HERE ARE THE RULES FOR THE FC: PLEASE READ THEM AND BEHAVE ACCORDINGLY

*If you do not like a pairing DO NOT post in that pairing FC. If you read the fanclub and want to discuss something that was said then sort it out via PM or elsewhere, do NOT go into that fanclub and start a war. Anyone posting in a pairing fanclub that isn't a fan will almost automatically recieve a ban.

*You can discuss other pairings but when others discuss your pairing negatively and you don't like it sort it out through pm, if you break the above rule to start a flame war it's an instant ban.

*Neg reps to rival pairing fc posts over such things won't be tolerated. I consider this being in an FC of a pairing you don't like therefore breaking a rule.

*I'd suggest just totally not reading the fc of the pairing you don't like but I know that is never gonna happen. You all wanna be able to talk about other pairings so much well fine but just be prepared for others to do it about your favourite pairing also. These rules were changed as per YOUR wishes so don't come complaining to me when you decide you don't like the change.

Ch17: Ichigo tells Rukia his mother was killed. First step of Ichigo --> Rukia trust.
Ch18: Rukia follows Ichigo to the cemetery. Ichigo broke down in front of Rukia. Next step of Ichigo --> Rukia trust.
Ch19: Rukia contemplates on Ichigo. Rukia --> Ichigo understanding.
Ch20: Ichigo and Rukia meets and runs to save Ichigo's sisters. Further understanding of Rukia --> Ichigo. Appreciation of Ichigo --> Rukia

Volume 4:
Ch26: Kon running away from home. Rukia walking into Ichigo's room and sitting on his bed. XD Nothing Ichigo <--> Rukia, but it seems like they're a married couple or something!! XDD
Ch27: Ichigo and Rukia at Don Kanonji. Ichigo noting Rukia having gentle side to her. First time access to Ichigo's thoughts of Rukia.
Ch33: Ichigo, Rukia and friends were brought to the principal's office for showing up on National TV. Rukia got them out of trouble, Ichigo and Rukia walking next to each other and in Ichigo fidgeting about the possibility of rumours being close to Rukia.
Ch34: Ichigo getting nervous when he feels rumours spread about him and Rukia. XD (Refer Chapter 7, Ichigo told Mizuiro that he doesn't care what other people thinks of him, but this chapter he became inconsistent and anxious about the rumours. XD) Slight Ichigo --> Rukia.

Volume 6:
Ch52: Rukia is running away, and remembers the lunch she had with the girls. Slight Rukia --> Ichigo.

Volume 7:
Ch53: Ichigo worries, and find her with Renji and Byakuya.
Ch54: Ichigo-Renji first fight. Renji explaining how Rukia protected him by going out. ^^
Ch55: Rukia understanding Ichigo's reaction, and still wanting him safe, helps him out. He freaks out, and is about to defeat Renji when Byakuya helps his VC.
Ch56: Rukia wanting to be by Ichigo's side, who is deeply injured. Ending up helping him and saving him. Is taken away, leaving Ichigo in despair.
Ch57: Ichigo's despair (not wanting to live anymore) and resolution to go and save Rukia, to become stronger for her.
Ch58: Ichigo's sad when he understands that no one reminds of Rukia, and left pondering when he realises that the world still continue to live without her.

Volume 9:
Ch79: feel the life coming back to Rukia when Renji told her about Ichigo barging in. ^^

Volume 10:
Ch81: Ichigo's talking with Ganjuu about Rukia, slight Ichigo --> Rukia.

Volume 11:
Ch94: pure IchiRuki goodness, brought by Hanatarou and Ichigo reminding Rukia.
Ch95: Ichigo and Renji second fight ^^ Ichigo saying that he doesn't care about his opponents, and he'll save Rukia.

Volume 12:
Ch105: Ganjuu insist on going to save Rukia, because that's what Ichigo wants the most.
Ch106: Chad explains that Ichigo went all out for Rukia, just to save her
Ch110: Ichigo's resolve to fight and save Rukia saved him against Zaraki (Zangetsu bringing him into his world).

Volume 14:

Ch181: bittersweet departure, wonderful IchiRuki moments. Must read. End of SS arc.
Ch182: Ichigo asking Urahara to apologise to Rukia. Back facing Urahara. Ichigo telling Kon that Rukia is not coming back. Back facing Kon. Implied Ichigo --> Rukia.

Anyone read the latest chapter yet? I've read the spoiler and I think it's kinda sad that Orihime has to be 'lectured' by Nell. But I'm a little relieve that she said something other than "Kurosaki-kun." However, I've been seeing other people's post stating that Nell just confirm that Ichigo has 'feelings' for Orihime because she gave him the will to fight again. I mean when I saw such a post, I was half worried for the IchiRuki ship, and half WTF?! I think Ichigo needs his friends to support him, that's it! I don't think he has romantic feelings for her. What do all think of this new chapter?

Meh Lucia, I think like you. I'm thinking this is a big parallel of the SS arc, when Renji and Rukia mended their friendship; it is time to do the same for Inoue and Ichigo.
I'm really not bothered by this chapter, although I can see why IchiOris are swooning over but o__o' take a look at the whole picture and it's just written IchiRuki everywhere. Even in 269-270, which is not so long ago ^^

personally i feel that he needs the support because he feared/fears that his friends will abandon him with his new powers, and since he gained them to protect his friends he "hoped" they wouldn't be scared and would accept that side of him. Thats all i see there, ichigo is feeling all alone and lacks confidence cause of Orihimes scardyness, but then when she screams for him to win he realises that she still supports him, and that make him more secure and thus more confident.

I can totally see how it can look shippy, but in my mind it aint nothin more than ichigo needing reassurance that Orihime (his friend) doesn't fear him

I also think this is not a chapter to 'leap of lurve'. Ichigo and Orihime have always been distant, couldn't really connect. And since it hurts her so much to love him this much but never able to connect with him, this is her opportunity to be real friends with him. At least, she can be a friend and not some silly girl pining on the sidelines.

Rukia and Renji mended their broken relationship in SS. It is only natural for Ichigo and Orihime to bond as nakama. The theme of this arc is friendship, not love. Chad stood up for her, Chad has always been close to Orihime much more than Ichigo. Even Ishida is closer to her, and most recently, the Rukia-Orihime friendship is also touched upon. The only person Orihime couldn't really connect with was Ichigo, and right here, after being an emo glass doll for three chapters, she finally gave an encouraging yell to him. But then again, she only did that when Nell reminded her that Ichigo is a kind and gentle person.

This chapter only reassures me that Orihime can never measure up to Rukia. Because Rukia would not stand around looking scared for three chapters. And Ichigo not being hurt anymore is great - he doesn't fear anymore that his nakama would reject him. He protected his nakama without fail, like Rukia told him to do in 196 - and like he vowed in that very chapter. He wouldn't need to fear Shinji's words in 189 (where he said his friends will abandon him) becoming true.

.-. i for one kinda dreaded this chapter and needed it desperately. Even though i cant stand any kind of ichihime closeness in anyway, it would atleast be better if they became closer friends, as even ishida & renji, who had not worked together before HM arc, are together, the bonds of the team are tightening..now all we need is some ichiruki and this bond of feelings will be complete xD

Wasn't Orihime looking all scared around masked Ichigo? It doesn't seem that surprising to me that a slight change in attitude would give Ichigo a boost; it's easier to protect people who don't look like they want protection from you, after all. Furthermore, the lecture from Nell really dampens this chapter as an IchiOri one. Makes the chapter more Ichigo x Nell, if you ask me.

wow, everyone is so productive! I am happy there are many drabbles and pictures to make up for the lack of Rukia. (forgive me for not contributing much, I can't draw or write awesome stories...)

As for the most recent chapter, I can only say I've given up on reading manga until Rukia shows up. It's incredible dull and boring to me and I honestly don't care for orihime's reaction/bonding/whatever to Ichigo and his Vizard power. I don't understand why KT let Rukia "die/dying" for so long without giving a hint of her status. oh and Chad too, but no one really cares about him (poor Chad T_T). I think KT intentionally does this because there's probably a twist to their (or just Rukia's) rescue. However, I have lost interest in manga. I'll start reading it again when Rukia comes back. ^_^

I'm glad that Ichigo was given a boost by Nell and Orihime. And I'm glad for some more words from Orihime--she still sounds a little tentative from Spacey's translation. But this "don't get hurt anymore because of me" sounds like a turning point of consciousness for her character (really echoes Rukia's words! )

I don't see shippy because I didn't see a drop of shippy before--BUT I do see communication and feeling, and if there's going to be an IchiOri ship, it starts at this point, with this chapter.

Just don't think that's going to happen, though. Be patient.:)

Regarding to this chapter, I think nothing can fulfill the lack of IchiRuki goodness so I guess it is hard to say appreciation words for Kubo but meh, like mentioned before, Orihime and Ichigo actually started to develop a friendship, Ishida and Renji had their turn, elsewise Rukia and Orihime. The other combinations have been developed earlier in the series so I guess it was their turn. Nevertheless, Nell being the one who is trying to convince Orihime about Ichigo's kind and protective nature was just usual of their relationship. Grimmjow brought Orihime to heal Ichigo(to fight with him), then Nell told Orihime to believe in Ichigo. The result remains still, though, they are becoming real friends after all ^^

As a side note, like some people have been saying, Matsumoto's speech of Ichigo needing both girls has become somewhat true with the last ch, I guess. Can we say the foreseeing is accomplished and can we please move on something else, pretty pretty please? I totally get it, Orihime has experienced the shuddering in her faith and then she rebuilt it again, Ichigo was afraid of losing his friends and now he is relieved that he is not. So, I think it is freaking right time for moving to something else. Is it too much to ask for T__T Anyway, I'm just glad that this ch has the signs of getting out of the circle ^^ I sooooo hope that it won't turn out to be a one ch shot of hope like the previos ones *nods*

AND REMEMBER Orihime made a vow to herself to not need Ichigo's protection. Kubo has shown us that he was willing to forget the rescue mission in order to get to Rukia. We need to see that same determination after the fight. Well, I didn't think there was any panel that would fit any of the themes... but I am currently doing a coloring of the bridge scene-- the part where Ichigo tells Rukia that he's come to save her. (Hmmm... I guess that would have fit the "fairytale" theme... since I always refer to that whole bridge scene as "the knight and the princess"...:o oopsie)

"Hey, Rukia?" Karin asked, tapping on the door of her room to awaken her. Since she did not get any response, she quietly walked up to her and shook her ferverently. "Hey, Rukia, wake up!"

Rukia drowsily swayed, looking up from her rather uncomfortable bed. "... un?" She had a massive migraine, as well as nausea, so she really did not want to be talking right now. "Ah, Karin." She rubbed her temples to concentrate on not being dizzy. "Do you... ergh... need anything?"

"... you think you can help me?" She looked down and pawed the ground with her foot.

The older girl looked at her. "With what?" She sat up, holding her balance.

Karin looked around suspiciously, and shut the door, turning back to Rukia. "It's about my present. You know, for Ichigo's birthday." She scratched the back of her head sheepishly. "Well, err-"

"... yes?" Rukia stared intently.

"Well, I need help... I don't really know how to wrap well, and so, you think 'ya can wrap it up for me?" Quickly, Karin pulled out a box from the under the bed, and inside, revealed a nice, golden watch.

Rukia's eyes glimmered, the thoughts of her migraine disappearing from view. "Oh, Karin, is this what you're giving to Ichigo? Looks expensive."

Karin nodded quietly. "Yeah, I spent time working at some weird candy shop in town to save up." Ichigo better appreciate that gift. You know how freaky it is to see some seven foot tall man sweeping floors next to you? Ergh." She shivered.

Rukia laughed. "Eh? You worked at Urahara Shoten? So they actually do pay..." She held the watch out in her hands and up above her head to see it better. "Sure, Karin, I'll wrap it up for you." She smiled, placing the watch in the box again.

Karin grinned in appreciation. "Thank you!" She rushed, going to her own bed and pulling out her sports bag. "I've gotta go now, I'm gonna be late for soccer practice! I'm gonna kick the guy's ass! And can you tell Yuzu I'm not coming home for dinner? I'm doing something tonight. See ya!"

"Well, okay-" Karin was gone before Rukia could finish. "Bye?"

After looking around for material's in Yuzu's closet, she finally picked out a ruby red-colored wrapping paper, with green ribbons. But before she closed the closet and began her work, she spotted something in the deep corner.

Needle lace. Green needle lace, to be exact.

Rukia gasped in delight, pulling the lace out and looking at it curiously. Glancing back and forth between the ribbons and the lace, she came to a conclusion, and tossed the ribbons back into the closet.

Twenty minutes passed, and the present was unique and special indeed. As she pondered on the gift before her, she remembered something.

"Oh, I've got to wrap my own present." Pulling out a small box from her dress pocket, she placed it on an empty sheet of wrapping paper. Staring at the lace, then back at the gift, then once more at Karin's, Rukia twitched.

"I think I'll stick with ordinary ribbons..." Rukia sighed aloud, going back to the closet.

The gift itself was special anyways.

As for this chapter, I feel the same as most of you in that the most I see coming out of this between Ichigo and Orihime is a possible strengthening of their friendship. I certainly don't see the blossoming of everlasting love here, especially given the greater context of the story. I think that it was imperative for Orihime to show some support for Ichigo, even if she had to be prodded by Nell to show it, because he apparently took quite a mental blow when he saw how disgustingly frightened she looked. Kubo's made it clear that Ichigo still struggles with dealing with his hollow, and one of the biggest reasons is because he fears he'll lose himself and his friends because of it.

That said, though, I still think there has to be more to this whole frightening friends thing. Inoue's reaction and the subsequent events are just the tip of the iceberg, I think. Kubo's been foreshadowing that something along these lines was going to come to head for a while now, from Ichigo's being scared and not knowing what to do before Rukia came back from SS in 195 to the Vaizards' suggestion that his friends would perhaps no longer want to be his friends once they see what he's becoming. I don't think that what happened in the last couple chapters - Inoue's being frightened, dressed down by Nell, and shouting her support - is the culmination of this. Honestly, I personally see this chapter more as proof positive that we're going to delve deeper into this point in future, and that Rukia's reaction is probably going to be extremely important.

But I have to agree that I am getting quite weary of the plot at this moment. I think Ichigo's state of mind is interesting, but I'm not getting enough interesting right now to overcome boredom, which for me, is really due to the lack of Rukia and IchiRuki interaction. I think we've all gotten the point about a thousand times over by now with this fight, and I really wish we could move on as well...

...well, at least we're reasonably assured that however far down the line it is, that the reunion between Ichigo and Rukia will be quite an event, right?!! XD

I'm sure that like Jenni said, we haven't seen the last of Shinji's foretelling "you will lose all your friends." I expect Shirosaki to come out for real in the next chapter or so. I've been waiting for him longer than I have been for Rukia!

The chapter makes a lot more sense now that the full translation has come out. Ichigo's dilemma here was whether he was fighting to save Inoue or fighting for the sake of fighting as Grimmjow said. This chapter confirmed that even Inoue herself questioned whether Ichigo was really here to save her when she saw his Hollow eyes, and it upset her. But with Nell's help, she got past this fear and her own wish to forget about her friends and shouted out to Ichigo, which reminded him of his true purpose and gave him the resolve to win.

The fact that both Ichigo and Inoue were unsure whether Ichigo was really fighting to save her greatly undercuts any latent romance; also, Nell emphasizes Ichigo's "gentleness" or "kindness", which is something associated with his relationship to his sisters, Nell and Inoue. I agree with debbiechan that Ichigo will probably now head for Rukia but we will see the others' current conditions (or at least Ishida and Renji's conditions) before Ichigo arrives.

"Oi, Ichigo!"

Rukia drawled one day, casually flipping through one of his Shakespeare play novels. Ichigo grunted from inside his comic book, only the orange mess of his hair showing.

"What do you want?" He muttered, lifting himself from his manga and raising a brow. "I'm-"

A surprised look covered his face as he saw the girl laying at the bottom of his bed. "Oi! What the hell are you doing on my bed?! If Yuzu or Karin-- or dad--" He groaned inwardly, imagining his father's face the moment he would come inside the door.

"I approve!"

Ichigo winced at the thought.

She glared daggers at him, shoving a pillow at his face, immediately shutting him up. "Relax, fool! They won't come in. I locked the door." She crossed her arms in complete satisfaction, as if she had saved the world at that moment.

Unfortunately, Ichigo wasn't a slight bit satisfied.

"That's even worse!" He jumped up and off his bed, in protest. "Get... OFF!"

Rukia grinned, and seeing that he evacuated the mattress, decided to steal if for her own sake. She climbed up to the pillow, and rested her head on it. "Ha." She said slyly, grabbing the manga from his shocked hands and spreading the book open, planting her face in it.

"GET OFF!" He shouted in annoyance again, attempting to pry her off. "OFF MY BED!"

She shrugged, pulling herself into the blankets. "Fool, what's so wrong? It's just a bed." She flipped a page. "Oi, Ichigo. You read josei manga? Oh, and it has cute little bunnies on the cover..."

Ichigo twitched, grabbing an unoccupied pillow and raising it above his head. "Take this!" He started to slam it onto her body, but luckily, Rukia decided to slam the manga into his stomach first, causing him to clutch himself in pain, and topple onto the bed.

"GAH! ICHIGO!" She groaned, using all her might to push him off. He was quite the heavy one.

"RUKIA!" He was in terrible, terrible pain.

They were very, very loud. And unluckily for the two of them, Isshin had heard the noise. Worrying about his 'daughter', and hearing rather random noises from his 'father-proclaimed perverted' son's room, Isshin decided to kick the door down.

Everyone gasped, and Rukia turned bright red.

"I approve!" A two thumbs up approval from a perverted father. And then, he lectured them once again, scolding only Ichigo for using his man's instincts.

"Not yet," He reminded them both. "Tch. Minors."

That day, there was a twinkle in Isshin's eye, and a black bruise on Ichigo's.

Rukia smiled in satisfaction.

To explain it, Ichigo wakes up in a cold sweat after experiencing a disturbing dream after Rukia scandalously sat on his bed in Chapter 197. Of course, he should probably be more concerned with reality...

Hum...this chapter is not as bad as I first read the summary. If anything it makes me miss SS arc even more. When Rukia never doubt Ichigo's determination. She knew he was there to save her and wished he wouldn't because she didn't want to see him hurt. In that arc no one ask him why did he fight. Heck even Zaraki didn't ask him that. Even in that fight Ichigo was all about 'I can't die, I have to save Rukia'. Everyone knew he was there to rescue her. Here a captive doubting if a hero is here to save her? Not that romantic imo. Beside what is Rukia doing in this arc? The same thing as Ichigo. She fought to save her friend and dying but here we go again with a girl mobbing that a hero doesn't seem like he is fighting for her sake. When will this end?

Anyway thank god this fight is over. So next week should be an aftermath, some more bonding between Ichigo and Orihime then perhaps we might finally see if Szayel is done with his changing. Then unless Noitora finally make an arrival or Ulqiorra expectedly come back from another dimention, Ichigo should move to Rukia soon.

I admit I was disappointed when the first spoiler came out. Though the image scans surprisingly didn't ticked me off, the knowledge that Ichigo needed Orihime's encouragement to finally defeat GJ did upset and confuse me. I just don't understand Ichigo's behavior. Did he forget that GJ is responsible for almost killing Rukia twice? Shouldn't that knowledge be enough resolve for him to defeat GJ. Come to think of it, the scene is kinda similar to the Kaien-Rukia scene, where Kaien gave Rukia encouragement to defeat espada 9. Rukia gained a power-up during that time, and same thing with what happened to Ichigo in this chapter, right?

In any case, I agree with what you said, Annie. Rukia is doing the same thing as Ichigo, and so are Ishida, Chad, & Renji. They all came to HM to rescue her and all of them are fighting for her sake too, not just Ichigo alone. It makes me laugh when some fans think that because Nell said to Orihime that Ichigo is fighting for her sake, that it's already a 'confirmation' that he loves her. I say WHAT?! If that is the case, then Ichigo loves Rukia first. Afterall, he did fight for her sake during the SS arc :p

This chapter is far from being romantic. Orihime being 'lectured' by Nell about believing in Ichigo is just pathetic, imo. Ichigo is supposed to be the person she loves. If she loves the guy so much, how could she doubt him? She have alot of faith in Ichigo before. What happen to all that faith of hers? Now, I understand her fear of Ichigo's hollow. Someone said at the chapter thread that the reason why she's afraid of Ichigo is because his hollow eyes reminds her of her brother's hollow eyes. I don't know if it's true or just a rumor, but I think it's interesting that she's comparing Ichigo to her brother! I wonder what would the Ichigo/Orihime shippers think of that :eek:

Some of my thoughts regarding chapter 283:

At first imo it´s thinkable that Ichigo began to lose his
hollow powers because of the scared look in
Inoue´s face when their gazes met in chapter 282 at the end.
Imo, he was discouraged and hurt, because he wants that
his friends accept him with his dark side and do not abandon him.
Grimmjow confirms that with saying: “you´re breathing heavily.”
He realizes that something changed in Ichigo´s attitude.

Orihime is afraid of Ichigo´s black eyes.
Especially notable is imo her sentence:
“I feel like I couldn´t see myself reflected anywhere in those
eyes...” What does she want to express with that?
I´ve my opinion to that, but I won´t post it here
(at least for the moment =P).

encouragement with: “he attacked Ulquiorra just because he
heard your name.”
What do you think about this sentence?
I never thought that Ichigo attacked Ulquiorra in chapter 270
just because he heard Inoue´s name...
For me it was because Ulquiorra is the reason why
the rescue team needs to undertake such
a dangerous mission, risking their lives.
And Ulquiorra was the one who made it look like
Inoue was a traitor.
Moreover, Ichigo attacked Ulquiorra immediately
because he wanted to rush as fast as possible
