthquake center was somewhere by Las Vegas but it was something like a 7.3 earthquake. The earthquake happened around 2 am when I was asleep. The ground shook and I woke up thinking it was a loud party upstairs. The ground moved again and my stomach felt like I was in in free fall. My roommate freaked out so I had to calm her. Luckily I don't think there was an aftershock so we stayed in our room.
Living in New York City, the hurricanes past by and does more damage to Long Island than it does to New York. I haven't really seen anything too bad. As for tornados, I was in Tusla, Okalahoma one time when there was a tornado watch in effect but nothing happened.
Rain, the heat is unbearable in New York as well. I am glad to be indoors with air conditioning. :D As I stated before, my favorite weather is mid-80s with no humidity. I hear it's going to rain here tonight, so it will hopefully cool things down.
Ive never been in an earthquake or a tornado
a tornado went through my city not too long ago (few years) but i was out of town at the time
aqua- mid 80's with no humidity is nice ^^
I prefer mid 60's, but not air conditioned that low or anything

I've only been through one earthquake of semi-large magnitude. It happened while I was inclass (and on the second floor), as the epicenter was on the Hayward fault right next to where my college was located. Everybody freaked and ran out like chickens with there heads cut off. One oppurtunist tried to snatch my calculator after the quake.
The heat is reasonable where I live. However, everywhere else it's smoldering. I hope I can stay where I live for two more years, hopefully it will stay longer. I hate people being idiots. Fame doesn't have any connection whatsoever to money, and yet people believe in that misconception.

Anyone remember the 2004 hurricane season? check out this link for some chilling information:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Atlantic_hurricane_season
Florida got walloped by four hurricanes that year, Ivan obliterated parts of the panhandle (northern florida) Charley struck north of tampa and cruised right over orlando, right over my house, even though im a bit north of orlando, with winds over 105 mph!!!! Francis and Jeanne struck the east coast pretty hard! In sebastian, where my cousin got married in April, the Captain Hiram's resort and bar as annihilated by francis and jeanne, i saw the pictures, man it wasnt pretty.
furthermore, during those two storms, several marinas in sebastian were also wiped out, and my boss has a house there Frances totalled the 45 ft fishing boat he had in a lift over there.
the next morning after charley was like waking up in a war zone. trees were everywhere, powerlines were down, and we were without power for 4 days. There are still some royal baka's who havent gotten their roof's fixed yet, and we didnt need it cause we had put in a new one 3months prior to the storms
edit: Lol i just remembered, the day Charley struck,i was out at the orange county convention center preparing boats we had set up for the boat show which was set to start later that day. and we had been watching charley for some time, but that bastard underwent a rapid increase, and around noon that day, the intercoms came on and said they were closing the center at noon, and i was like wtf are they talking about and someone came up and told me that charley was coming.
talk about scary... the sheriff of orange county mandated to have everyone off the roads by 3pm and on the way back it was rainy and windy already, but i got home and boarded up the house and set in for the storm.

I LOVE crowds! XD Iono...I dont think I can ever live in a small town...but that's just me personally. I'm Asian, so I like diversity, good food, and boba. My cousin goes to Duke University, and she tells me that over there they call Boba "Bubble Tea"...O.O Iono...I dont think I even know what state Duke is in... ^_^;
aquavit
06-26-2008, 02:48 AM
Ah, boba tea. I was first introduced to it when I was in Los Angeles nine years ago. XD
We have boba tea here in New York and I believe the restaurants here call it pearl tea or bubble tea.
By the way, Duke is in North Carolina. Being in the same state as UNC-Chapel Hill, the two schools have a big rivalry.
Welcome, Nibbles! Where are you from?

XD Thanks, aqua. XP I think it's kinda sad that I dont know what state my cousin is attending college in...especially since we're practically sisters. *bows head in shame* XP
yes...Boba (I've grown up calling it by its given chinese name) or bubble tea is awesome stuff. the nearest boba place in my neighborhood is literally a 3 minute walk from my house and from my school. To those of you who have never had boba/bubble tea before, you HAVE TO try it! XD...of course, the first time I've ever had it, I wasnt too crazy about it...but now I think it's the BEST.

Hahaha, I think boba tea is an acquired taste. I love boba tea too. I introduced some of my friends to boba tea and they didn't like it. I can't figure it out. :sweat

06-26-2008, 03:36 AM
XP It was actually an acuired taste for me too. I didnt like it when I first tried it in first grade, but after that, I because addicted! You know...I think it'd be pretty cool if I went to NYU...just so I can experience New York all over again. (the only time I've ever been there was when I was five--too young to remember anything). The only problem would be having the grades. XP

I've never heard nor tried boba tea, i guess its something not easily found down here.
one thing though, i do love raspberry tea, it's very good :D
I live in Queens, New York. I was in LA for three years for school so I know some parts of LA.
Queens??? Pretty cool. But I have to say, after Manhattan, Brooklyn is the most happenin spot in NYC. I live in Brooklyn, but I've went to school/worked in Manhattan since 3rd grade :D

I've heard that Manhattan is really nice...but very expensive. (I read about it in Gossip Girl!)
But wait...isnt the Tiffany's in Manhattan where they filmed Breakfast At Tiffany's?@?!?!?! O.O
Awesome!

Manhattan is INSANELY expensive, but you get used to it :cry People here fork out enough cash to buy a house in a suburb for a cramped studio.
Gossip Girl is not the most reliable source of info about NYC :sweat
Yeah, I love Breakfast at Tiffany's! *Audrey Hepburn Fan* Never been to the actual tiffany's, though :rotflmao

lols, Gossip Girl is the closest thing I have since the last time I visited New York, I was too young to remember anything. :cry
*is also an Audrey Hepburn fan* I'd love to go to the actual Tiffany's...or to have breakfast outside of Tiffany's. Either way, I'm a happy camper. :D
Yah the Manhattan people are truly blessed. I mean, I guess if you could afford to live the lifestyle, then by all means go for it, you know? The thing is, New york seems to be more...cramped than LA...so I'm not sur eif I would ever be able to get used to that. But then again, you dont have to know how to drive if you live in New York. *has yet to get her permit, much less her drivers license*:p
Hah, I've been to LA and personally, NYC is way funner :p But I agree it is cramped, lol :D

lols, LA is very sparse compared to NYC...and I heard that shopping in NYC is way better. But whatevs. We've got the lower sales tax. :p

Damn you!!!

XD One of these days, I'm gonna find me a rich husband, then I can go to New York and Bury one of his wallets with yours! XD We'll hold a grand funeral! *falls over*

Welcome, Melody. I think we need to update the first page with new members and where they are from...
I am sure there are anime fans all over the country but some of them don't really join forums or are members of other forums so I am sure there are some from Nebraska and Rhode Island. Plus, the fun of a forum is to meet people from other parts of the US and the world who share an interest in Bleach. :XD
Melody- im quite sure ive seen another BA member from nebraska, they just haven't joined yet:lmao
this FC is really unbelievably dead
every ethnic/regional FC is pretty much a chat thread, so this should be also, but alas:lmao
do you guys think we should ask for someone else to take over, since the owner has been away for so long
Melody
07-08-2008, 09:05 PM
we should get a new owner then
And I've joined LOTS of forums and I only found one Nebraskan and he wasn't a big anime fan

Rain--Do you go to Georgetown? This guy I know is going there this year.
Hmmmm...since we are all from America, and food is a big part of an average American's life, I have new questions to throw out at you guys:
1) What are your favorite pizza toppings?
2) Which fastfood place do you think sells the best hamburgers?
3)Favorite thing to put on frenchfries?
For me, it'd be...
1) My favorite pizza toppings (other than cheese) would have to be pepperoni, mushrooms, eggplant, spinach, red bell peppers, and onions!
2) I think that the best fast food hamburgers come from In&Out. HANDS DOWN! XD They're absolutely amazing...But I must say that second place for hamburgers, would have to be a toss up between Carl's Jr. and Burger King. :D
3)My favorite thing to eat frenchfries with would have to be either ketchup, or a Wendy's chocolate frosty. French fries with chocolate frosties are very yummy together.

lols. *lives in California* XD I last went to New Yor when I was about five...that was about eleven years ago, and I still dont really remember much. The nice part about New York is, you can live there, and never have to learn how to drive--I mean, there's taxis, subways, and several other forms of public transportation. And their shopping is better.
But here in LA, we have LOWER SALES TAX *remembers an earlier convo with Cara*, and I think we have better food. XD
I just love in and out. It's amazing stuff. But I heard that New York has amazing hot dogs. The last time I had a hot dog was when our cheer squad performed at the Rose Bowl. My friend bought me one, and it was pretty good. :p
But I'm thinking of going on a diet. I'd like to lose about five pounds or so. I'm about to go to Asia for the summer, and whenever I go there, I can't help but notice that the people there make ALL Americans look a little chubby. XP
1) What are your favorite pizza toppings?
pepperoni all the way
well, that or a hamburger. Thats right, put a hamburger on top of a pizza, and hold them together with chili.....god bless america:lmao
2) Which fastfood place do you think sells the best hamburgers?
Burger King, its the home of the whopper, there ain't no fighting that
that or white castle
3)Favorite thing to put on frenchfries?
Don't you mean freedom fries:hm
as for my answer......chili:D

I'm not suer why, but I've never really acquired taste for chili fries. I mean, I like chili, and I like fries...but I dont like them together. XP Burger King's whoppers are awesome...I think burgers like the Big Mac are overated. :D I've never tried putting a hamburger on a pizza before...:headscratch but I'm quite adventurous when it comes to eating food, so I should try it sometime. I eat so much it's ridiculous. People often ask me where I put it all. XP In response, I point to my belly. :D

My favorite pizza topping is bacon
Best hamburger place is Burger King
I like putting ketchup, salsa or ranch dressing on fries. I need to try putting them in ice cream
ComeComeParadis
07-10-2008, 11:57 PM
^Yes, you MUST put icecream with frenchfries. It's a heavenly concoction! XD
And I totally forgot. french fries (or FREEDOM fries as Rain put it XD), are pretty good with ranch dressing. :D

1) What are your favorite pizza toppings?
I prefer a cheese pizza with pepperoni and sausage, lightly done.
2) Which fastfood place do you think sells the best hamburgers?
With me, it's a tie, The whopper from BK and the Big Buford from Checkers, or Rally as it is known in someplaces. In Orlando, they're called Checkers. Second would be Wendy's
3)Favorite thing to put on frenchfries?
Mcd's and checker's fries require nothing other than salt, (they are perfect on their own) only BK fries require ketchup.
New topic:
What did you spend your economic stimulus check on?
I just bought myself a new computer :yay I got a Dell Inspiron 530s i dunno about all the fancy stuff, today's been a crash course in new tech, but coming from a 1.8ghz pentium 4, i now have a dual core which runs 4.40ghz with a 360gig hard drive and 3gig ram. i also got a new flatscreen monitor, and :wtf the quality of the bleach episode of this week was stellar, playing on the new monitor, i feel like i was in the dark ages earlier.

1) What are your favorite pizza toppings?
Broccoli, fresh garlic, and mushrooms. Best combination EVER! And it has to be real chopped garlic. I'm not sure if other pizza places do that though. It's going to be hard for me to enjoy pizza from now on now that my parents store is shut down :(
2) Which fastfood place do you think sells the best hamburgers?
Wendy's. I don't like eating fast food often, and after I have a burger, I'll be good for a while and won't want another, but I do enjoy Wendey's Big Bacon Classic. Hold on a moment... scratch that, Stanley's has the best burgers EVER! I forgot about them because we only get them once in a great while, but they are really good. Except once again, not something I'd have often even if I could. I don't like eating junk food a lot. It grosses me out having it too often.
3)Favorite thing to put on frenchfries?
Ketchup or salt and vinegar. I don't like Burger King's fries though...or McDonald's anymore for that matter.
